Oh just wait until he sees that extreme closeup they had of him. I really wish I could hear all this better. It's like Charlie Brown's teacher, waa-wa-waaa-wa-waa I could almost make out Parker nearly shouting right now.:)
Pilcher is doing a minute by minute transcription; it helps me a bit better to read in conjunction with (poor) audio.

Parker or Nash (one of them) was whining about how they just got a few of them this morning & reviewed at lunch, missing their lunch. Bless.
They just got notified that some were going to be used this morning. They have had ALL of the recordings and transcripts for years. They could have read them all and flagged anything suspicious so if it was used in court they could raise an objection. They sound like they have no idea what evidence the state has until they show up that morning and see what is going to be presented.

They also had them transcribed LONG time ago and the defense has had them all this time as well. Now here we are...

Also why did they not do this part during the jury's 2 hour lunch? Makes no sense.. or before court started today like they did the last time? Have jury show up at 10 and they do this before that? Now they had a 2 hour lunch and another 30 minutes after that because the court couldn't do this mess during the already extended lunch? Don't get it.

I pity any juror that got into this and has trouble sitting so long.

But he missed lunch tho! ;)

The judge needs to put a stop to this nonsense!

In retrospect, a lot of shoulda, coulda, woulda about proceedings in this trial.

At this point, Judge appears tired and frustrated. Lawyers just completed an extended yelling spell.

I hope the jury is doing OK.

I hope whoever does the closing for the state reminds the jury that sexual abuse of children was A-OK with the Wagners when the victims were Hanna and Tabitha.
Was that charge dropped from JW's guilty pleas? I can't remember.

Nash reminds me of someone and I just can't place it. It's a good thing he isn't on trial because his face hides nothing. I wonder if his personality outside court is well dramatic? Maybe he has an acting background?

I see the prosecution as more confident and controlled. AC gets animated and feisty when the defense has gone too far.. but I see Nash just react to every single thing.. just really odd and in my opinion not genuine reactions, but more over dramatizations to distract from testimony??

A huge fight over this - as testy as we've ever gotten in hearings, with Parker saying "that's the flaw in your case" regarding George and his involvement. It involved George expressing concern over Jake's daughter. Judge allows it to be played as well as next one.

Watching these wiretap arguments between lawyers. Progress is slow. Judge appears annoyed and sometimes confused. jmo.

Yikes, its getting heated.

Nash and Parker have very little to work with, so they're fighting to block as much of this testimony as possible.
Would Junk then have to recuse in that scenario?

Good question. Maybe one of our attorneys will drop by to answer that question. @PrairieWind

So this is how sausage is made.

Losing my appetite.

Wilson looks like he may change into Superman and launch on the defense table. :)

Judge Deering sustained the recording where AW tells GW to lay off the caffeine because he talks too much!

Lost count of number of wiretap items they have covered so far, but seems like they should be near the end.

By voice tone and volume: AC remains feisty. Defense is wearing down and judge just wants to get this over with. moo

Such as...if I was part of the investigation team, I'd have to refer to my notes to be able to remember details of when, how, why, where, etc. Without referring to my notes, there would be no way I could answer truthfully. That's why I write things down. Documentation.
My Dad was LE and was a religious note taker on the job. He was often in the courts and testified many times. I'm sure he was allowed to review his notes before testifying, I believe that's why he took them during cases, that and to help with writing reports. This was 40 years ago so I don't know if things have changed since that era? JMO

They should have advised their client to take a deal and testify to everything his brother and dad did that night and to how his mom pulled all the strings. I honestly think he could have gotten a deal that was as good if not better than Angela's and Angela would likely not have gotten such a sweet deal, if George would have came forward at any point to say what he knew. He had so many opportunities also. The border crossing interview, when BCI was texting him wanting to talk, when BCI was at their house before the move, but instead he warned his dad and then he moved to Alaska with them.

I am unsure how I feel about George's involvement. I could go either way on if he was just along for the ride or if he's just as evil and calculating as the others. I think he was there, it's easy to see Jake as the "evil" brother, but the fact George didn't tell says to me he is loyal maybe beyond what the others are OR that he was more involved and he's seeing how the cards fall.

I want to know what Jake and Billy have on George. I suspect they have something. Jake confesses and didn't share it because he's minimizing his brothers role. He knows he is not getting out, no way he can be seen as less guilty than any of them. What if George came forward to tell first.. would he minimize his own role? Does Jake know something that could expose George? Maybe George was silent because there is something more that Jake has on him and he is hoping to be found not guilty? I dunno so much crime going on in this family.

Reminds me of Top Gun. The commander who said "I can't believe it..." You're going to Top Gun".

And Mr. Clean. Self explanatory.

I think the BCI agents have reviewed notes of what will be talked about each day so they have great testimony on direct, but then defense tries to ask things they didn't go over in order to make it seem they don't remember or are somehow discredited. There is no way an agent can recall every date, conversations, and specifics without referring to notes. I get so annoyed when the defense asks about something off the wall and then they sound so condicending when they show the witness something to refresh their memory.

YET it's perfecty fine for them to know recall every single detail and need to go over what is going to be presented that morning. They sure get upset when they don't have everything laid right out for them. Geez...

Why did they not object to these before the hearing? This is ridiculous! They know these wire taps will sink him for sure!

When was that recording?

That seems consistent with the other recordings we have heard of George.. talk talk talk. Why would momma be worried about how much ole George talks?

This trial has made me realize that maybe our courts are a little "rusty". The vast majority of cases today are settled before the trial. Most of the activity (just guessing) is arraignments, pre-trial hearings, etc. It's not that often there are full courtroom trials and major murder trials like these are pretty rare.

Prosecutors, judges and defense attorneys aren't used to doing business this way on a regular basis.
