MANSFIELD, Ohio — Police are expected to give more details this morning on the disappearance and death of a 62-year-old woman known by neighbors as a quiet “cat lady” who cared for several stray animals.

A press conference is set for 11 a.m. today.

Detectives say Patsy Hudson disappeared July 4 after an argument with two of her neighbors over her cats.

MANSFIELD - A 57-year-old woman suspected in the disappearance of a local woman waived her preliminary hearing Thursday.

For the time being, Linda Buckner is charged with receiving stolen property. She and her boyfriend, Walter Renz, 53, are suspects in the case of Patsy Hudson, a 62-year-old Spring Street resident who has been missing since July 4 and is presumed dead.

Buckner and Renz were Hudson's neighbors.

The way the article is worded makes me wonder if the police even went to do a welfare check back in July 2015 when the neighbor, Liggett, first notified authorities there was something wrong at her home.

Man charged with murdering elderly neighbor, remains scattered around OH

MANSFIELD, OH (WOIO) - 53-year-old Walter Renz*has been charged with murdering a woman whose remains were found scattered around Ohio.

Renz was indicted by a grand jury last month in 62-year-old Patsy Hudson's death.

Hudson was last seen in July. Her body parts were discovered in February.

Renz is charged with aggravated murder, aggravated robbery, corpse abuse and tampering with evidence.

His roommate, Linda Buckner-Blehar, was indicted on charges of aggravated robbery, aggravated burglary and corpse abuse.
