The Wagner's decided to sell their Peterson Rd/Defiance Farm property in July 2016. From April 2016 until June 2016 Angela made it crystal clear from her Defiance Farm posts that she loved her farm and wanted to stay there.

They had just built a barn and a chicken coop for the 2 grandkids. They had several different animals all over the place. Angela had a huge vegetable garden, etc....

Something happened around July 2016 that scared the Wagner's off. I think this anyway. My opinion.

I believe the house went up for sale that September. In July Angela was trying to sell all her animals.

One guess I have is that the Wagner's did not understand BCI. BCI brought this huge RV into Waverly as their headquarters and said they wouldn't leave until they solved the murders. In October Reader made it clear he believed locals did it and maybe in the summer of 2016 the Wagner's were told by BCI that locals were suspected?

But something happened for Angela to give up her Defiance Farms. She said she loved it, she had nice decorations, she was proud of it.
We know the interview of Billy's was in Sept. and they had been trying to talk to him before that and couldn't catch him. I wonder when other attempts were made and if he was starting to feel pressure that summer?

For all the answers we are getting now with all this evidence, there is no doubt so much we just don't now about the investigation and who they talked to. I'm sure in a small town like that, every time someone was interviewed, it was talked about. I am sure the W's were feeling either uneasy because of who they talked to or maybe uneasy because they had no idea who they were talking to.

I would be for sure and I would likely be angry that in 5 weeks, no evidence against George has been presented. Stop wasting our time with all this garbage meant to confuse the issues, and hide the fact that they have no real evidence.
The only evidence I have seen against George directly is where he backdated that custody document he signed. But that is no where near evidence of murder. It's not illegal either I don't think unless he tried to present it in court. We know Rita did not notarize it. She confessed that she did not.

Other than that, nothing.

I think I see where prosecution is going now.

  • He's tying the cartridge cases/ballistics from Frankie & Dana's murder scenes to the cartridge cases found on Peterson Rd.
  • Then he's showing these cartridges used in the murders did not match the other guns found.
  • Therefore, the cartridges match one of the guns dumped in the pond.
  • All of those guns found in homes, plus the guns in parts found in the pond are on the family inventory list of guns.
  • Therefore, they owned all those guns before the murders, the ones they used for the murders were put in the pond.
  • George lied about the inventory list, which contained the murder weapons
  • Conspiracy
Thanks for helping me understand where the prosecution was going with this. When I had a chance to listen I was trying to understand why they prosecution was going over guns that were not used in the crime. This now makes sense.

Yeah, like having 30 tuxedos in the closet indicates you go to a lot of formal events.
Or maybe that you were a Chippendale dancer.....

I added this a bit later regarding Billy:

There is no statute of limitations on murder. Wagner's didn't think this through. They thought the small "keystone" cop department in Pike County would give up and believe it was a Cartel professional hit and set it on file as a cold case.

Remember? Billy told investigators it was navy seals? He was trying to point the investigation away from locals and on to crime drug bosses. He was quick to blame it on drugs. Drug dealers did it, not locals living around there.

On cross Parker establishes rooms A, J and D are bedrooms where evidence was seized. BCI agent does not know whose room is whose. All on first floor of FWF home.
Wonder why the agents didn't ask? Or at least try to establish it in some way?

That's how I remember it, GWIV was there helping in the barn.
Then that may put them back on Peterson, throwing my little theory totally off the rails. Unless he's talking the barn on Bethel, but, weren't they putting a concrete floor in the barn at Peterson? I may be like OP, and had a vivid dream.

Where does this information come from?

If this is true then Jake just again implicated George in the murders - in disposing evidence. George would know they were getting rid of the firearm pieces and parts.

Interesting evidence implicating George. George is very knowledgeable about firearm pieces and parts.
I think AC said Jake and George built the goosebox in the driveway of Peterson RD. She also said Jake disposed of the weapon alone and only Jake knew where they were hidden at.

George may have just thought him and Jake were building a Father's Day present for grandpa. Too many variables in Jakes confession. Proving that George knew why Jake wanted to build a goosebox is impossible unless AC has George on tape saying he wants to build a goosebox to dispose of murder weapons or admitting he knows why Jake wanted to build it. Jake could have just said to George "Hey gramps has always wanted a goosebox, so why don't we build him one for Father's day?"

I think Lt White always looks so neat and put together. I loved that tie he was wearing with that light blue shirt. The tie and shirt are almost the same color and he looks like he starches and irons his shirts right before he gets on the stand.

JMO
100% agree with all of the above. Lt. White is very well-dressed.

This is the first time I've listened, watched, and participated in the thread. I normally don't b/c it's easier to put myself in the juror's place. So far, as much as I feel he was part and parcel of the W4 and acted as part of them, if that makes sense, they've yet to prove it "beyond a shadow of a doubt". Hopefully they'll tie it all up at the end.
All that is needed is "beyond a reasonable doubt." Once Jake and Angela testify, that threshold will be met.

So did I.

But I'm still certain they are all guilty on the Conspiracy charge.

JMO
Same, he had to know something and help in some way, IMO, b/c of the extreme tightness of the family. However, it still has to be proven, "beyond all reasonable doubt", in a criminal case.

It doesn't. But having a bunch of guns before a murder with some missing after.
Later found broken up in a pond. And didn't they also find a firing pin?

I think BW knew they knew something or that he may falter while speaking to them. No one wants to talk to the cops but especially true for a career criminal.

I have been on three trial juries which probably accounts for my reasoning.
I have had so many clients walk in my office and tell so many different stories it takes me a week to get to even a tidbit of truth. And that is just so they can claim the earned income credit or child tax credit. That is what makes me so skeptical until I see solid proof.

I think it would be even more important when a man is on trial for his life to have proof beyond a reasonable doubt.

I was going along with the poster saying this:

I was under the impression that they went in, around Father's Day of 2016. JW (iirc) stated that he and GW4 built a goose box for their grandpa and anchored it with concrete filled buckets,

with the firearm pieces and parts. He led authorities to them.

If George knew of the firearm pieces and parts used in the murders, that Jake later led authorities to, then it shows George was helping to get rid of evidence.

Though we joke about the excess of deer taxidermy, she really did have a cozy place she loved and worked on. Everything set up for the kids.

BCI had already interviewed Jake twice in May 2016. Billy was also interviewed in May. Only other notable incidents were the release of Death Certificates from the victims (which gave almost no information), Reader's announcement of a $10,000 reward for info about the killers and DeWine announcing they wouldn't release final autopsy results.

Did something in Billy and Jake's interviews with BCI make them start worrying? Maybe Billy wasn't able to pursue "extra income" with LE keeping an eye on him and Jake? I think Billy really was spooked. Pointing the finger at the Manleys, unfortunately, was still working. BCI was still pursuing them.

I think part of it was Jake getting custody of S, freeing him up to move to another state.

Not in the same you have, but digging for the truth, when someone is used to not telling the truth, is one exhausting, frustrating, and patience absorbing, task. This is why hope to see JW and AW. I want to see their faces and their eyes.

@Betty P

Do you think if Jake gets George convicted by making that list and keeping it on his phone that they will have to use that shock vest to keep George from choking him to death on the witness stand?

If I were Jake I would be praying I didn't get sent to the same prison as George. lol
