OH OH - Mayeen La'Alah Fluker, < 1 year old, Canton, missing after cross-country trip with parents, 8 Jan 2025

  • #21
MOO - the photos on NAMUS are a bit alarming. Mayeen looks severely underweight, her skin is sagging.
A bit? This child looks like she has been starving to death. I do not think she survived for long after these pictures were made.

Where is everyone seeing these pictures?

Click on the NamUs link in the original post.

Near the top of the page, left is a tab labeled "Images & Documents." Click on that tab (and be prepared to be shocked.)

I wish I hadn’t asked.

They’ll never find her. My guess is they discarded her in a dumpster somewhere.

Poor wee thing. She didn’t stand a chance.

Her parents are monsters!

MOO

I do not recommend looking at the photos. I suspect (and hope) they will be taken down pretty soon.

I found the pictures, I wish I hadn't. Poor baby! I'm wondering who took them and why?

still nothing in the news about this baby girl. Agree with everyone else, Mayeen looks severely malnourished and dehydrated. Where is this child?? Why are her parents unnamed?

What on earth is happening when a total infant who looks very unwell can go missing under such alarming circumstances and not even a blip on the news??

I've been working with newborn and seriously diseased babies in hospitals and I got to say I've never been so shocked by the apparence of a baby
It breaks my heart, that poor little thing

I am still trying to understand how you let a toddler from your sight

Edited to add: Those Photos...poor baby.

I can't look at the photos bc it will haunt me for a very long time. However, from the description you all have said, I think baby died and they disposed of her. The nomadic lifestyle is most likely due to some questionable behaviors/choices. She is only missing to us - the parents know where she is...

Shocking. LE is obviously not seeking the public’s help, otherwise this case would be all over the news. They know who the parents are and they are probably in custody, but where

Imo
This was likely criminal related travel
Rentals for that amount of time aren’t cheap, something had to fund the trip and the vehicles and whatever else - that’s a lot of travel time to be holding a job

I think it’s possible that When the parents were apprehended for the activity, there was no child but in the investigation, there were phone videos and photos through March and then they stopped.

It’s possible the identities aren’t being released because they are being used in a bigger investigation.

I also think they may have said the child died but cannot remember what state they left her in or they just aren’t speaking

Hmm it sounds like they may think the baby is still alive? Or maybe they just don't want to say that they don't think that.
