Lord have mercy that was painful. These boys scream and yell like 2 yr old having tantrums. Don't know what any girl would ever see in them with their whiny screaming voices. I have a headache now so need to find something for that. Gosh I just can't imagine screaming for an hour, bet they had sore throats after that.
I wonder if the truck screaming was to talk over the road noise in the semi. I've never ridden in a semi before.

Oh lord no there is some noise but you would never have to scream that way. I own 2 semis and have driven for over 40 yrs I know what I'm talking about.

It's a wonder whoever was driving could keep their attention on the road.

It seemed to me that 75% of it was George.

With 4s demeanor, i wonder if he is now medicated to keep him docile. He appears emotionless most of the day doing his doodling. Then again, I havent watched a whole lot of the proceedings. Jmo

Jake tried to explain that Angela didn't really hate her but needed time to let her guard back down with Beth after his daughter's claim, which wouldn't happen overnight, he said. Beth sounded near tears as she told him that the kids didn't understand why they had to stay away from her, putting her in an awkward position when they wanted to play with her, because Angela would freak out if the kids came near her.

"So I've told you Sophie keeps trying to close me in the bedroom," said Beth. "If I would not be paying attention 100% of the time and if she was to succeed and close and lock the door for more than one minute, your mom would see that as a possible time when I could have been abusing Sophie. So I'm literally constantly on edge and constantly watching."

Jake promised her he'd speak with his mother and find a way for the couple to make things work in the long run. He encouraged Beth to speak with Angela herself and express her concerns directly, but Beth argued that would prove pointless.

"If you had a snake in your house — and she sees me as a snake — you wouldn't care one bit who the machete you swing affects the snake," she said.

She began to get angry, yelling that Jake had hidden his truck, given several belongings away and told the family to stay in hiding; Jake told her she was getting overly emotional and needed to take her hormonal medication. During her testimony, Angela told the jury she'd had a hysterectomy and took medication afterward.

"You've done enough damage," said Angela.

She then began to yell at Jake over his telling Sophia she was the girl's grandmother, not her mother; she was also angry Jake was choosing to believe Beth over Sophia, putting his daughter in further danger.

"Beth is her mommy, I'm her grandmother, Beth didn't do anything wrong, it was just Sophie," said Angela.

After Jake told his daughter this, Angela said Sophia now prefers Beth to her and told Bulvine, George's son, that Angela was her grandmother, which confused the boy.

"Now Bulvine has fifty million questions wanting to know how it is that I'm Sophie's grandmother," said Angela.

"How did I do damage, mom?" said Jake. "You are not her mother."

George calls Beth the "most jealous little girl I ever seen" before threatening to rat Jake out to BCI, because "every time I try to do something, you rat me out."

George turned his vitriolic rant toward his brother later in the conversation, accusing Jake of screwing everything up for the rest of the family.

"You're the reason we're in this mess," shouted George.

I nearly got choked on my coffee when Jake said Angie was delusional and crazy. I wanted to yell "no shyte Sherlock, what was your first clue?" LMAO

Now that being said I have never heard a family scream at each other like I heard today. I can't even imagine children who scream at their mother that way. Or a mother who screams at her children. I can't even imagine siblings who scream at each other that way. That being said it was in testimony all 4 W's were taking diet pills which are amphetamines that meth is made from. Could account for some of the screaming and paranoia.

I think George sounds stressed out and scared he is going to lose his son. He is taking that stress out on Jake who he sees as the cause of it all. He blames him and rightfully so. It is jake's fault that BCI is looking at the family for 8 murders, as Jake confessed to BCI he did it.

George should have went to BCI the minute he found out and made a deal to tell everything in exchange for immunity. He could have testified against all three and still had his son and not spent one day in jail.

But I think because of how he grew up that he could not be disloyal to family. After all the prior bad acts described that happened when he was a child you know he was taught to never tell on family, never trust outsiders and never trust LE. And he was home schooled to make sure he didn't let something slip to teachers or other kids. I can see Angie and Billy drumming that into his brain every day.

Angie and Billy learned this at their parents knee. Angie's dad was a drug dealer, Billy's parents were involved in some very shady doings. Fred and Rita bears a lot of responsibility in this. The judge mentioned that Chris N was stealing catalytic converters "scrapping" I think Chris said. Three generations of criminals taught to never trust outsiders, never talk to outsiders, never trust LE. I wonder if Billy and Angie were home schooled also?

Also I think that is pretty common in that region. Family sticks together through thick and thin. Angie and Billy just took it way further than other families in the area.

So much yelling on those tapes between the three of them. But you have to consider this was in 2018 when they were feeling the pressure from BCI. They were stressed out to the max and trusted no one. I think George and Angie was scared to death and frustrated with Jake who seemed not to be bothered at all. Jake even brought in an outsider to live with them as if it was no big deal. Like the pastor said "Jake was a carefree, happy go lucky guy in AK". That is because Jake is a true narcissist and does not think he did anything wrong by killing his ex and her family. In his mind he had decided they had to die and that was it, No remorse, no sorrow, no regrets. Jake is a cold bloodied killer who smiled, laughed and smirked all during the time he was sitting in front of the victims loved ones coldly telling how he killed them, repositioned their bodies, shot them x times in the head, ect. Then smiled at them and mouthed I'm sorry. That took a person who's heart is truly nothing but ice inside.

I think Angie is a narcissist but had enough sense to know the BCI was closing in and was worried about the GK's.

George was just scared shyteless. Period.

Billy ran back to momma Fred.

Like I said I think it sank in on George at the MT border when BCI showed him all the evidence and he knew those shell casings were from Jake's gun. Plus the picture of Angie buying the shoes. That is where he went ape shyte and started yelling. That is when he knew his life would never be the same. That was also his best opportunity to tell everything in exchange for immunity and get him and his son out alive. I truly believe that if he had told what he knew in MT and JW and AW found out they would have put a bullet in his brain while he was asleep. I think he knew it too. That's why he wanted to take his son and move in with a woman named Josie.

@RAISINISBACK - This is your post I brought over, I was just in the middle of answering it when we changed over to this new thread.

But the judge gave a no contact order between co defendants and it was brought up in court fairly early that they were caught. But for some reason BCI and Canepa never mentioned whether they listened to the calls or what the content of them were. So why don't they play the recordings of the calls for the jury?

My answer to your post:

It doesn't look like you saw this so this is the only reason I'm posting this. I had posted this and the video it comes from in the Timeline. It's at the end of Rita's Revocation Hearing Part One. It is one hour and 16 minutes into the video.

CANEPA TALKING ABOUT RITA'S AND ANGELA'S PHONE CALLS

November 20 - January 20 the phone calls between Rita and Angela are all about how they can't talk to each other.

First call November 20:

Randa Hughes is Chris Newcome's girlfriend/fiance and she answers Angela's phone call which was made to Angela's grandmother. All through Rita's year long house arrest Rita lived with her mom and took care of her. Rita's son fed Rita's animals and took care of Rita's home the whole time. Angela asks Randa if "Rita is home." Angela says she " wants to talk to Rita and tell her hi real quick" but Randa says that "Rita is not allowed to talk to her."

Randa then hands the phone over to Granny Beesler (Rita's mom) Rita shouts in the background "we are trying to get her to talk!" Angela says " absolutely not! Do not talk to Granny Beesler! "
(I have no idea why she said this, must be in regards to something that happened previously? Or Angela is mad that Randa won't put Rita on the phone?)

November 28:

Rita hands phone off to Granny and Granny asks Angela if she wants to talk to Rita, Angela says "no I'm not allowed, we can't talk about the case. "

December 8:

Chris puts on the speaker phone and allows Angela and Jake to have a conversation.

December 28:

Angela says "the only people I'm not allowed to talk to is Billy, George, Jake, Rita and Freddie."

January 10:

Rita gets back from her pre-trial and Angie calls and Rita tells her that "in Court today she was told she couldn't talk to anybody"

January 18:

Granny and Angela are on the phone together and Granny tells Angela that Rita wants to get on the phone with her and tell her she loves her. Angela says "she's not allowed to do that."
Angela then asks granny how "Billy is doing" and says "she knows she can't pass messages to him and Jake and George but they can't begrudge her wanting to know how everyone's doing."
Angela tells Granny that Rita "sent her a letter" and that "she knows they aren't allowed to write each other or talk about the case. "

January 19:

Angela says "she received a written Court Summary telling her she's not allowed to talk to them. "

June - July
There are 11 phone calls where they start talking more:

Angie and Rita use/take advantage of Granny by putting her in the middle, now every time Angela calls she asks Granny to put Rita on the phone or Rita tells Granny to give her the phone.

June or July
Rita says "I know I'm not suppose to talk about this on here but," she then asks " where are the Custody Documents located? " Angela answers Rita that "there is a plastic tub with the words important stuff written on it and inside are the Custody Documents. "

Angela talks about the "date at the bottom of the document--April 2016--that this is when the documents were printed out" and she says she "copied it over and there are things her attorney is looking for." Rita tells her attorney about the tub of Custody Documents and her attorney wants them and files a Discovery Motion and brings up this subject in Court.

June or July:
Angie discusses "case strategy, what to say in court and what not to say." And she discusses with Rita "whether or not they should testify at their trials. "

June or July:
Angela tells Rita she does not have to testify against them. Does not want her to testify against them.

June or July:
Rita and Angela discuss the Case and Angela gives Rita certain "buzz words to use if Rita takes the stand to testify."Angela says "she thinks that will work to explain the Custody Documents."
Rita says she "hopes she doesn't go to jail, that she needs to get off the phone, she doesn't want to get into trouble for talking."

June or July:
Angela tells Rita she does not have to testify against them.

June or July:
Angela says "let me tell you what my attorney said, I'm probably not suppose to say this on here but here's what he said to me." Angela goes on to tell Rita the "theories her attorney has for the case that her attorney can use in her trial. "

Here are some of the dates of phone calls listed in Rita's Discovery:

June 11, 14, 17, 22, 27
July 1, 2, 3, 4, 10, 13, 21
I would like to hear the one between Jake and Angie after he confessed and gave a proffer.

He may have calmed down somewhat getting away from the looney bin. IMO You have 4 people in a family trying to talk over one another, it's bound to get LOUD.

Just me, but I'll be glad when this is over and the Jury has spoken. Whew... long ride for sure.

It cannot end fast enough. I've wasted too much of my time following.

It's been bothering me about JW and the guns, etc. in the buckets of cement that he lead LE to as part of his plea/proffer... What was the purpose of keeping these guns, etc!? There are IMO, hundreds of places where these items could have been put where they would never have been found AND wouldn't have been on a family member's property. So, my thought is, in the back of JW's mind in preparing, carrying out, and cover up of these murders, was JW thinking, if we are charged with these murders, I may have to rat/snitch out the others, so I may need some substantial evidence to keep in my possession/have access to JUST in case I need it down the road and what better than the weapons used to commit the murders?!

Which yes, we've been told it was BW that came up with the goose box idea, which IMO was also a stupid choice, mainly being due to it being placed on private, family member owned property. Also, the weapons in the cement buckets were then useless/beyond repair and of no value money wise.

Maybe I'm giving JW too much credit to want to still have potential access to the weapons used in the murders within his reach just IN CASE he needed them for a plea/proffer eventually. I'm not a criminal and would never commit a crime of this sort, but if I ever did, I can think of numerous places I would've put these weapons - places they would never be found.

JMO

ETA, I guess any of them that knew where the weapons were could've told in order to get a deal. Maybe they all (in their own minds) felt it would be good to have them in a place that was accessible to them, or to LE if a plea/proffer may be needed down the road. If it was me, again, my main priority at that time would've been to put them somewhere I or anyone else would never have access to them. JMO

BBM
My thoughts exactly. They were long haul truck drivers. Jake could have scattered those pieces all over the lower 48 states just by throwing them out into weeds beside the highways. That would have made way more sense than dumping them in Gramps pond and LE would not have a snowballs chance in Hades of ever finding them.

But then I think, if he did that George would have seen him and knew who killed the R's much sooner. This is one of the biggest reasons I think george did not know until much later.

After Listening to George on the wiretaps today, I have to say I do not feel safe in society with George walking free. I hope he gets convicted and sentenced for the rest of his life if not the death penalty. I now believe George was the main instigator of murdering these people. Yes, Billy came up with the idea and Angela/Jake bought most of the supplies, but what I heard today was someone with serious mental issues, serious anger issues. Just Wow! Remember before the murders Tabbi was afraid for her life to the point she left her child behind. I absolutely believe 100% Tabbi's life was in danger. I believe Beth's life was also in danger. I think they were plotting something against Beth and Beth's intuition told her to Flee anyway she could. That dude is an absolute wack job and the State was correct in bringing charges against him.
Tabbi was not afraid of George. She was afraid of Angie. It's in her testimony. If she had been afraid of George why did she climb in the car with him three days later and let him drive her to pay her fine she got? Doesn't sound like she was afraid of him at all. In fact she had very little that was bad to say about George and testified that if they had just let her go outside and calm down for five minutes she believed her and George would still be married to this day.

I find it interesting that AW told Jake that if Beth was actually SA'd She would have gone to the police. When Jake told her she didn't have money she said well it doesn't matter should have gone and reported it immediately, Since she didn't must not have mattered that much to her. Is this the pot calling the kettle black?

I talked to hubby. If SW is in foster care and not with relatives I could bring her here. Adopt her which would make her a member of my tribe. Lords knows I have more than enough room, several rooms in fact she can have for her own. Immerse her in my culture, but yet make sure she knows her own. Make sure she is protected and gets therapy to deal with what she has been through, make sure she knows her family by either bringing them here or sending her there with someone in my family for visits. I can afford to send her to college, any college she wants to go to for however many years she wants to go and make sure she has a great foundation in life. I know I am in bad health but hubby is not and would have a lot of help within our family to care for her. She would be safe and secure here and I could put her in classes to learn our language and traditions. Classes to learn the Appalachian traditions also. I know i am not maternal, and have stated i am finished with raising kids, but the reason I don't keep my GKs are their parents are more than capable of caring for them. They don't need my help or input. Most of all she would have love, not just from me and hubby and my immediate family but my extended family and my tribe. It doesn't matter if she has any of our blood, if adopted she would be accepted, loved, taught, helped and protected like any other child in my tribe.

Thoughts anyone? Should I talk with my son and GKs?

I agree. It wasn’t the truck or road noise, it’s how they communicated in that family.

Every time I hear them yelling, I think of one of the texts between Hanna and Jake where she said she didn’t want little S around (or growing up?) with all that yelling. Beth mentioned it in her testimony. It was a household simmering with jealousy, hate & anger with someone always stirring the pot. The very core of that family was rooted in dark secrets, lying, theft, arson and finally murder. They took what they wanted and to heck with everyone else. How do you sustain a lifestyle like that? The answer is you can’t.
