‘A law enforcement source has confirmed that investigators found some 200 marijuana plants in the executed Ohio family's indoor grow operation, CBS News senior investigative producer Pat Milton reports.’

They may have been small plants like tomatoes in those little pots you buy to set out in the spring.

Anyone know if the cams were hard wired or needed wi-fi? If wi-fi, wouldn't a cheap jammer have been sufficient to disable them? I'm not familiar with trail cams.

Also, one thing has been bugging me, well, the entire case bothers me greatly! But Little Chris was found hiding when he was shot. I just wonder about the circumstances surrounding them shooting him? Was he running for a weapon? To try to leave? For a cellphone?

I keep remembering him in the pic of him at the wheel of a sports car and his nephew in the passenger seat. They both looked so happy.

All I can find mentioned on Rhoden property are:

As for little Chris, about where he was, I think we need to put this into perspective.
Canepa says all were in bed except 2 of them which are Big Chris and Gary.

In 2016 articles came out saying weird stuff such as:

Little Chris was the shooter, little Chris was close to his uncle Kenny and was staying with him and was found shot laying over his legs, little Chris was outside running, little Chris was in a crawl space....etc.....

For clarity.....The only thing ever said about little Chris MAYBE not being in his bed is when Leonard Manley gave an interview where he stated that LE had gone into Dana's to locate his family and when they came out they had not located little Chris so LM told them to go in again. They did locate him but not at the same minute as they located Dana and Hanna. They had to go back again to find little Chris. They then found him!

This really does not mean much. Well, he could have been hiding next to his bed. He had 4 gunshot wounds, 2 were to the top of his head, so maybe he was beside his bed and they looked down on him. But, all we have is LM saying LE had to go in again one or two times...period. Then right away after that little Chris was found! So he was not "hidden away."

Canepa says 6 were in bed. We do not know why LE did not find Little Chris the 1st or maybe 2nd time they went in. This hardly equates to little Chris being in hiding somewhere else in the house.

Let's find out at Jake"s trial in 2021. Yes, Canepa wants to do his trial first so we can count on a 2021 trial. Why Jake first? Because he is the most culpable in my opinion, for many reasons.

Yes, I remember. JMO, they were seedlings being started indoors for outdoor planting. As @GoBuckeyes said, the two properties didn't appear to have all the hookups, etc. necessary for a large scale grow op. We'll find out.

First rule in illegally growing is to be as inconspicuous as possible. Obviously the Rhodens knew how to conceal the grow op even from family. Most likely you are correct as the timing to plant outdoors in Peebles was only a couple weeks shy, at the time of the murders. According to Almanac.

My point on this theme has been to - put where Chris Jr. was found - into context.
The "rumor" of him being out of bed is so persistent that it is taken as fact. All we have to go on really is what LM said. Period.

That LM was pretty likely in a state of shock, and that Canepa said all were in bed but 2 of them, it seems much more unlikely that he was away from his bed.

I do find it peculiar though, that Chris Jr is the only one where it says he was shot on the top of his head. Seems a bit awkward to do that to a person laying in bed. How would that happen? Sitting up in bed? He stayed up late playing video games someone who knew him said...humm.....(opinion)

Why does it even matter? Because the thought of him being aware, hearing things, being scared and hiding near his bed is very disturbing and many of us hope that is not the case.

Like why does it matter to know why they killed Kenny? Because his family has the right to understand the motive behind the attack on him. Why a loved one was killed matters. This has been talked about for more than 4 and 1/2 years such as:

1.) He was killed just to throw investigators off. "Red Herring" so to speak.
2.) To make all the murders look drug related or Cartel.
3.) He knew too much, for example, about the custody fights and Jake's death threats.
4.) He would possibly take revenge, they were scared of him.
5.) The Wagners held something against him personally and wanted revenge.
6.) He saw something suspicious that night and was spotted by a Wagner who feared he would be a witness against them.
7.) He got involved in the custody "war" supporting Hanna too much and/or supporting her leaving Jake.
8.) He threatened the Wagners straight out that he would kill them if anything happened to Hanna.

Johnny, I think the child custody was at the center. I also think there was something else going on we didn't know about that HR and the Rhoden family knew. I think in all their threats and bullying of her HR made threats back and they knew if she told they would go to prison. JMO.

The only thing I can think of in this scenario is the Rhodens threatening that if Jake fights in court for custody they will try to prosecute him for what he is actually getting prosecuted for now! Count 23, The other 3 Wagners have 22 Counts.

Jake Wagner got his pride hurt from someone who he thought he could tell her what to do/think and how to act, in a lot of HR past FB and Twitter post she would make comments that she was never going to be good enough for JW family, he was both a physical and mental abuser. GW4 ex wife showed HR that she didn’t have to put up with it but it cost her the son. HR wasn’t going to give her daughter to the Wagners, HR, showed Jake (A Few Times) that she had know trouble getting a man, that drove JW wild , JMO he started cry to mommy and Daddy that they would never see SW again and I wonder if Little Chris took up for his sister to Jake and he went back to Flying W Farm with lies of threats from the Rhodens family, that would have pissed the rest of the Wagners off, because 1 girl and her family stood up to the Wagners empire and it cost her and the other on Union Hill their life the night of 4-21/22-2016,JMO

was it ever mentioned that his bedroom was the room with the opened window? I still believe that window was an entry point or an exit point for JW. Say Jr was hiding and JW finds him just before he’s exiting the window, then shoots him from an elevated position, thus striking him at the top of the head? Just a theory.

The open windows were at Chris Senior's and at Frankie's not at Dana's where Chris Jr. lived.

It's not that easy to tell if Frankie's window really is opened, it's easier to tell Chris Senior's window is open.

They found shell casings on Chris Senior's front porch so seems to me they went in that way. Also, BJM knew where the hidden key was at Chris Senior's and Jake could have know too. Why? Because Jake lived next door at Frankie's on and off when Hanna lived there. Jake could have easily made a copy of Chris's key and still have his own key for Frankie's. Sometimes it's that simple.

Everyone handles things differently. He may have been in some kind of shock. He may be one that breaks when by himself. He may also feel he has to stay composed because of all the media. Men are just different when it comes to showing their feelings.

Of course, my apologies to LM for wording that comment in a way that made him look badly. LM has conducted himself with great strength and reserve through this entire ordeal, as has the rest of the family. They've been amazing.

What I meant to say was LM early on was impatient with the officers handling the murder investigation. He had good reason, considering his family was wrongly being targeted by LE. In retrospect, they were treated badly in those early days and weeks.

If LM made that statement to officers searching his daughter Dana's home, unable to find CR2, he was showing some frustration and impatience. That was certainly understandable and I probably wouldn't have been able to show the strength and focus that LM did that day.

ETA: IMO, the Manleys & Rhodens are heroes in this horrible situation. They discovered the crime scenes, held up strong, advocated for their deceased family and supported each other. They've been a tower of strength in showing solidarity and commitment to finding justice for their deceased loved ones.
