I can look for the reporting on Jake's cross for you. @Cool Cats
Thanks for sending me some information on it. Enjoy your posts, glad you joined the thread.

We need a lot of MSM tweets, articles, links etc... To have any chance to know what these opt out witnesses say.

I think the co-defendant's testimony should be heard, but of course we get stuck not seeing or hearing it.

So I am glad to see posters posting whatever they can find.

people routinely live into their 90s these days. 1 day of freedom is too long honestly one more day of aw breathing is too long
But imagine her being released to nothing and nobody. I'm sure by then her mother will be gone. Her brother wants nothing to do with her, her husband and sons are locked up, she will have no assets, not home, not family, and most certainty not no grandchildren in her life. She will be locked up in her head still because everything she loved will still be gone and he will have freedom, but really no life and she will have the ability to see how everyone and everything went on without her. Maybe that is a little bit of justice right there. We can be "Free" and still not be free. We can be locked up and be more free than at any point when we were free. I think for each person it's different and for her what she valued most will be not only gone because she is locked up, but gone because they choose not to be around her. That might just be more punishment than prison is.

This afternoon, Angela put her son, George, at the scene of the crime in Chris Rhoden Sr.'s home... stepping in a puddle of blood. She told jurors that footprint they've been seeing is George's. She said he told her that himself.

After that, her son's attorneys started cross-examining her. They are working to destroy her credibility for jurors. They are pointing out her plea deal... that she took it to avoid a life prison sentence... that she isn't being honest.

Defense Attorney Richard Nash made her read a letter she wrote from jail to her mother-in-law. She said she pleaded guilty to get the deal for 30 years in prison... she didn't want to risk life. She wrote, "I am so lost." and "I have lost my family.”

She said she wrote that because she didn't understand why the deal said she was guilty of some of the charges when she didn't commit the murders. However, she said now she understands why it's like that.

As she read the letter, the Rhoden family sitting in front of me rolled their eyes and some held their hand over their faces and closed their eyes. They appeared upset. The defense attorney said, "Not once did I hear any remorse for taking the lives of eight innocent people.”

The defense said you were willing to pull your own mother into an eight person homicide case.

Defense says it's no surprise she and Jake testify against George because they have to testify to the state's satisfaction to uphold their end of the plea bargains.
I've said a few times now: George is not grasping what "conspiracy" is. Whereas, seems AW has finally accepted that.
JMO
The jurors have to grasp the definition of conspiracy to convict as that's what George is charged with.

Then his face, at first just ghostly
Turned a whiter shade of pale
Is it just me or is GWIV slouching a bit more this afternoon?

Trial coverage has ended for the day, and will continue tomorrow. Day 36.

Unless he gets on the stand and calls them both liars, I was home that night, my family are all lunatics...that kind of testimony. Din't see that happening so it will be up to the jurors to make sense out of all this family disfunction.
AJMO
At this point it's going to be guilty on all charges unless he takes the stand. I think in the case of co conspirators and not just 1 but 2 of them testifying and no concrete evidence of an alibi for that night, he will have to take the stand and be more believable or explain how/why some things point to him being involved. I think if I was on the jury, that is what I would need to hear. I know he has a right not to testify and I don't think that makes him guilty if he chose not to, but what I've heard would make me vote guilty UNLESS he got on the stand and told a version that I believed more than what has been shown. I guess the defense could put witnesses up that could change my mind as well, but since we've heard of no alibi defense so far, I don't think that is going to come up.

How old will Angela Wagner be in 30 years? About 82? Prison takes a lot of years off a person's life. She likely will die in prison. I consider her plea deal same as LWOP and I'm glad she's testifying against George in exchange for the "gift" of 30 years (life) in prison. I think her testimony is even more valuable than JW's. opinion only.

I think he's sunk. She feels great remorse of the loss of her boys and their days before girls all got involved. She tried so hard to shield them from the world and its evils. (This is just how all the takes are reading in my mind right now

That 30 day window when DR got her trailer and it all fell to heck in a handbasket, was set in motion by something more than that text.
This is all JMO but I was thinking Frankie’s baby was only 6 mos old. I believe he, Hannah Hazel & baby were crowded in with CR. Things had probably always been crowded at Dana’s & with another baby on the way they probably all wanted a better option before going head to head with Jake on custody. A new place solved every problem…or so they thought. The Wagners were already 3 months into their planning by the time DR moved. It’s all so tragic, beaks my heart.

It’s hard to comprehend all that was going on with having only the bits and pieces we can gather from the trial. I feel certain though, just from what we have learned from Mr. Manley interviews and from the trial, a potential custody hearing was imminent.

By April of 2016, the Rhodens had positioned Hannah well & were ready to do battle. The Wagners knew this (Angela was documenting everything on a calendar) and they probably felt like they had to act before it got to court. Once DR moved into trailer away from CR (& grow-op) Jake would have never won if they went to court. Documentation that Little S had been abused might have given Jake the edge - but again, they didn’t have that documentation because it simply wasn’t true. So they had to kill the R’s before it went to court.

All MOO.

WAVERLY, Ohio — The mother of a man accused of killing eight people in Pike County in 2016 will continue testifying Wednesday, but opted out of being recorded by the media, so her testimony won't be broadcast.
This story will be updated with her testimony during breaks in court.

Do you recall when Hannah and Corey were going to move into that house by his sisters? I recall her telling Jake about that and he also didn't like this. I wonder if that was also imminent?

Another thought I had was Angela saying that Billy came by a couple weeks before the murder and said tonight is the night, but they weren't moving fast enough and he got mad and left. A few weeks before the murder, Kylie wouldn't have been born yet. I thought they were waiting for Hannah to have the baby.

It's all so evil and I wish one of them would just be 100% fully honest and tell us all the details. I think some things could be forgotten over time or just misremembered, but the big stuff should not be that hard to recall. I guess all of the details still won't make any of it make sense in our minds, but I still feel we just don't have the full picture.

Would we all be the "evil ones" in AW's mind? Maybe DR was being facetious, at times, too; "yeah, we're the evil ones" Ha! Watch out for the "evil ones"! In jest at times but it was there, underlying, either being called that, or thinking someone else had no room to talk. AW's photos/daily selfies/ etc... were clearly to attract male attention. Yes, I'm being catty but one look and I thought, B**tc4. You may not have done it but we'd sure not mix well, either way. ;)
----- That felt freeing.

I wonder if JW knew The Walking Dead, is actually referencing the survivors. I was a regular watcher back then and remembered the scene b/c I was so annoyed, that I'd missed the point. When the show first aired and until the bridge blew up, (others who watched, will know), it was a pretty good show. For me, I just began noting too much "freeing" of others when things seemed okay in their new little worlds, til Rick showed up. The walker on one side and Rick on the other, of the wall, was, a defining moment. I haven't watched since the "burning of the bridge". The new term for "jumping the shark"? JW's green knife. Not a hunting knife, truly, but the knife was one that had the TWD logos.

I truly think though that JW is the most dangerous of the four, just alone from the others. Put them all together though and man what a recipe for disaster. Lots of like beliefs, I'm sure, on both in-law sides. As in; We handle this at home. What if Child Services checks up on us? We did let her go on vacation and stay at their home. We knew. What if they do take the babies? You've got that $%^# right there 100' away! A very quick home buy is made and tensions get tighter.
-------------------
It was in Episode "Them" in Feb. 2015.
Rick Grimes himself, in 2015, the episode named Them.
[there's a long pause as the storm thunders over them]

Rick Grimes: When I was a kid... I asked my grandpa once if he ever killed any Germans in the war. He wouldn't answer. He said that was grown-up stuff. So... so I asked if the Germans ever tried to kill him. But he got real quiet. He said he was dead the minute he stepped in to enemy territory. Every day he woke up and told himself, rest in peace. Now get up and go to war. And then after a few years of pretending he was dead... he made it out alive. That's the trick of it, I think. We do what we need to do and then, we get to live. But no matter what we find in DC, I know we'll be okay. Because this is how we survive. We tell ourselves... that we are the walking dead. - IMDB - TWH Wiki

Just rambling for no reason really, but it seems their case is beginning to be pulling together, against G4. I'm seeing more hope at the end of the tunnel. if G4 goes down I don't see how G3 can pull it off but he's got a good attorney. used to be a prosecutor if I remember right.

Didn't AW initially say that they did not talk about the murders afterwards, but now she says GW told her that he left a foot print? Smh

Baby’s daddy is a Giley he is the boyfriend first took Hanna May from Jake, Corey Holden was the last boyfriend HR had when she was murder! JMO
Really, how did I not know that?

Angela's whole testimony is built on the 4 of them operating as a unit and the massacre as being something they were all involved in.

She verified those were his shoeprints. He admitted it.

His shoeprints, his gun shooting Chris Sr., and all the planning, guarding, covering up. That's enough for a guilty verdict.

My recollection is that JW testified that they did not talk about the murders afterwards. Please anyone correct me if this is incorrect. IMO

Yes, for a while there he was slouched and looking pretty glum. Assume that was around the time of his mother's most damning testimony.

Ohio hasn't executed anyone since 2018, despite having quite a few on death row. There have been complaints about "botched" executions and failed executions there. The execution procedures have been called into question and there seems to be little effort to address those concerns. That has given courts and Governor reason to kick scheduled executions down the road. There are several executions scheduled for 2023, but I don't expect them to be carried out.

True, I know of one who has been on death row for 36 years!

MAJOR TESTIMONY UPDATE: Angela Wagner just said as police were closing in on her, Billy, George & Jake, that George offered to confess to his role in the 2016 #PikeCountyMassacre.

After the homicides & before she and her loved ones were arrested, Angela Wagner talked to Billy about George having nightmares. She told Billy: "I don't think that we should have involved them in the homicides" - the planning, any of it.

As has been widely reported, shoe print evidence might end up being critical to the State of Ohio's case against #GeorgeWagnerIV. Angela said George said about one print found at one of the crime scenes: "the shoe print was his."
Mic Drop.

She said they talked about it after the information about shoeprints came out. IIRC, that came out later. They may not have discussed the murders in the times after they happened, but probably did closer to the time they were arrested. Maybe not in a car or house. Remember, one of them testified they agreed to only discuss the murders if they were outside or away from vehicles, house, etc.
