If they had just killed Hannah, it would have been even more obvious who did it. She wasn’t old enough to have a large pool of enemies.
No not close. It was at a community event. An annual celebration. Everyone goes. Everyone knows everyone. And that’s all I’m going to share. I’m not putting myself or my family in any position. There are app 11,000 people in Kenai, Soldotna and in the unincorporated areas in the immediate vicinity. My guess is about 1,800 square miles. The driving distance to Anchorage from the furthes point is 200 miles through the mountains. The road has been improved from a treacherous narrow 2lane to about 33% being 3-4 lane now over 25 years.
Several nice size community celebrations are held every year.
The Peninsula Fair
Fun in the Sun
Fourth of July
Kenai River Days
Soldotna Progress Days
Christmas in Kenai
Halloween at the Elks
Industry Appreciation Days
Annual Blessing of the Commercial Fishing Fleet.
People from all walks of life attend. Some events have vendors. Industry Apprecistion Day is free with good food and many prizes and awards are given mostly to local industry. Groups and organizations have booths with information, prizes and people soliciting others to consider signing on with the groups they might have interests.
The last news indicated it was being investigated to see if it was a murder. They were being vague.
That is another very strange investigation in that area. Why would it be so difficult to determine that. I wonder if they gave the guy who was present a polygraph test. Why were those two out in a woods?

So, you know militia too. The Ws could have attended and just been mixing with the crowd like you? For people with laser focus on them, it would be difficult for them to assimilate with militia. Militia are not typically trusting and welcoming of strangers, and would not want the publicity. If they were with militia, the press would dig that out in a heartbeat and the militia would be denouncing them. I guess we'll see what comes out in trial, but I seriously doubt that bunch was welcomed by militia when they got there.
If one thinks he can proclaim innocence of an actual killing, he may go for it. Or Big Daddy might want to take the rap for all of them. With no ability to communicate their hands are literally tied as far as what to do or whom should do what.
Jake goes back to court, iirc, twice before Xmas. Maybe, just maybe, his attorney is at least trying to expedite his case. Maybe the legal teams think it wise to try the boys first, pass the buck off on mom & dad. Idk how much the legal teams discuss strategy between them. I’m guessing some, as long as client privilege is not violated,.
Also, I hope, should any “deals” be extended, the R family has input.
I so agree. I am from the area, however, I only know any of these families from seeing some of them around BBL or out and about shopping.
One thing that I see being repeated here is posters theories as to why so many lives were taken. Most feel that it is due to retaliation if some were left alive, but I see it differently. There were plenty left alive to retaliate including a couple of bad boys worse than any of the ones whose lives were taken.. MOO
He attended FW's (his mother's) he is sitting with RW and another person. A big guy wearing a poncho looking thing. It's the only hearing he has attended.

Jmo I don’t think they could have arrested W right after murders. No. 2 no arrests soon. That's ok if people don't want to reveal any big secrets or earth-shaking information. I think most here understand why they'd want to avoid that. Just having general background information is helpful enough.
It would be interesting to hear, though, about a couple of things:
1. What do locals think about the amount of time it took LE to arrest the W family? Could they have arrested them sooner, preferably before they got custody of S and took her to AK?
2. What do they think about the murder of Violet Rhoden Taylor last summer? Will there be an arrest anytime soon? Was her death related to the murders of her cousins?
As info, we have a thread here for Violet:
Oh - Violet Rhoden Taylor, 35, found shot, Pike County, 11 June 2018
Od so common in the area jmoWell, I was thinking more all of the lines of an accident. Maybe her car forced off the road, an OD, something more subtle than bullets to the brain as she slept.
Try FW's arraignment. Dude in yellow w/goatee @14:45
I'm sorry, RAW does have at least one child.
Then again, folks go missing in these mountains all the time. They find HMR's vehicle near a body of water and she's fallen in, or near a trail head and she's found at the bottom of ravine. People die in the Gorge down here every year, or have to be rescued. I just think there's more to this.
Hi Trudie, sorry for the "late" info on your post. ProsecutorJ made sure he mentioned the "false notarized documents" were NOT part of a loan/escrow...ie a relatively small financial crime. Think along the lines...my husband can't make it to an escrow office in time to close escrow and the notary speaks to him on the phone and he implores, "Please, I have to close this escrow because this is the last day of the month!" And, the notary agrees....not good business practice.I think the charges against the grannies are BS, scare tactics, nothing savvy legal teams can’t reduce to almost nothing.
As far as FW, her charges could be an effort to confirm the informant’s info.
I'm not yet convinced she was out in the woods while still alive or, if she was, she went there willingly.
Yes, Violet Taylor's mysterious death and the inactive investigation into it is another reminder that things are still "business as usual" in Pike County.
Some speculation from me:
Was her killer somehow linked to the Wags family through "business" connections?
Is her killer an informant for LE or "untouchable" in some other way that caused the case to go cold?
Again, this harks back to the disturbing LE practices in the area revealed in the "Forgotten Women of Ohio" documentary. Regardless of arresting the W family for killing the Rhodens and HHG, there's still something really wrong in that area.

You are forgetting that they are allowed visitors. I suspect that RW has been to see each of them probably on a weekly basis and can pass along any messages between them. Granted everything they say is recorded and DeWine is probably listening to every word they utter, but IMO they can develop a system to pass on messages to each other. I would say they also have phone calls. So I am betting they have all talked to FW and RN.

Well. I can respond by saying I do not and never would volunteer to man the booth for them or attend the same house of worship.
Two articles and there are plenty more.

Maybe we should be checking the jail rosters daily at each respective facility the W's are housed in for any of these relatives to show up. Just saying...if they are bad boys.
