SHERIFF'S OFFICE SEEKING WHEREABOUTS OF McGUFFEY MAN

The Hardin County Sheriff's Office is actively seeking to determine the whereabouts of Michael Bolen age 66, of 304 Hunsicker St., McGuffey.

Mr. Bolen was reported missing on Sunday evening by a family member who stated that he was last heard from on Friday March 29th.

Since receiving the report, the Sheriff’s entire detective division along with enforcement staff have employed every available resource to locate Mr. Bolen. Efforts have included an extensive search of his residence, property, and surrounding areas. Family members and friends have been interviewed and follow-up is continuing regarding information received about his possible whereabouts.

Bolen is described as being 5 feet 11 inches tall, with gray hair, green eyes and weighing 185lbs. He was last seen wearing a yellow tank top shirt, dark blue zip-up sweatshirt, glasses, blue jeans, and white New Balance tennis shoes.

He shared the house with his son Dustin “Dusty” Bolen and Mike’s brothers, Charles and Brady, said the father and son did not always get along.

The brothers said it was not like Mike to disappear. He liked to stick close to home and in nice weather he could be seen outside waving to people passing by.

Charles said Mike did something unusual on Thursday. He stayed all night at the home of his 88-year-old mother, Katie. When he left Friday morning, Mike said he was going to come back and do laundry but he never returned, Charles said.

Sure don't like where this might be going based on this info. Wonder which family member reported him missing? Sure hope where my mind is going is way off the mark and he returns home safe.

According to the Hardin County Sheriff, Michael's son Dustin was arrested on April 5 for domestic violence, obstructing justice, and possession of controlled substances. This could be unrelated to Michael's case, but it's certainly concerning.

The Sheriff’s Office was contacted March 31st by a member of 66 year old Michael Bolen’s family, stating that he had not been seen since March 29th. Despite entering the 3rd month of Bolen’s disappearance, the Sheriff’s Office and its investigative division is continuing to seek Mr. Bolen’s whereabouts – following every potential lead, conducting interviews and multiple searches.
