For all we know, kicker may have been detained by BCI. If no reporters interviewed him, he didn't give them his name. Maybe no one gave his name. jmo

I bet they detained him. <modsnip: No MSM to substantiate>

So, the Miami Herald....releases the names of victims/witnesses in a probable media-stirred frenzy case of "Black person dead at the hands of Police" for what purpose, I wonder?

Please note....again....There is absolutely ZERO mentioned of the miscreant's name, kicking the **** out of a woman's head when she is on the ground..... (just his anguished cry). This is our media!

Yes! It's a horrible tragedy! A young woman lost her life tragically. But, this is not the next GF case, IMO. Chauvin was guilty, we all saw it! This cop is not! We can see that as well. And, IMO our MSM must stop fanning the flames!! We are all hot enough and burned enough already. Peace
This point cannot be stressed too much. We are at a critical point in our nation's security and safety, and we need to stand UNITED.

So so true! Does Ms Reid know the facts of this case, to discuss and describe how Ma'Khia was feeling? Or, was that just speculation and narrative on her part? Hmmm

That's the problem. Many times now opinions are considered facts.

When real professional journalists actually reported the news they gave the VETTED facts only, and they never ever gave their opinions they knew were totally irrelevant about any story because they were trained to only report the facts they had verified before reporting.

Imo, most of professional journalism here is a thing of the past. It doesn't seem to even matter if the opinions are full of misinformation. It's destroying the trust. Polls show the media polls are extremely low now when it comes to being trustworthy.

I don't even know which channel JR is on, but I know several MSM are drastically dropping in viewer ratings overall.

I think even those that did watch regularly are tired of the misinformation only to find out it's wrong by going elsewhere for those who are more trustworthy, and for not covering cases that are huge stories that warrant a lot of coverage. The picking, and choosing of big stories to cover, and ones they choose not cover has become a turn off too, imo. It's reflected in the overall viewer rating decline of which one is trusted most, and which ones who aren't.

They got a big temporary boost because of GF being killed as they should have covered it extensively. Imo, the ratings will begin to fall again.

I'm curious about which station you find trustworthy.

Amen!

If I could like this post a gazillion times I would!

Please go back to being vetted fact reporters, and just report the facts only. Opinions aren't vetted facts, and are even worse when they are filled with misinformation like so many have been.

The facts surrounding every story matters!!

Instead why not say white police officer saves AA woman's life if they must interject race. Those are the facts.

Facts matter, and we've seen what happens when the media reports false narratives, and how dangerous it can be for those who weren't even a part of the initial story.

It comes across like they are purposefully trying to tear our country apart.

I'm curious about which station you find trustworthy.

You can do a Google search, and it shows which one is deemed most trustworthy to watch.

ETA: I should have said the station in our country who is trusted more in the world since our channels here have those from all over the world watching every day. Sorry I wasn't clear. It's just a personal choice for all individuals to make anyway as to who they pick to watch.

Seems MB FELT threatened, whether she actually was, or not. We do not know all the details, so we have to wait for BCI investigation and interviews to complete. Obviously a troubled child, or she wouldn't have been in foster care in the first place. The whole story is tragic. JMO

We don’t have any reason to think she felt threatened. She might have, but her knife attack on a dog-wielding person isn’t enough to make us think that.

I agree. How in the world can trying to stab someone with a knife who's holding a dog be claimed as self defense in any stretch of the imagination?

Kitty, mention the press didn't ask her bio mom why she wasn't with her instead of in foster care out of respect.

We've seen how uncouth, and how low the press is willing to go before when asking very personal questions to family members.

The press here being too sensitive to ask family members all sorts of personal questions hasn't stopped them one bit before. And these were parents where their children were found brutally murdered. Most due to a stanger sadistic pedophile.

Im sure you remember the press were absolutely horrible to Mark Lunsford, his two elderly parents, Steve Greone, and Sommer Thompson's mother who were all grieving bio parents. And there have been more treated horribly by our press here.

The press is supposed to ask pertinent question they know people are wondering about already. Imo, I think most people do wonder why she was placed in foster care.

I wonder why they were in foster care in the first place.None of the family mentioned it in the the interviews that I have seen.
That's a question no one is willing to answer based on everything out there about the family. IMO something was happening in her own home that caused her mother to lose custody. How long were they in foster care, were they in care previously and removed more than once?

The trouble is, that people think that the channel they watch is credible and others are not.

Why would the reason she was in foster care have anything to do with this case? I would say that it has not been discussed because her sister is in care too and as a minor, has a right to privacy.
I am sure that it is not being kept from people for ulterior motives.

Possibly because the family is blaming the foster care system.

'We don't know the details of what happened beforehand but I'm bothered that no one is asking what could've scared a 16-year-old girl enough that she felt that she had to grab a kitchen knife facing two adult women,' Reid said.

'No one's asking what would've scared a kid who's in a foster situation so much that she felt that she needed to defend herself or pick up a knife,' she added.
Joy Reid claims Ma'Khia Bryant must have been 'scared' when she lunged at another girl with a knife | Daily Mail Online

Joy Reid is not a very objective time journalists, in my opinion. Here is a quote from her show, which I watched online, then typed out her statement:

"...but the problem is it’s very difficult to trust what the police are saying …

So how should police act in a case like this, because I was saying on any instagram earlier , I remember fights, even in high school, [shrugs her shoulders] …or even earlier than that and a student brought a pen knife or something , and teachers were able to diffuse that and they didn’t have guns…So what do you make of the 10 or 20 sec ones this officer took before her opened fire on this little girl…"

you can see the video of her statement above, here:
MSNBC’s Joy Reid says it’s 'very difficult' to trust cops, claims even unarmed teachers break up knife fights

In may opinion, the statement she made about the police shooting was kind of distorted. It was not the kind of incident that an unarmed school teacher could diffuse. It wasn't a' student with a pen knife'... And the statement that he 'opened fire on a little girl' in 10 or 20 seconds---again, a distorted version of events, in my opinion.

I just cannot and will not look at the article, it's so mind boggling to me! So, "the Big Crump $$" ( IMO ) probably isn't going to materialize in this case, so they sue someone else? And, it's news worthy? Have they even buried this poor girl yet?
Grrrr

"There's been some talk about the foster family in the past, of how she's had issues with the foster family. So as a family, we've tried to kind of navigate that over the years,' Torrence told the outlet. "

So the other daughter has been in that foster home 'over the years? ' The bio family may want to rethink the plan to sue the foster family. It may backfire...

And what about the poor little sister? She has been through so much and I wish mom would focus on getting her back and getting her the support and help she needs.

The kicker appeared to say something to MB immediately prior to her running towards the others. I still cannot fathom where he came from, however he seemed to have some involvement, otherwise why did he kick the girl on the ground. Was he a neighbour, friend of one of the participants, the foster father? Who knows but he certainly got involved very quickly JMO
I really want to know who that vile man is. He could have killed that girl by kicking her in the head so hard. I can't believe he hasn't been arrested already.
