Could this be a delay? He wants to change his legal team. And he could be saying he wants, to represent him self. Only to ask for a new legal team.


I said since day one. All four should of demanded a speedy trail. And their is know way the prosecution, could have handled, 4 death penalty at once.

All my opion!

If he demands to represent himself (there is nothing that shows he would do this) then they can't try him with the DP. No one in Ohio can be convicted on death penalty specifications unless they are represented by 2 death penalty qualified attorneys.

Yes, had all 4 went for speedy trial someone would have been let go maybe. They would only have had time for one trial.

According to his attorney he is a model inmate at the Butler County Jail following all rules and regulations of the jail.

He wanted to get bond but his bond hearing was cancelled, continued they call it.
He could be furious about that. Plus he was upset about not seeing his attorneys enough in person even before the covid virus came. And he is upset with the court room acoustics - tech.

Wait till he finds out this:

Shortly after the Guardian broke the story, Collins called the Guardian.

“This is not uncommon [for incarcerated defendants to file their own motions]; no issue, the motion will be rescinded,” said Collins in a call to the Guardian. Collins said Wagner was frustrated with how the case was progressing and filed the motion on his own without consulting his lawyers. The court appointed lawyer said he has spoke with the Clerk’s office and the motion is going to be vacated before a hearing can be held.

His new nickname will be ... Mad Billy ...

This may come as a surprise to some but this happened in Columbus Ohio. What normally happens IMO, is the defendant has an emotional meltdown and thinks he can do better by himself .. only to realize they are in way over their head.

Event: HEARING ON STATE'S MOTION TO SUSPEND DEFENDANT'S PRIVILEGES Date: 09/16/2019 Time: 01:30 PM

The Court finds that on August 6, 2019, the State of Ohio filed a "Motion to Suspend Privileges," requesting that the Defendant's phone and mail privileges be suspended as a sanction for violating an order of this Court that the Defendant refrain from all contact, directly or indirectly, with several persons, one of whom is Rita Jo Newcomb.

Having heard the stipulations and arguments of counsel, the Court finds that the Defendant has violated the order of this Court by engaging in several telephone conversations with Rita Jo Newcomb and by exchanging written correspondence with Rita Jo Newcomb;

and the Court further determines that the Defendant's violation of the order of this Court warrants restriction of the Defendant's telephone and mail privileges, as hereinafter set forth.

Therefore, the Court hereby revokes, in part, the telephone and mail privileges of the Defendant, Angela Jo Wagner, including incoming and outgoing correspondence by telephone and mail, except for the Defendant's communication by telephone and mail with the Defendant's attorneys and with investigators and mitigation experts employed by the Defendant's attorneys.

(She can get books and magazines from Amazon and other places, they have to come from 3rd parties not from individuals, that's a normal jail rule.)

Wow! I do remember this case, but I didn't keep up with it! IIRC, back then, I thought everything criminal that happened was or could be connected to the Rhoden murders. I remember this one because it was a car dealership. Also seems like I remember someone on another site claiming the victim was her ex, and the son was her son? Thanks for sharing. JMO

Before covid stopped visits I don't see why someone would not be allowed to visit her because the Judge did not suspend her visitation.

I think AW probably has several visitors. She knew alot of people in the buy/sell groups, and despite the Discovery and evidence that has come out, I think some people still think they are innocent. Certainly not I! JMO

I don't think she ever came to court for Angela but she did for the other 3.
