No official links yet, but there's a live video on FB of responders pulling a child's body matching the description of Lucas and what he was wearing, from the Miami river. I only post this to warn others to be careful if you're on Facebook, I came across it unwillingly and saw a few seconds before I could click away, and you can't unsee that, no matter who it ends up being.

From WHIO:

Dayton Police confirm a body was found in the water near Downtown Dayton Saturday evening.

Montgomery County Regional Dispatch received a phone call around 5:35 p.m. of a reported body in the water in the area of W. Riverview Avenue just north of Monument Avenue, according to Lieutenant Jeffrey Thomas of Dayton Police.

“Upon arrival, crews did locate a body in the water and the body was retrieved,” he told News Center 7. “That body was a juvenile male and the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office arrived on the scene.”

Thomas said the age of the boy was between six and nine years old.
Dayton Police are not ready to release the identification, according to Thomas.

Thomas would not confirm that the recovered body is Lucas Rosales, missing since April 29, but did say his family has been notified and was at the scene.

He did not say when the boy’s identification would be released.
Monument and W. Riverview Avenues were closed while crews investigated but have since reopened.

We will provide updates on this developing story.

Oh no! Prayers for this child. Hoping it’s not Lucas.

Oh it doesn't sound good. It's so bittersweet - you want Lucas to be found, but at the same time pray it's not another child who hasn't yet been reported missing in the area. I hope that the Rosales family can stay strong, I can't imagine the heartbreak they've been going through.

DAYTON — The father a 7-year-old boy who disappeared at Eastwood MetroPark in April, prompting two weeks of searches before his body was found in the Great Miami River, is being accused of sexually assaulting a child.

Augustine Rosales, 48, has been accused of rape under 13, sexual battery, and unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, according to charges filed Friday afternoon in Dayton Municipal Court.

Police were called out to Rosales’ address on Wellmeier Avenue in Dayton Monday on a sexual assault complaint. The person who called in the complaint told police a 14-year-old victim, who is known to Rosales, had said he had sexually assaulted her and had been doing so for two years, according to an affidavit and statement of facts.

News Center 7 spoke to Rosales at the same home address listed for him in court records in May when officials were searching for his missing son, Lucas Rosales.

Rosales is not listed in the Montgomery County Jail and a warrant has been issued, according to online court records.

We’re working to learn more and will continue to provide updates.

These articles show he was arrested in Cleveland by U.S. Marshalls Strike Force, and has now been extradited back to Dayton. The article says the girl was last sexually assaulted on July 15 - I'm glad she was so brave and spoke up to stop this abuse:

“I'd tell him mama's here, mama's here,” Amanda said. “You can come on and I'm gonna take him home with me because he always says, 'I wanna go with you, mama.' I'm gonna take him, he's gonna be with his mama, and I'm waiting for him, and I'll be here every day waiting for him to come here.”

She also had some words for people on social media spreading misinformation.

“Don't induce panic by saying you found my kid somewhere, and we're going 90 down the highway to get to my baby because you said you found him, and the minute I step foot on ground it's not him, it's nothing - that is like ripping my heart out,” Amanda said.

She said everyone is entitled to their opinions but it’s malicious and inhumane to share those online.

OMG, people. :( Stop it!
I just started following the case. I can't imagine being so heartless and so cruel as to call this family and prank them that the caller has found their little boy.

Once, growing up we thought we found someone's missing dog. We called the number on the flyer and set a time and date for them to come be reunited with their pet. We stood and cried with them when it ended up not being their furbaby. We were devastated for them and cried genuine tears with them. I can't imagine who would be so heartless as to set up a fake reunion with this heartbroken, desperate mother and her missing 7 year-old little boy.

“We got the phone call last Sunday morning,” said Dave Rader, director of Midwest EquuSearch Chapter. “And by nine o'clock, we had already put 10 individuals plus our two drone operators up there to assist in the search operation.”

[...]

A week later, Rader expresses extreme measures has been used in the recovery mission for him.

“They damned the part of that tributary so we could get a better look at the spillovers, We also brought up our remote-controlled sonar unit to check some of the ponds, and around the facility that he was last seen in," Rader said.

According to Dayton Police Department, water levels were lower this week to help search for Lucas as well as drones, K-9 units, and other resources.

“We probably covered three to four miles, I know there were some kayakers that were actually utilized the day before yesterday,” Rader said.

[...]

ETA: Pretty sure they meant to say they "dammed" the river. ;)
Regarding ETA: Indeed!

Such a sad story all the way around. Lucas drowns, and now his father is arrested for this. I am proud of the victim who found the courage to report this man. I hope that there aren't any other victims, but statistics aren't optimistic on that.
