Does anyone have opinions, or a connection to anything read, as to why Wagners may have started planning to list the Peterson Rd home in September 2015?

As far as them saying they had planned to move before the murders, I can see the time stamps to that argument working in their favor. I can also see it working against them as motive if HR wasn't going to let SW go.

I guess the question would be "why" and did this plan to relocate play a key contributing factor to the custody battle and ultimate escalation to murder.

Half her family has been murdered. The solution isn't to murder the other half. That's what the State would be doing - literally murdering the other half of her family. Enough is enough.
Simply throw them into maximum security and throw away the key. Also gives S and H the chance to say something to them which they may want to do some day. Maybe in 30 years who knows?

The "State" would not be doing anything to them. Whatever they get, they did to themselves. It's called Justice. There are criminals dying every day by the death penalty, and they've done nothing compared to what these people have done.

They took the lives of all little SW's immediate family. They don't deserve to live. I have no doubt she will understand why they get what they get.

As Tiff said, we all have strong opinions about the DP, either for it or against it. Angie Canepa put it best: "Death is not pretty."

LWOP means LWOP.

It's when someone gets a life sentence that they come up for parole. Technically a life sentence means 25 years unless the judge specifically says they have to serve a minimum of 30 etc.. LWOP minimizes all of this. Simply no parole.

Manson followers were reduced to life so now keep coming up for parole.

I can think of one reason why the Wagners may have started planning to list the Peterson Rd home in September 2015:

There is an article where Jake says he would like nothing more than to have Kylie be his and bring her and Hanna home to live at the Peterson Rd. home.

I think this home was purchased for Jake and Hanna to have a place to live together with S. In fact they did live there part time. Their home on Bethel was, I think, a single wide trailer and they needed a bigger place to be able to take in Jake's eventual wife and his daughter.

But everything changed in August/September 2015. Hanna was pregnant with another man's baby and broke off physical relations with Jake. In other words, the Wagners did not need that house anymore for Jake to live in with his "wife" and daughter. Only S would be living there part time.

Also, the August 28th 2015 date that had been scheduled for their wedding had come and gone and Hanna did not call the wedding back on. I think up until September 2015 the Wagners held out hope that Hanna would get over her phase and come back to Jake.

An article states that Jake thought Hanna leaving him was just a phase, in other words she would eventually come back to him. By September 2015 the Wagners finally got it through their stubborn heads that it wasn't a phase, Hanna really had moved on.

This is just my point of view on why the Wagners may have started planning to sell the Peterson Road home in September 2015.

I wonder if it could be the first step of trying to separate actions among the 4. An attempt to avoid tipping her defense strategy/plan hand to the attorneys for the other Wagners by keeping this particular motion and scope of Investigation confidential. Just a first random guess...
The request would have Likely included a cause the judge felt was in her defense teams best interest to approve the sealing. It will be interesting to see if we start seeing more of these.
Another option- it's part of the defense strategy that attempts to brings others into the case or point fingers (try to show it was X or X played a role) and it's in the best interest to keep that confidential at this time.
Just random guesses that come to mind.

This would make sense to me. I do think the W's tried to frame JM, and perhaps they perceived he was a "weak" target with LE. I recall, and I'm sure others here recall one of the first interviews given by LM. He was very upset about LE taking his son's truck, which, IIRC was parked in DR's driveway.

Keep in mind, though, JM had a different truck at the time of the murders. You can see it in some of the helicopter video of the crime scene at DRs. JM didn't come into possession of the red truck until later, after the murders.

IMO, current entry involves first entry. The "expert" here is an "investigator," and it's being filed under Seal is to keep the Investigator's name and amount of expenses secret for now. However, I would think the Defense has to provide the Investigator's report as Discovery eventually.

If you Google "Ohio Request for Court-Paid Expert Expenses," there is a link to the blank form. Apparently, the expenses have to be approved by the Auditor.

Sept 2015 is 3-4 months before Jan 1, 2016. Hanna was with another's baby and had left Jake. Jake had started custody proceedings, but knew he couldn't win. He pressured Hanna to give up her rights but saw it was never going to happen and knew he didn't have a leg to stand on.

Angela was pizzed big time. After all, they had waited years to move to Alaska and she had had enough of Hanna holding them back. So she started selling off her Defiance Farms animal stock and looking for houses to buy in AK because "this was gonna happen, come Hail or High Water!" After all, they had been watching the Rhodens closely since 2 0 1 4. And in 2015, they began to plan their work (murders) and then in January 2016, they began to work their plan. Premeditation to the extreme. I believe that will be their demise.

I may not have been very clear in what I was trying to say. I wasn't talking about the red truck. I was referring to the truck JM had parked, I believe in DR's driveway and LE towed it away. LM was hopping mad that they took his son's truck (in an early interview right after the murders). IIRC, it wasn't registered properly. It jumped out at me at the time that LE would do that (to JM) when they were dealing with multiple homicides of his family members.

I'm wondering if JM is just the kind of guy that LE may have picked on in the past and perhaps he made a perfect scapegoat for the W's?

Here's a link to LM's interview that everyone has seen many times. He starts out very early talking about how LE impounded his son's truck.
