I didn't see anything inept in what the county prosecutor did in court. He handled the cross-examination very well. He asked all the right questions to confront RN and reveal her to be making inaccurate, possibly false statements. That's why she was angry with him - he made her reveal that she was wrong about who was in the GJ room, where they were sitting, what they did. She messed up badly in court today.
After her testimony, I've really changed my opinion of RN. I used to feel somewhat sympathetic towards her, that she may have been pulled into a terrible crime she knew nothing about. That she was deceived by her daughter and her family.
No more. RN showed her true colors today. She's deceitful, rude, insulting, hostile and very dishonest. You could tell as the questioning went on that she had made up the stories about the "mysterious man in the uniform" that no one else saw. She intimated that the court reporter was doing something wrong or dishonest. The woman was just there doing her job and, thanks to RN's lies about her, compelled her to be questioned and called into court. That's a low and dirty thing to do to an innocent stranger who has done no harm.
It's easy to see where AW learned her dishonesty and cruelty towards others - she learned it from her mother. The judge should have done RN's mother a favor and put RN in jail. At least then her mother might end up in assisted living, where she could get better care from professional health care providers, not from a mean, hateful, dishonest woman.
