I followed this case during the trial. IIRC the street had no sidewalk. Kids had to either walk in the street or along the edge of the yards. I thought about this as I walked along my property line this weekend. If I had an unreasonable neighbor, it would be difficult to walk from the front to the back of my house without stepping into his yard.
At the time of the trial, photos of CM's house were posted. Judging by the photo, he did not have a well maintained lawn. IMO, he was a cold blooded killer, waiting hours for the boy to return and then gunning him down in the street (not on his lawn). He was a coward in life, shooting an unarmed boy in the back, and it looks like he was a coward in death too, unable to face the sentence he was given.
