The woman, whose first name is McKenna but whose full name has not been disclosed, was last seen riding a Trek-brand bicycle, police said in a social media post. Police said the missing woman's family asked not to disclose her full name.

The woman lives in the area of Stonegate Boulevard and Medina Line Road.

Police said she was last seen about 2 p.m. Monday riding a white Trek bicycle. She was wearing a light-colored t-shirt and shorts and had left her residence voluntarily. She did not have a cell phone with her. Police said her mental state was unknown.

Police said a person reported possibly seeing her near state routes 94 and 18 in Medina County about 6 p.m. on Monday.

Police issued a short statement Friday afternoon saying they continue to investigate the woman's disappearance and hope to provide an update in the near future.

"The family now believes the female is not in immediate danger and may be in a safe place," Bath Township police said in their statement on social media. "Police investigators are working to confirm information recently obtained and will provide an update at the earliest possible time," the statement said.

At 23, she is an adult and whoever is worried may think she has a concern for her privacy.

Asking for the public's help to find a missing person and concern for privacy, to the degree they don't want to disclose her last name, are not likely to get good results.

A 28-year-old woman reported missing Aug. 22 has been found, Bath Township Police announced Thursday.

"As investigators worked closely with other local law enforcement agencies and community partners on this case, we're pleased to report the female has been located and found to be in a safe place," the department said in a release.

Police said the woman had "voluntarily left her home" and thanked the community "for its outpouring of support" as the department worked to resolve the case.

On Aug. 25, police asked for the public's help in locating the woman, who had last been seen riding a bicycle and had left home without her cellphone.
