Fred said he looked like he lost weight after his last court date.

This news clip about 20 seconds in, is intersting. The reporter actually comments on GW4's weight loss, saying:

"Wagner's appearance is quite different from when he first came into this courthouse about a year ago take a look. Showing a significant loss of weight from when he first appeared in court in early 2019. George Wagner heard once again how the evidence against him was overwhelming according to prosecutors and the judge."

They show video comparing how he used to look.

As for transcripts, this is just an extension of the argument defense attorneys made since last summer - they want even more detail about which evidence pertains to their client, including transcripts of recordings. Had the attorneys gotten a legal asst. to sit down and parse this out last summer, the job would have been done in about a week's time, or less. JMO, it's either a delaying tactic or just laziness on the part of defense counsel.

Maybe they would like the state to hire some more attorneys to try their cases for them, because it takes so much time.

Great post, Betty! I'm so sick of the defense attorneys whining all the time. They know they don't have a leg to stand on and are only d e l a y I ng as long as they can. The State has all of them by the bells and they know it. The defense attorneys are old and know if the lose these cases, their careers are over. Yet they know they can't win 8 counts of pre-medidated, planned, meticulously planned murders carried out in a most brutal way. Just wait till the full autopsy reports are shown, or the Jury walks through those horrible crime scenes. My opinion, based on evidence.

Yes, I think I read on some of their web sites that they consider a victory in a DP case to be if their client gets LWOP. I agree, they're trying to stretch out the time as long as possible to collect as much as they can from the state. FW probably has them jumping through a lot of hoops, too.

Jmo but if you listen to one of the early court appearances Gerlach at the end was explaining proffer to Rita. So I don’t think the proffer was something that was an after thought after Gerlach supposedly found out it wasn’t Rita’s signature. Jmo he probably knew from the start it wasn’t her signature just like Fw attorney knew the actual purchase date and how to obtain the receipts of the body armor. Jmo

Not so, IMO. Your "probably" is exactly that. These attorneys are just as ruthless as their clients...been helping the Wagners and Newcombs and Carters sleaze through crime after crime year after year...On the court records. Sickening. Then murder 8 people as their "going out in style" motto. My Opinion.

They do. Especially side by side. G4's features are a bit harder but they have similar facial structure.

Question for you Sleuthers, Did all the victims except Hannah Gilley have open casket funeral?
The answer to that question will tell all us that it had to be a 22. caliber, gun is what killed the Rhodens, but Gary’s farther made a comment in his interview with the news reports that Gary was shot with a bigger caliber gun than what killed Big Chris so there was two shooters at Big Chris’s mobile home, I can’t see how Big Chris was killed first and none of the other Rhodens/Gilley heard him fighting back with the killers, the man was shot 9 times he had defense wounds on his arm, did Big Chris fight back or was he tortured, I might be wrong but I can’t see the killers taking their time on killing any of the victims slow because the killers had to kill 8 people in 3 different locations, plant and alter evidence to make it look like someone else did the murders in all 3 locations also the killers had to gather all the trail cams and surveillance cameras up to get rid of, and after all that the killers had to deal with their guns, clothes, get away car and wash any DNA off them that might have got on them during the murders.
With all this that had to be done that night of the murders they really had to be more than 2 shooters that night because there was only a 5 hour window the killers to do all of what happened in an 8 mile area, JMO

Adding to the discussion of how different GW4 looks--later in the video clip linked above there is a shot of all the W4's pictures side by side. Not exactly sure which pretrial hearing the photo of GW4 is from, possibly his most recent hearing in September (before RN changing plea to guilty). You can see a very visible difference in GW4's face just from that photo as compared to how he looked in court yesterday. Maybe his maternal grandmother's guilty plea has been weighing on him. Hopefully so. IMO

I'm hopeful that it's his conscience weighing on him. But I never rule out changes in appearance owing to defense strategy either.
