Prosecutors say the Wagners — George "Billy" III, 47; Angela, 48; and sons Edward "Jake," 26, and George IV, 27 — hacked into the Rhoden family's computers and social media accounts, maybe even listened in on their phone conversations. They say the foursome used countersurveillance devices to search the Rhoden properties to see where video cameras might be recording their own movements or picking up their sounds.

They were all interviewed on May 21st 2017.

This is the very last date listed for their interviews that I can see. I think they told, or LE found out, that they were moving to AK so BCI called all of them in for one last interview before they moved away.

It fits the timeline that they went to Missouri, Montana, Nebraska (entered into Canada ) ect...after this date. And the trash pull from Days Inn wasn't until June 8th. I think they were long gone out of State when they were at this Days Inn.

If this is true from the custody docs, and we know Jake lies, but if true it explains why they started planning the murders when they did:

"In the custody documents, Wagner said he and Rhoden dated exclusively before Sophia was conceived and after she was born. But in March 2015, he said “Hanna decided that I worked too much and that I did not have enough time for her.” Wagner stated in the documents they stopped living together but stayed involved in a “non-exclusive romantic relationship” and shared parenting of Sophia.

In September 2015, Wagner said Rhoden broke off the relationship, but said they decided to share custody and parenting of Sophia.

Prosecutors say Wagner and his family started planning the killings just four months later.

The murders being discussed and then actually planned seems to tie directly into Hanna breaking off their intimacy.

They were sharing Sophia and also spending nights together which was tolerable for Jake. He gets to see Sophia more often that way and also has hope he and Hanna get back together. He hopes she will get over her "phase."

He is quoted saying that he thought "Hanna leaving was just a phase."

When she does not get intimate with him again and instead gets intimate and committed with someone else, he realizes it's really over and the jealousy burns. Now she "owes" him primary custody because it's the least she can do after dumping (betraying) him and taking away his daughter 50% of the time. Plus exposing her to other men/step-dads.

This is obviously all about Jake and Hanna not everyone else. I will never understand the motive for attacking the entire family.

As I read this I sort of started connecting dots. Sept 2015 + 4mos= Jan 2016. Perhaps the family didn’t plan the murders in Jan 2016 but instead decided to plan a trip to AK just to “check on jobs” and get her away from HMR. Maybe he thought HMR would allow SW to go for “just a little while, until you recover from childbirth and we’ll return in the Spring after you have KR.” He probably never intended to come back and she figured it out. So when she refused to sign papers for SW to go that’s when the alleged “fight” broke out about 3 wks before the murders. When BW got his a$$ whipped it made them all mad enough to make their own plans of taking SW in the only way they know how to win.***But they had to stay long enough to make sure KR wasn’t JW’s. After the murders they didn’t count on being deterred by the investigations and they needed $ and legal custody of SW to go. They went to BD to get custody set up and JW/AW wrote the infamous letter about hammertoes to prove she was his. When BD presented this to the judge he told them he would need more proof and that’s when they came up with the fake documents but had to predate them before the murders. After they finally got custody then they had no $ and that’s the real reason for the GoFundMe acct. When this fell through is when they decided to sell the house. By then the heat was really on and they had to get the hell out of Dodge. I’m guessing they didn’t have enough $$$ to get to AK to begin with so they were trying to move somewhere else. When the loan application fell through they had to move on. It’s possible LE had something to do with the failure of the loan.
***This is when I believe the plan for murders came about and the reason for all 8 was a crime of passion due to fear of retaliation from the surviving family members that they feared the most.

All of the above is MOO and my theory comes from the documents, media & timeline we already have in the WS collection. Feel free to disagree but I would be interested in other theories.

After reviewing the Discovery document posted by you on p. 13 of the Media and Timeline thread...the ONLY interview with George 4 was May 21, 2017, an "audio" interview, same day that JW, AW and BW were also interviewed by audio (not in front of as BCI agent) because they were in transit to AK and not reachable at Peebles home. Records show they were still close to home (Jackson) even in early June. My point is, IMO, based on posts here, George 4 refused to talk. No proof if he did or not, but I will try to find mention of the refusal. IMO, George4, being named as the "most vocal" in the threats, is the "explosion waiting to happen." And I don't mean ratting on his family. All opinion.

And it was that last bit of workmanship that investigators say proved key to their undoing.

During a news conference announcing the charges Tuesday, Pike County Sheriff Charles Reader said the killers had made a mistake: They had left behind pieces of the equipment they used to build silencers. And, after 2½ years of investigation, the final break came Oct. 30: Authorities recovered a silencer. No one would say how or where, but Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine said that final piece of evidence was taken to the lab to be processed. Those results came back Nov. 7.

IMO, Does anybody else think one of the gun suppresser blew apart during the murders, also when GRs father made a statement during his news interview that the corner told him of shell casings found at Big Chris home & that GR was shot with a larger caliber gun, again JMO
Reason why I think one of the suppression blew apart was a muzzle stamp on GRs head that would cause pressure on the homemade suppression, JMO

IMO The Wagners had no thoughts of moving to Alaska until they started being questioned very hard by LE, JMO they ran to Alaska so if they where caught they could flee to Canada where they would not be extradited back to US if it’s a death penalty case, Mike DeWine used the news media to his advantage when they would do press conference telling the public that LE had no evidence of how to arrest anyone and was asking the public for help, that made the Wagners feel that that they was smarter than LE, that’s why the Wagners came back to Ohio, I would really not like to play cards with DeWine, What’s Everyone Though To That?

It used to be a lot easier to flee into Canada from Alaska, but in the last few years records show up on both sides of the border. My spouse had a teenage incident that was expunged, but 40+ years later it's regurgitated every time we cross the border on our motorcycle trips.

So, MOO, the W4 were deluded if they thought they could escape extradition by being in Canada.

A ways back, I tried to piece together articles on their time in AK and in transit to/from. I hope the links to the articles are still good.

Also, they sold the Peterson farm and closed the sale on 3/17/2017. From 3/17/17 until they moved into the AK rental (about 6/21/2017) where were they??? That's about 3 months of time. Assume they were at a Day's Inn in Jackson (no state mentioned) just before the 6/8/2017 trash pull for at least a couple days.

JMO, MOO, I think after 3/17/2017 they were staying on FWF property. I'm assuming they were also keeping the trailers and trucks there. JW must have suspected there might be a search coming at the FWF, and that's why JW moved their trucks and trailers to the 41 property where he thought they would go unnoticed.

I was thinking about something last night and am interested in hearing other opinions. Perhaps we just don't know, but something that has always bothered me is why the Wagners were not contacted and interviewed immediately after the murders. It would surely seem to me if local word spread quickly that there were custody issues between Hanna and Jake, this would logically have been the first route to take. However, I do realize blame was going to the Manleys; they were totally set up by the Wagners, and it worked initially.

Jake was interviewed first, about 3 weeks after the murders (from my memory only, then Angela and Billy in Sept-Oct 2016 after which Reader announced "locals"...as his theory.

I forget when George IV was interviewed, but it has forever been said that he refused to say a word. Hmmm. IMO, he played a huge role in the murders.

I personally think George played an equal part in the murders we have to remember he had full custody of his son after a drug incident with his exes new baby. I fully suspect the Ws had a roll in that, JMO. GW was going to insure his brother had full custody just like he did as repayment for whatever the family did to help him. This family is close and as my sons always say "you gotta back your brothers play".

There just is no way that LE did not talk to the Wagners. One of the first things they most likely did is check on S. And Jake had been over there that night/week and it would be impossible to ignore that.

I think what is going on here is that LE branched out and talked to all the family members including the Wagners, and got their initial statements which is what they do.

Then when the initial facts were sorted out they knew they needed to do a formal interview with Jake and this is more than just having LE write up a statement, this is a more serious interview with video and audio. They will most likey use these interviews to show the Jury how he lied.

There is an article from when they were in Alaska and the reporter said that GW4 refused to make a comment and I don't think GW3 ever said anything to the media either.
But I seriously doubt that GW 4 just sat mute when called into BCI for formal questioning.
If that were the case he wouldn't go into the interview at all and would communicate with them through an attorney. You can refuse to talk to LE.

But the Wagners wanted him to back up their story and told him what to say.

All only my take on it....

Something that I have frequently thought about is JW changing his story several times about when he picked SW up from HR. What if it was during the murders and SW was asleep next HR? That would explain why she only received two shots and with a silencer it may not have woke SW up or scared her. It makes sick to my stomach to think she may have been there but it is the only explanation I can think of why JW keeps changing his story. JMO.
