The Appeals Attorney GRUBE, LOUIS E, is from Cleveland. I wonder how much commuting he will have to do…

Is this GW4 appellant attorney? TIA!

I think his original attorney, Parker, was also from Cleveland.

Does anyone remember where this was said?

Judge Deering saying that if a prospective juror says they don't believe in the death penalty it is not enough reason for them to be excused from jury duty.

I know I heard this. Thanks!

Deering did mention in a hearing they were working on some things to try to cut down on things that would prevent a person from serving on the jury. This could be where he said this.

So, he chose to name the poor child, Bovine!? Hope he goes by Bo. Poor kid.
I think Bul's mom has renamed him. I'm thankful to his mom for his name change. I hope it helps him disassociate his reputation in connection to those heartless murders.

@Cool Cats

Here ya' go ..... yay me, to the rescue. You're Welcome!! LMAO

"Pike County Circuit Judge Randy Deering told each potential juror that any personal or religious objection to the death penalty is not grounds for dismissal from jury selection."

Bulvine, The kid was named Bulvine, not Bovine.
This should have also been a crime.

GW4 should be getting his permanent digs soon. He has been in Orient for around 2 months with the average stay around 90 days.

I remember that too. Glad that she did.

Regarding my search for GW4's mention about not wanting to name his son George and his own struggles with the family name, was to no avail. Didn't see it mentioned in his testimony. Wanted to let you know. :)

I think his nickname was "VINE".

The costs so far are $3.38 million dollars and climbing.

The defense lawyers cost $150 an hour, while the expenses include $3,600 a month for temporary housing for special prosecutors Angela Canepa and Andy Wilson.

Canepa is earning $65 an hour, but a motion to raise her pay is still pending.

Jake Wagner pleaded guilty to all charges last year and his mother Angela pleaded guilty to conspiracy and both testified against George in this trial. A conservative estimate for just these proceedings is more than $800,111. That doesn’t include any expenses that couldn’t be directly tied to this case from the incomplete documents provided to Local 12.

The bills also include housing all four Wagners at separate jails around the state including the Butler County Jail.

These invoices don't show what George's defense team spent on expert witnesses as those were put under seal by Judge Deering.

The costs could skyrocket further if Billy Wagner takes his case to trial – he is still pleading not guilty.

IMO there's only one reason why the figure spent by George's defense team on expert witnesses. o_O

Totally O T but I've read in one of National papers about that dreadful train derailment in Ohio. Is everyone who is usually here ok and safe?

Im not caught up with everything here yet because we've had bad news after bad news x3 this year so far. My other half lost his longest known best friend mid January, then his Uncle was taken by cancer. His passing was expected, then Thursday morning our nephew was found on a walkway into town. Too early to know what happened but he was 50 same age as my eldest was.

Mods delete if necessary. Sorry.

So sorry about the loss of your nephew and friends, that's so sad. Here's hoping you have more peace and happiness as we move into spring.

It looks like FEMA and the Centers for Disease Control have moved into E. Liverpool, OH, the city where the train derailment happened. Some of the locals are finally getting access to some special health care. A lot of folks in that area probably don't have health insurance and there are not many doctors nearby. Good hospitals with specialists are probably a couple of hours drive away.

Thanks Betty, the loss of friends brings it home how old we are. It's a sign of the times I'm thinking.

I did wonder about Health Insurance and those families that perhaps couldn't afford it. We are lucky here having a choice of NHS which is free for all or we can choose to go Private when we feel the need and can afford to pay for the treatment. Terrible thing to happen.

Canepa is way underpaid, in my opinion. I'm a bit surprised the defense in only $150.00 an hour. I figured it would be more. All-in-all, the total.is about what I expected.
