We now know why the dogs did not react to the Wagners' approach: they knew them, they could not identify them as intruders . This is not only a massacre, but also a story of betrayal. The worst in humanity.
We should hang them high and short.

I seriously don't believe SW was showing any signs of abuse..to me this was AW's lying way to start the wheels in motion to get Jake riled up. I would think HR would have picked up on something amiss with her daughter. AW knew there was no way the Wagners could obtain full custody. What a story...makes me sick they used this child..MOO
I thought it was shocking how freely Wagners used child abuse accusations against people they wanted to harm. According to witness testimony, this is something the Wagners are guilty of themselves. moo

Will the media obtain and publish the transcripts of her testimony? I support a defendants rights, but she should have been stripped of the right to opt out of audio/video coverage. The entire world should be able to hear what evil sounds like.

Transcripts can be expensive. Someone will obtain them at some point of course. That could be an author or a journalist or a screenwriter. Whether they’ll share them is another matter. But I would not be surprised if they emerge at some point.
Tell us some more on AW testimony today

I can't love this enough! Exactly -- you would not send that child back period. And if murder hit your mind, you would have handled it now not later. Ridiculous that AC has bought in to all this BS. IMO.
I don't think AC is buying into anything. I think she is allowing Angela to tell the story. It doesn't have to make sense and we don't have to believe that Angela thought Sophia was being molested or that AC believes any of it. The motive was getting Sophia and we see in texts to Billy from Angela before the murders that she is harping about Sophia being red in her private areas and her suspecting something was going on. Their texts show she nagged him about it and he said he had a plan, he would tell her later. So weather Angela actually believes their was abuse or not isn't important. She told Billy this and it's clear from Jake's interactions with Hannah he mentions it also. It is the motive that lead to the murders. Angela kept putting it in Billy's head that something was going on and he needed to do something. Maybe it's made up and Angela never say any sign of abuse, but she used that to get Billy to make a plan and figure it out. That lead to the murders. So she's telling the story of how it lead to murder. We will never know if she really believed something was happening to Sophia or not, but her digital trail shows she pushed this issue, pushed it with Billy until he did something. This could be created to get control of the kids, this could be something Angela was so paranoid about she really thought everyone expect her own family was abusing the kids, she could have never saw a single sign of abuse and made it all up, but what we do know is there is proof she told others this is what she thought and saw signs of. She made Jake and Billy at least believe that Sophia was being harmed. Then Billy, wanting to make Angela happy (we see that in his texts also) made a plan and told the boys and then it went from there.

AC does not have to believe the story Jake and Angela have told in order to believe that in their minds this was happening and that is what lead to the murders. AC isn't saying the abuse was happening and so these evils people took out this family, she's allowing Angela and Jake to tell what THEIR motive was (real or imagined doesn't matter, it's what lead to them deciding murder was the only option).

Reporting things to authorities carries risks if you are a crime family. And in this case, the agency for child protection might have had questions about the kiddos not sleeping in their assigned rooms but sleeping in bed with grandma. Wasn't the purpose of the blue and pink rooms to show "anyone" that the kids had rooms? Or did I hallucinate that??
IF CPS is ever called, yes. It's also to the advantage of the parent who is not married, and is non-custodial. It shows they can provide appropriate sleeping quarters for their child, of either sex. In today's world, it's considered the standard. I think it actually started in the foster system, b/c in yesteryear, children would sleep in one room together, and children of the same sex often slept together. I say yesteryear, but it still exists for the most part, due to financial reasons.

AW is so full of herself! Here's my take when I read she said that:

NOT taking her to Dr. & reporting suspected abuse means they intentionally allowed the abuse to continue. Who in their right mind wouldn't want to put a stop to it immediately? What parent or grandparent would risk sending a child back & putting them through that for 4-6 more months while they made a plan? I don't even have children and I can't imagine waiting long enough to get a Dr. appointment to find out. I'd have that child in the ER ASAP.

If they REALLY thought she was being sexually abused, one of these crazy people would have gone over and shot someone the very day Sophie "allegedly" told Angela CRjr was putting his fingers in her. Anyone would want to. When it comes to the Wagners, THAT scenario makes more sense than waiting while the child continued to be abused.

She has me torn up! I hope the defense rips her to shreds. I don't think it will affect the jury's decision on George. The lies she told were to her family. They acted on her lies.
Any loving Grandmother would do that in a heartbeat, there'd be no leaving a grandchild in danger....EVER!!....AJMO

And when EA testified she was also accused of inappropriately touching the child...it shows AW knew just what to say to get the rest to turn on her too.

I don't believe for a second AW actually thought that child was being harmed. I believe she was jealous of the women in her sons lives. JMO

The 35th day of #GeorgeWagnerIV's murder trial is under. Sorry for the lack of early tweets! Was in the courtroom, scribbling notes. Jurors are on a brief break. I have to head back into the courtroom now & will share info. re Angela Wagner's testimony later.

Jurors are on a lunch break in #GeorgeWagner's murder trial. Here's a quick recap of what George's mother, Angela Wagner, said during her second day of testimony.. When asked by Special Prosecutor Angela Canepa if "you guys" believed you were getting away.. 1/2

2/2 .. with the crime, Angela Wagner said it was "my belief .. you never get away w/ it. You live w/ it" (even if you don't end up in jail).

Angela has been largely devoid of emotion while on the witness stand and has only glanced in George's direction a few times. This morning, she was a bit overcome when talking about the deteriorating health of her dad and his subsequent passing. 1/2

2/2 She said she, George, Jake and Billy would not have moved to Alaska had she known just how bad off her dad was.

Angela describe the alibi she and her 3 co-defendants planned to use if questioned. They were supposed to say they were having a "family night to watch a movie" on the night they allegedly executed a plan to kill 8 members of the Rhoden family. 1/2

2/2 She said when OH BCI agents surprised the family and interviewed them after an initial trip to AK, Jake forgot the name of the movie, which prompted George to make fun of Jake.

Angela also said she was an "emotional wreck" when she, Billy, George & Jake were interviewed at Montana's border w/ Canada. When she was permitted to go, Angela said she waited anxiously to see her sons, saying she was.. 1/2

2/2 .. worried agents "were going to arrest George and Jake" and take away their kids (Angela and Billy's two grandkids).

Angela described feeling "devastated" when then OH Attorney General (now Gov.) MikeDeWine issued a news release in 2017 requesting info. about the Wagner family. At the time the Wagners had moved to Alaska. The #PikeCountyMassacre happened the previous year in 2016.

When the Wagners had moved back to Ohio from AK, then a brief stay in Missouri, Angela found out that BCI agents were showing what agents considered evidence to her family members. 1/2

2/2 She said she worried relatives of the Rhodens who were killed would hear about the various items, which she said could "give them reason to come and kill Jake and kill all of us.”

Angela recounted a conversation she had w/ Jake about concerns his then-wife, Beth, might be abusing the daughter Jake had w/ murder victim Hanna Rhoden. Angela said Jake told her if anyone hurt his daughter, " he would beat them.”

Angela ended the first half of today's testimony by say she still doesn't know who shot who on the night of the #PikeCountyMassacre #WLWT I'll be back in the courtroom shortly to cover more of what George Wagner's mom has to say.

If that was my grand child or my child I would've taken them straight to ER! I so agree they would've went straight over to the Rhodens and had it out if SW told her that!

After break, Angela started talking about her opinion of Jake's new wife, Beth. You recall we heard from her Oct. 21st. Angela said she didn't care for Beth. She felt Beth was trying to pressure Sophia into calling her mom.

"I suggested to Beth that she should try to be her friend," Angela recalled. "Beth is new, Sophia is younger." "I was just trying to suggest... give it time.”

Angela told jurors she discovered Beth's journal entries that were negative about her. In one entry, Beth said she could pin the murders on Angela. She said based on that and questions Beth would ask, she began to get paranoid that Beth might be a spy for BCI.

Angela said she was concerned Beth was sexually abusing Sophia at one point because Sophia said Beth had touched her, but Sophia later took it because said said she just didn't like Beth and wanted Beth to leave.

Angela said she did not remember Jake telling Beth he would beat her if she did abuse his daughter.

Idk if I can find it or not but, during this trial, I did hear that it had been discovered that there had been some "peer age" exploration suspected. Not sexual abuse. I did not see that as being CR2 or an adult. I did not hear AW's testimony, and again, am catching up, but that's all I suspected it to be. AW may have substituted CR2 during her testimony? He cannot speak for himself now. It's also been over six years. As many folks as she feared, male and female, of abuse, who knows if she can keep track of who she accused to do what. She has been well-versed I'm sure, in how to present her testimony for the prosecution. She's putting G4 right there from what I gather, so she's not lying about everything, or is she? If she's lying about one thing, would she be another? Let's take down my Mr. high and mighty son, the above the family, son, down with us.

She was devastated, she was worried, she was an emotional wreck, she was in fear for their lives from the R's vengeance...but JW just told EA he'd" beat her" ...not beat her with a barbed wired bat in the barn, bulldoze that barn and set it on fire!!?? It's still all about her isn't it. she gets emotional over her dying father but not the devastating killings her menfolk committed!? SMH

IMO I'm 100% certain that the jury is seeing right through AW's testimony.

These are families deprived of intelligence and culture. I was born into a poor family in a rural area, but I never heard that. Why is it always about child abuse? Maybe some kind of disguised pedophilia?
