The poor boys did not have a chance. The father used to date Brittany's mother before dating Brittany. This woman does not have a soul.
Oh dear, really? That sort of thing always strikes me as odd.
The poor boys did not have a chance. The father used to date Brittany's mother before dating Brittany. This woman does not have a soul.
Well, that explains why she's estranged from her family. What kind of adult daughter goes after her mom's boyfriend?
rsbm, boldfaced by me
Now, I'm not talking about 'criminal insanity' here, but do you not think that the boldfaced above reveals some pretty deep mental illness? If not, do you think that it shows mental health?
Not that I think that her culpability should be diminished at all, but the thought processes involved here certainly reveal some mental illness. It is not normal to think that way.

Three babies dead because she felt like her husband paid too much attention to the boys and not her daughter.![]()
“The unusual circumstance of her meeting this man ... he was romantically involved with her mother,” Mr. Goslee said. “There is another tier of he is a semi-stepfather for want of a better term. He was never married to her mother, but nonetheless they lived together as a micro-family. Then he marries her (Brittany Cummins Pilkington) and controls her and now she is giving birth to little boys.”
Mrs. Pilkington became pregnant with Gavin at age 17, married Mr. Pilkington on March 30, 2010 — just two months after her 18th birthday — and gave birth on June 12, 2010. She continued to remain at home and gave birth twice more by the time of the first death on July 22, 2014, ever increasing the mother’s sense of isolation.

“She is 23 years old, but if you were to ask me how old she was, I would probably tell you she presents like a 14-year-old.”
When the case is presented to the grand jury, likely this Tuesday, the jurors may be asked to consider capital murder charges that carry the possibility of a death sentence. But considering the mother’s story, Mr. Goslee said he is not sure if such charges will be returned.

hmm, I am a bit surprised by the comments from Prosecutor Goslee It sounds as if he himself is a bit conflicted and sympathetic, feeling this young woman has issues stemming from her childhood. Not the stance I am accustomed to seeing from the prosecution. Makes me wonder about what we don't know that he does.
In Ohio, it is illegal for an adult (someone 18 or older) to have sex with a minor (someone younger than 18), even if the sex is consensual. Those who break the law have committed statutory rape.

:gaah: The indictment said Joseph Pilkington, 43, had lived in his future wife's house since she was 9 and held himself out as her father. Brittany Pilkington's mother has said she and Joseph Pilkington had been in a romantic relationship and she was not bothered when he took up with her daughter instead.
