Pike County Massacre Trial - OH v. George Wagner IV - Day 43 continues
Time management is not a skill that Deering seems to have acquired.Lawyers and Judge are over 2 hours into this session and they have only reached "photo of bucket on five dollar bill". We know there is a mountain of evidence yet to be ruled on.
Jury is due to report at noon, 1 hour from now.
Keep in mind that they need to believe beyond "reasonable" doubt, not beyond all doubt. What kind of person does that? A monster who should be put down for the safety of society, IMO. However, if prosecution doesn’t convince the jury that GW4 di the things you mentioned beyond a reasonable doubt, then he will walk.
Relying on two confessed felons, who had a motivation to lie and seem to at least bend the truth about other things during testimony, to convince the jury that GW4 is guiltily is going to be a tough sale. Yet without their testimony, I didn’t see much evidence of his guilt, except his association with his crime family. An association that never stretched to include murder before. I personally have a hard time believing known liars.
I admit, I didn't follow Casey Anthony as closely, OJ, the first case televised, of its kind, (at least around here), I followed as much as that era would allow. As much as I believe the two were guilty, Jurors: Casey Anthony's case lacked hard evidence and to some extent, an instant dislike for the prosecution's arrogance and coldness. When they first took a vote, it was 10-2 to acquit her. As far as OJ? Jurors: The glove didn't fit. (I'm not so sure that it didn't...) Contamination of evidence was too possible, the droning on of his abuse of his wife, played no role in their decision either. I wasn't at those two trials either so, as far as the jury and judge, they are not guilty, and the law accepts that. Hard pill to swallow sometimes.I believe those two cases were miscarriages of justice. AJMO
Do you think GWIV will take the stand? My logical mind is saying no way but his lawyers said he was not there, he was home. That makes me think he might take the stand...a slim chance but a chance.
Trial has been off the rails since day one. my opinion.Time management is not a skill that Deering seems to have acquired.
This trial is another hot mess like the Anthony case and OJ case. my opinionI admit, I didn't follow Casey Anthony as closely, OJ, the first case televised, of its kind, (at least around here), I followed as much as that era would allow. I do not think that G4 will take the stand. I'd say his lawyers have advised him not to do so. He can though, it is his legal right. I hope that he does. We'll never hear it though.
BIBM I do like him a lot. The beard of knowledge.Ballistics said Frankie, Hazel, Dana, Hannah and Chris jr were all shot with the same gun. Chris sr, Gary and Kenny were all shot with the same gun. Chris was shot in the arm with the SKS. That is the only iron clad facts in this case.
Jake claims he killed 5 and shot another. That matches up with ballistics. Jake said Billy killed three. That matches up with ballistics.
Those are the only solid, iron clad facts in this case, presented by Matt White, your favorite BCI guy.
