Does anyone know where James Manley was when he was arrested for removing the tracking device or did he turn his self in?
I found the answer to this question. During my searching yesterday I came across pictures from the Cincinnati channel 5 media . Among those pictures were about five pictures of a male talking with officers and then being handcuffed in front of DR’s driveway.

If he was handcuffed there, I do not think it was for the GPS tracker. The GPS tracker was a year later.

That was for illegal plates on his truck, I think.

Right. It was something to do with the truck plates. This was the morning of the murders, as police and others were arriving on scene.
Wasn’t there added confusion because he had purchased the truck from Dana very recently and said he was making a payment that morning, or something similar. LE was suspicious.

Why do you think that GPS tracker was on his truck. There were probably some on other vehicles that we just never learned about.
I think they thought they had some intel about something relating to the truck or to him, but later found out they had incorrect information.

That may have been the morning of the murders. JM parked at DRs home. I think his vehicle may have been in the way of emergency vehicles etc and if I remember rightly. I thought I read that LE wouldn't let him move it though.

James Manley truck was parked on the other side of the yellow cautions tape the day of the murders, that had Dana Rhoden house blocked off, Lenard Manley was telling LE that JM need his truck for work but the LE thought it was used in the murders so they decided to have it impounded for out of date tags, James Manley got mad that’s why he was handcuffed until he was took to the police station for a interview of the murders, JMO

Point of clarification. Question.
The truck JM drove on 4/22 was not the very same truck JM drove that had the GPS on it.
The GPS truck was an entirely different truck right?

Eventually LE released the truck back to him and I thought he was driving it a year later when the tracker was put on. Good question.

They took him in for questioning the day the murders were discovered. They confiscated his truck, etc. They did the same to his sister, BJM. Recall that's one of the reasons Len Manley was so upset in those first interviews - his daughter, son in law and grandkids had all been killed and BCI was trying to blame it on his son and daughter. SMH.

The only thing James Manley and his sister did that day was discover the bodies at the 3 Union Hill Rd murder sites. After calling 911 BJM called either Leonard or James. They took off, Len told James to go to Dana's and Len went to BJM, who was at Frankie's.

James walked in and knew they were all dead (most likely a lot of blood there). He walked back out the door, heard the sirens and ran down the driveway to flag one of the BCI agents driving by. They pulled in Dana's driveway, found the bodies and started questioning James. There was something about him asking to move his truck because he didn't want it to be part of the crime scene. He needed it to go to work. He parked it on the road and then they impounded it and took him in for questioning. IIRC, James was cutting wood back then. If he didn't work, he didn't get paid.

They did NOT take any of the Wagners into custody.

The detailed timeline at the first page of this thread has details about the time from him getting the word, going to Dana's, flagging down cops and cops calling in report from Dana's. I had to do that because so many people here at WS, in this thread, kept going over and over that incident trying to find a way to blame James Manley.

Correct. He had bought the second red truck from someone. In photos at the crime scene the day of the murders, you can see the truck he was driving that day. It was not a red truck.

You can do a search of all these threads here at WS and will find photos of both trucks. The topic has been discussed here many times. There's a "search" window in the upper right hand corner of the WS thread page. Look for your profile, then directly below it you'll find the search feature. You can do advanced searches, too.

I'm glad! I sometimes try to avoid answering questions, though, because WS requires us to go find the link to back up what we stated. That takes a lot of time, since there are now 68 threads to search. After 8 years, I'm trying to find another way to do that. :)

ETA: Now that I think of it, maybe some of our members who post here don't realize when someone gives a factual answer to a question about the case, we have to provide a link to back it up. It's always made it a little difficult to just "shoot the breeze" about the murders, trials, etc.

Haven't heard any of that in the video from the court hearings, nor from any attorneys, nor from news media coverage.

Sounds like a lot of gossip.

Part of it is in that MSM article that was just recently posted, so take what you wish as gossip. Much information is not and has not ever been in court or in the media.

No, the truck he was driving on 4-22 was not the same truck that had the GPS on it. I prefer to discuss also as you do.

I disagree, but I have a lot of other stuff to do right now, so don't have time to search all the old photos. Sorry! :)
I have no clue what you mean. He was not driving the red truck at the time of the murders. You do not need to search any photos for me. I know which truck he was driving the day of the murders.
