Hi, new to WS.
I am a friend of one of Lindsay's friends, and thought I would post some of the information, questions and the like that are swirling.
First is, why isn't the sheriff's department doing more? They haven't dredged ponds and they have an organized a search that my friend knows of.
Someone said the Colerain police chief or other officer was accused of something like assault on a female in another jurisdiction. I couldn't find any info on that, but someone here could find?
I just don't understand why they aren't doing more? And how do you get them to do more?
The family also hasn't put up flyers or organized searches that we know of. (Maybe someone could fill in.)
A group of friends is organizing a search for Sunday. Anyone here want to go to Colerain OH, west of Cincinnati to help search? They could really use some guidance from people who know how to do those searches. And some search dogs.
Some wonder if she was hit by a car on purpose.
Some wonder about her boyfriend who is 13 years older and a biker.
I know it's terrible that family and significant others always come under suspicion, but there you have it. Maybe a web sleuth could find out more about him?
Some have questioned whether the dog showing up without a leash was a red herring. (Also thinking of Lacy Peterson case). Or maybe she fell down in an embankment, OR in water, and the leash came off as she fell.
Who was the person who last saw her? Neighbors? Did anyone go door to door asking or put up flyers and get info? Have doorbell cameras been checked? Other local videos? You would think after 2 months missing, the police would release some of this information. Unless of course they've done nothing.
What time of day did she disappear? If during the day, she may have headed west towards the golf course or wooded area. If at night, she might have gone or headed to walk along the main road, across from which is a tavern, which can mean drunks seeing her etc.
Using Google maps in Street view, satellite view and regular view, I noticed that the area she was supposedly last seen in is near Regatta Dr. That dead ends, but easy crossing to Prechtel Rd. That area has a golf course.
I know it's entirely conjecture, but could she have been hit in the head by a golf ball, got disoriented, gone into the woods?
I noticed that south of where those two roads dead end is a wooded area, and if you look on satellite view, you can see that there's a fairly good size water body in there, possibly a creek. Did the police check there? Did anyone?
Further south west is a large wildlife sanctuary, with a stream. Searching that area would require a very experienced search and rescue group.
The area is close to 275. So if there were foul play involved, including an abduction, it would sadly be easy for somebody to take off out of the area.
Again, this is all questions, theories etc so not trying to place the blame on anybody--except maybe the police if they have not been doing all they can-- just trying to help find answers.
The main thing I think websleuths could help with is looking for patterns of other missing or abducted and killed women in the greater Cincinnati metro area or along the interstates and highways that go through there and the tri-state area.
Another blonde Lindsey, Lindsey Shobelock , went missing in Chillicothe (west of Cincinnati and Colerain) in February, was found deceased May 10 (about time this Lindsay went AWOL?) in Huntington Twp., which is way north of Chillicothe, up near Cleveland.Another woman in area was same type of thing, but don't have info.
Hope this give you kind and clever folks some things to help find this young woman
