GW4 is abusive as heck to his own family. I'm beginning to suspect there was physical abuse towards family members. I'm beginning to think he was the one who killed Kenneth.

For some reason, Jake is covering for him, trying to distance him some from the killing. That may be habit from a lifetime of trying to avoid incurring GW4's wrath.

New thread for afternoon of Wagner murder trial in Pike Co - we're hearing last of the wiretap recordings then prosecution will rest its case. No court Friday and no jury Monday.

On Monday, prosecution will introduce exhibits/evidence and the judge will rule whether it is enough to continue or whether he should acquit for lack of evidence under Rule 29.

Now we're back to wiretaps. Judge issues instruction transcripts are listening aids and not evidence - won't be allowed in jury room during deliberations. Bailiff is handing them out for each recording and then taking them back.

BCI agent Julia Eveslage back on the stand. We have another 12-13 recordings to get through.

Next one is from bugs inside the truck - George and Jake. Hard to hear this one. "You are always wrong ... you screwed up" George yells at Jake.

At one point George yells "You destroyed us" to Jake.

But I can't tell context on this ... don't know if they are just talking about him bringing Beth to Ohio from Alaska. Says Jake was the one who wanted to get married "It was you"

Next tape dated July 13, 2018 between Angela and Rita discussing legal representation. This was four months before November 13, 2018 arrests.

They're playing the recordings on a speaker in the court room, which has poor acoustics. It's a high-ceiling room, lots of echo.

Canepa said she would let the defense start presenting their Case even if the prosecution wasn't done with their recordings. So for some reason they all agreed to do it this way.

I've never heard of that happening before!? How can the defense start if the prosecution hasn't rest their case? That sounds VERY unorthodox and I worry if the further evidence presented by the prosecution could cause a good case for appeal? I'm very surprised the judge allowed this set up. The prosecution is allowed rebuttal but this situation is different to that. AJMO

Jury will come back on Tuesday for defense to resume its case. They're doing something else on Monday, w/o jury.
