Parole Watch: Killer of 11-year-old Hamilton girl up for parole

HAMILTON, Ohio (WKRC) - Three decades have passed since a child killer was sent to prison, but for the victim's family and the local community, it feels like yesterday.

The family of 11-year-old Kerri Hintermeister wants you to remember her name and help keep her murderer behind bars.

[..]

Gill was part of the search party looking for Hintermeister when she didn't come home. Her body was later found stuffed in a cabinet in Gill's garage. She had been sexually assaulted, throat cut and stabbed multiple times.

Gill has been in prison for 36 years. He's up for parole again in October.

In 2004, one of his Gill's daughters wrote a letter asking the parole board to keep him behind bars. She told Local 12 in a past interview that she was afraid of her father.

[..]

Hintermeister's family wants people to remember the little girl who never grew up and they want the public to help them keep Gill in prison.

They are concerned that due to COVID-19 and prison overcrowding, Gill might have a better chance of getting out.

It says a great deal about a man when his own daughter writes the parole board with a request that he REMAIN in prison!

From the link above, this is a quote from Kerri's aunt:

"Apparently the daughter confided in our Kerri that what her father had been doing to her -- the sexual abuse that she had been receiving, and Kerri went in to confront him because she was going to tell on him and she never came out of that garage," Loveland explained.

I've signed and commented on both. It takes only a few minutes. Please keep other children safe and this child killer behind bars.
