Same here. Not to sound paranoid, but we live in a very different world today. Information gathered about you, from the products you buy to where you travel, can be and are used against you by your mortgage lender, employer, bank, credit card company, and all the insurance companies you do business with, etc. There are some real horror stories out there.

Lenders even check any health records they can get these days. Nothing is sacred and anyone can get access if wanted bad enough.
I mentioned on Facebook that a doctor had erroneously listed a medical condition. The next day I had an e-mail from WebMD with a link to info about that condition.

I think this is all Fred's doing. She knows where all the bodies are buried. Literally. I also think we can expect something similar regarding Rob Junk.

But one thing that is going to throw a monkey wrench in the works is the fact that the BCI did the largest part of the investigation and there is a special prosecutor from the AG's office involved in prosecuting the case.

Maybe that is why the grimaces from the prosecutors when her attorney made that remark about her being more innocent than those sitting at the prosecutors table. IMO Junk and the AG's prosecutor expected this to come out.

JMO

I agree, but FW may not be the only one with the knowledge and connections. JMO, many of the defense attorneys are from the general area and probably know a lot from local law gossip and from the defendants they represent in court. These guys have their own careers on the line and some may be working as aggressively as they can to defend the W's.

That said, FW is likely a very powerful person, too, more than most realize. She probably has a LOT of powerful connections, JMO that's one reason why it took so long for LE to pursue the W family.

ETA: Re the many investigators involved, it's a pretty long list. They're listed in this article from last month:

How big was the Pike County murders investigation?

There is just something about the "revenge against LE" meeting at FW's that does not make sense.
Clearly FW must have had something VERY big at stake to host such a meeting, and I think it was bigger than the potential charge of lying to a grand jury. I think she might have had some maternal instinct to try to save her own blood from going to prison (she would not have known DP was even on the table then) but would have stopped short of risking going to prison herself.
Does not make sense to me that RW or RAW would even be at that meeting, why get involved in a murder plot against LE? They seem to be intelligent enough not to risk going to prison themselves if the revenge plot was carried out.
At the meeting might the 4 & FW have been trying to hire some unsavory type to do their dirty work for them. You know, someone that already had a record and could be discredited in court if he tried to imply the W family had anything to do with LE murders? Sounds like there are many people out there with motive to seek revenge on LE. Maybe the meeting was held at FW's house as she was funding it?
JMO
PS - and the unsavory type was wearing a wire in exchange for getting out of some of his own legal problems.

I think it could be a real possibility that Fred knew they were closing in on the 4W's and tried to hire someone to take out LE. Instead that someone went to LE and ratted her out.

Good theory.

I would think that would be the time to quit. You do know that casinos are not built on winners right?

They aren't there to give money away. They're there to take your money...

Same here. Tape on camera on phone. Location- off. No apps. Standard iphone no add ons. I have settings to only get calls from my contacts.

Never would I have a l e x a / e c h o.

I have no doubt that government agencies have the ability to spy on me in a number of different ways.

But my question is why would they want to? Why would a government agency that is overworked and understaffed pick me out of millions and millions of people to spy on?

They can watch me until the cows come home if they have nothing better to do but I am not going to give up my smart phone or anything else on the off chance they will.

Very possible. I have the impression from reading about AW's latest motion that the W's know who talked or they at least have a list of possible people who they think ratted them out. All the more reason they shouldn't allow FW any kind of freedom while she's out of jail. It would be very easy for her to influence or intimidate anyone she thinks is a potential witness against the family. All it takes are a few conversations, some phone calls on a "burner" phone, etc. I also suspect there may be other "unindicted co-sonspirators" out there who would be very happy to help her go after possible witnesses in exchange for $$ or other favors. These people could be out in the community, hunting down witnesses, stirring up trouble with no one in LE to track them or monitor their activities and communications.

I hope LE has FW under close 24 hr surveillance, more than an ankle bracelet, but I'm skeptical.

I don’t yell ever.

The caps are for emphasis.

I run by the old rules. I didn’t even think.

In my day which was the 80s 90s and 2000s before all this started yelling is what I did with kids or to get horses in for the night. Then the computer hijacked the word and now it’s when one capitalizes.

I’m so sorry. It’s my age. Yelling is something I do out the back door. And not anymore.

I am old school. All caps is considered shouting/yelling, in the tech world. I've been in the tech field for many, many, years. Use them all you want to though.

WRITING ENTIRELY IN BLOCK CAPITALS IS SHOUTING, and it's rude. We've all done it: left the Caps Lock on while typing. But in email etiquette, online chats and/or forum posts, writing in capitals is the online equivalent of shouting. It's rude, so best not to do it unless you really do want to shout at someone.

Good theory. I've considered something similar since reading the indictments. The W family had many other acquaintances in the area who might help them in such an endeavor. Possibly a former tenant, someone who worked on their farm, etc. They had a lot of connections in the community.

I have a person in mind, Mittens might remember the fella. Idk if they'd consider this person inner-circle, but he seemed friendly with them.

Mitten do you have a link to the motions?
I don’t. I can only find reference to them in articles. o_O I’m gonna keep trying to find them though.

Yes! He manages FW’s church. There’s photos of him with a couple of the W boys/men in hunting gear inside the Peterson road home.

In fact...haha...I have this link right here with FW conducting church service or something in the church. This link can be found when searching the church on Bethel road, owned by FW. Lots of interesting photos.

ETA-i dont know why it links with “report inappropriate image”. Weird. But if you swipe, you’ll find lots of images of inside the church and his caretaking.

Was her house ever searched? If so, something could have been left behind to listen in. Even if they were just there to talk to her, they could have asked for a glass of water or something and hid a bug while she was out of the room. LE may have even had someone pose as a customer to get in her house to plant a bug. They have ways to get things done. If she has Alexa, they may have hacked that. There are many ways they could have gotten a listening device installed. It almost has to be recorded information or it would be called hearsay in court.

Unless the person wore a wire. Wearing a wire is so much easier these days. If they have a warrant to search her house, then they would have to have a warrant to plant the devices or else anything gleaned from them would be thrown out. I've a feeling FW's customer's didn't get into the insides of her home. I take her as a very private individual.

I'm leaning toward human, but if it is a bug, I'd love to know how they got them into her home. It's not like they can screw it onto a vehicle when no one is looking. Her property has gates, too, iirc. When would they do it? There's probably staff or family there constantly. Either way, it was voiced, and heard, at FW's house, right there on Flying W.

So agree with you. If there’s a bug, it would entail someone on the inside placing it. And that person, IMO, would need to be a fam member.

I knew you'd have that handy!! ;) Thanks Mittens!

I cannot see it would have anything to do with the murder investigation unless some of the money Reader is accused of taking was money confiscated from the trailers that were towed and placed in evidence. These murders did not take place in a casino or have anything to do with gambling as far as we know.

The defense might try to cast doubt on Readers character but it isn't going to derail the trial since the BCI had a large part in investigating this crime.

JMO
Speaking of money that may have been confiscated from the trailers, what happens to that (if there was any)? Would it become part of the estates after the trials or does it just remain a part of evidence?
