CRsnr had 2 safes in his bedroom, a large free standing one and a smaller one in his closet/wardrobe, one of the witnesses said the smaller safe in the closet was missing, I can't remember the name of the witness who testified to this

As to the MJ -- from day 1 it was not hard to figure out that the Rhodens were cultivating and selling MJ in a large way. It was also not hard to figure out that it wasn't some Cartel execution. It's MJ not opiates, for one and leaving the kids alive, another reason this is my opinion. Does it change anything? No. The 4 Wagner's planned and executed an complete annihilation of an entire family due to child custody, couple jealously, or bad drug deal, etc., or all the above. It doesn't matter why, really. The fact is, they did it, 2 plead to it, and the other 2 are just gambling at this point. Dealing MJ doesn't make you bad ppl, ppl. Is it illegal? yes. But I grew up in an area just like this in the Appalachia Mountains and a lot of Good ppl have fallen to this illegal activity to survive. Just My Two Cents. Doesn't make it right but it also doesn't mean you deserved to be murdered.

"Big Money Mike"

Brought up by the defense in cross-exam of LR. LR had heard of the name but did not know him.

First time hearing that name for me. Locals, how about you?

Defense seems confused about the value of commercial marijuana. I think that's where Mexico may come in for the defense. For the moment, it looks to me like the defense considers any marijuana grown for sale as commercial. Commercial is low grade and is prevalent from south of the border.

I also question if a cartel would need to go house to house to eliminate so many people? What does that do? Would they remove cameras and go to all this trouble? Would they drag bodies to bedrooms, lock a door and put a key back or heck even know where a key was in a gutter?

I think the Defense knows exactly what commercial marijuana is and what it is used for. That is why you saw the question regarding dabs. That question did not just come out of the blue. It seems as Sr may have had his hand in many pots (no pun intended).

I've been following from Day 1 and that's first I heard of "Big Money Mike" too.

Grrr... Now I need the remainder of the cross exam on LR. Dropped out and buffered right as LR was going to answer how GW4's appearance has changed.

If the defense is riding this marijuana pony, GW4 is looking at quality Wagner family time.

That's why my comment says "For the moment". However the question was asked immediately after questions about the hydroponic setup in KR's shed. Mexico was mentioned on prior days, but not in this cross-exam (so far).

Grow ops are irrelevant.

Two people have confessed to these murders. They've provided full accounts of all 4 Wagner family members participation. The have directions on where to find evidence, including the murder weapons.

The evidence is there, voluminous amount
The confessions are done

The Wagners killed the Rhodens and Hannah Gilley. It's all over except for the formality of the trials for those who refuse to accept a plea deal.

Unless there is a convicted cartel member-inmate on the defense witness list that's expected to testify about a business relationship with Sr gone bad, and that their DNA located at the crime scene was admitted as evidence, I trust the jury will view all this MJ talk, species, and value as squeaky noise. Two of the four Wagners have already admitted to committing the crimes and why!

So it was the Mexican cartel who murdered the Rhodens, framed the Wagners, hypnotized them into buying all the supplies for the murders? Did the Mexican cartel place the murder weapons into concrete buckets, then hide them in the "duck box" in the pond that they built for the Wagner's grandfather? Or did they hypnotize the Wagners into doing that for them, too?

Did they give the murder weapons to the Wagners after the murders, so that Wags could post photos and descriptions of them on social media?

That seems very unlikely. The defense is pretty desperate to try this tactic. Seems likely to backfire.

If I was a juror, there could've been a tunnel to Mexico and I would not be swayed.

The MJ angle seems to be what the defense is working. Cartel? They're still going with that? Taliban? Al Qaeda?

All it takes is one juror...

Personally that is what I think this is all about. One juror thinking that "hey, at least they took out some bad guys. Hillbilly style." Perhaps a juror who lost a family member to opiods.

That I believe is the intent of this defense.

Isn't that a bit insulting to the citizens of Pike County? That's assuming the jurors (and by extension, the citizens) are very dumb and very racist. I don't think they are. It will backfire on the defense team. They are very desperate, though.

With multiple confessions, a mountain of evidence and the killers leading the BCI to the murder weapons hidden on the grandmother's property?
