His testimony was methodical. But ties up one of the most important pieces of evidence in the cast. Break is over at 11 a.m., when we expect Angela Wagner to take the stand. She opted out of having her testimony recorded/broadcast. So we will all be in court. Stay tuned.
Very difficult to hear a soft-spoken
#AngelaWagner testify this morning. Shackled by a chain at the waist and the ankles, Wagner answered Special Prosecutor Angela Canepa directly and rarely looked at her oldest son,
#GeorgeWagnerIV, who glanced at her when she took stand.1/5
As she began testifying, her chin seemed to quiver, when Canepa asked her if she was guilty in the planning and cover-up of the
#rhoden family killings. "Yes," Angela Wagner responded.2/5
Canepa asked her if she aided and abetted in the homicides. Wagner, looking down: "Yes." Canepa asked her if she helped cover up the Wagner involvement in the homicides; "Yes." 3/5
Canepa: "Who else was involved?" Angela Wagner: "My husband, Billy; my sons, Jake and George." 4/5
Wagner, 52, also admitted to being involved in four arsons -- including three that involved her sons -- for the insurance money and several shoplifting and thefts. 5/5

ALWAYS gets the shot.
As his mother left and, after jurors were escorted out,
#georgewagnerIV appeared to bite his lower lip and wipe his face. It was the most emotion he has shown during the trial. More on his mother's testimony to come.
#angelaWagner confirmed much of her younger son's testimony about the motive of the killing: The family was concerned Jake's Wagner's daughter was being sexually assaulted, she testified. 1/4
So sometime in January 2016, the family hatched the plan to kill Jake's ex-girlfriend and mother of his daughter, Hanna Rhoden. Closer to the homicides, she testified that he asked her sons if they wanted to go through with it, adding nobody's heart was in it. 2/4
But they had to protect his daughter, she testified. She said the night her husband and her sons left, she had "so many emotions going through my head," that she thought of jumping in her car to stop them. But, she worried about leaving her toddler-aged grandchildren. 3/4
Prosecutor Canepa: "You did not leave the house that night?" Angela Wagner: "No ... I know all three went out the door." She said she did not know what their plan was, who was going to kill whom. 4/4
