Lol I don't know about you but I've never made an $800,000 drug deal.
BBM

Can you tell us where you got that number? I have watched that opening and testimony 4 times now and never heard that 800,000 number. I appreciate any help you can give me if I missed something. TIA

JMO
LOL that was supposed to be the ruse BW used to talk to CR that night, they went and looked at his grow op and when the went back in is when the killing started.

Perhaps the custody thing was jumped on because of the fake custody docs. They could have drawn those up in case they got killed while getting thier pounds of MJ back. Lots of people have tunnel vision. fortunately I don't. there's a few different ways this could have played out. I was never married to the custody only deal.

No, they have the dates for the custody docs. They were done around the time the custody fight was going on and when the Wagners were actively planning the murders.

Keep in mind, the Wagners were very active on social media. All of that activity, those comments, private messages, texts, etc. have all been tracked down and read. LE knows what they were talking about and planning at the time of those custody docs and it wasn't a trip to Mexico.

I can't speak for Raisin.

As for my post, you've missed my point.

I don't believe the mj plants have anything to do with the murders. My comment was meant as a "rebuttal" of sorts to those posters who appear to me to be trying to say kr and CRSr we're big-time drug lords. Jmo
Ditto!!!!

The weed was located on the top of the garage. Look at CRSR garage next to his residence. On the backside there were steps leading to an upper level room. That is where his bud was. BW & CRSR went up there and walked back down when BW got cold feet. Once they killed CRSR JW knew that CR still had the keys in his pocket. He went in CR home and retrieved the keys to go back up to the grow. The only logical answer was to steal his weed. I believe LE removed the stairs leading to the grow room when they removed the trailers. If u look at the older chopper photos from the time of the murders you will see the stair leading up to the 2ns level of the garage.
Was it said where GR was when BW went to the door, when the went to the barn and when the shooting started?

  • #265
The custody docs were icing on the cake. By the time LE discovered those documents they were already onto the W4 like a duck on a junebug.

  • #266
Thanks for the explanation. I understand.

The problem is that GW4's defense team has now weaponized that particular topic in an attempt to harm the state's case against the Wagners.

We used to discuss it a lot here, but, JMO, now that Wagner defense attorneys are using the grow op subject to distract jurors and the public from feeling sympathy for the victims, its not something we can discuss now. JMO only.
Oh you are right. They will hammer it to death now for sure.

Maybe they did do it over custody but everybody is sticking thier heads in the sand about this mary jane business. it doesn't mean they needed to die. Trying to minimize that by saying Oh maybe they were waiting for it to be legal. Yeah ok whatever. It wasn't legal at the time. They probably were good folks, but they were not the saints ya'll are making them out to be and I'm ok with that.Just shows they have flaws like the most of us.

Now? They were always going to hammer it. It's relevant. It's unfortunate that so many refuse to see the big picture. Weather it was motive or not, it's still relevant.

When it comes to the Wagners murdering the Rhodens and Hannah Gilley, though, the MJ stuff is irrelevant. We now know it wasn't germaine to the murders. Wagners killed the Rhodens and nothing changes that. All that matters is the evidence, and there is plenty. If anything, the drug issue could backfire on the Wagners. They seem to have been much more involved in it than the Rhodens.

  • #270
I think the MJ issue might not have been the motivation for this crime, but it could have contributed to the jealousy the Wagner's had. It's my opinion that there was overall a jealousy of them and Jake and the custody issue is just one of many reasons the Wagner's were mad/jealous of the Rhodens.

We can't really understand fully because I think most of us here wouldn't do the things the W's are accused of (and in my opinion guilty of). Most don't murder a family over custody or want total control of their grown sons lives including their daughter in laws.

I think it will be slammed down by AC every time the defense brings it up.

Yay!
James Manley, brother of Dana Rhoden, is our next witness. He is allowing us to show his face and is his voice @LawCrimeNetwork

Hi folks. Been awhile… glad to see GW’s trial is finally underway. I thought a few of Dana’s male family members might allow their testimony to be seen/heard. I’m pretty sure Leonard Manley would want his testimony shouted from the rooftops if he were still alive to tell it, God rest his soul!

On the topic of the judge’s ruling re: witness testimonies — it could always be worse. The judge overseeing the ongoing Kristin Smart trial has completely banned live streaming and audio recordings. Only one press photographer and one press videographer are allowed inside the courtroom and together they make up the entire press pool. The videographer is only allowed to record video (no audio) of the judge, defendants, and attorneys. Only a limited number of reporters are allowed inside the courtroom each day, and those that get in are determined on a first come first serve basis (i.e., the first __ number of reporters that sign in each morning). All other reporters must watch the proceedings from the overflow room. Laptops, cell phones, and other electronic devices are not permitted inside the courtroom nor the overflow room. The press has to solely rely upon whatever notes they manage to jot down by hand.

ETA: The press pool in the KS trial is also not allowed to record or photograph evidence/exhibits.

I think what we've heard, via the prosecution and JW's own admissions, from the killer of five of the victims states very clearly that these murders were done for custody of HR's daughter. IMO, it will be proven that was THE motive. However the victims were living their lives, and as far as I have read about it they were all hard working craftsmen, caregivers, blue collar worker and child raising young women, does in no way invite the murderous actions in that awful night. Those actions by the Wagners were evil and perverted. The children and other family members left behind will suffer from that evil and they deserve justice. AJMO

It's only relevant to the case because BW used it as a guise the night of the murders. That's it. Will the defense try and use it for more...IMO...absolutely but that doesn't validate a thing in my mind. It inly brings up how the prosecution will deal with it. I think they're ready.

Not yet. He may have been back in the trailer. opening statements are just a general outline. AC will go into more detail as she goes along. There are experts who will testify about where the killers and victims were standing, etc.

Not sure who will be on the witness stand today, but likely more family and friends who discovered victims, more first responders

I was broken hearted watching James testify. He saw thing he can never unsee. May he and his family somehow find peace.
