A lot of those look to be standard motions, but the one about the inadmissibility of prior testimony from a witness is interesting.

Yeah, it does jump out.
I don’t believe AW had any input, the law clerks more than likely prepared the motions for the attorney. A DP qualified atty has a swat team of staff at his disposal to wade thru discovery.

(Off topic, sadly, actress Penny Marshall has died)

Confiscated if gotten through illegal means...
I don’t recall seeing a bank account listed for CR1 on his estate filings. Unless CR1 kept a log book of illegal transactions, I’m not sure how the state could prove money was obtained illegally. There would have to be strong evidence. And I wonder if the estates could argue that CR1 didn’t keep a bank account and simply stock piled all his cash received from paychecks from employers. Who knows. Another interesting angle to look at though.

Mitigating circumstances could be anything. For example “the defendant is a wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and niece. The defense asks the jurors to consider the impact the death penalty will have on the defendent and her loved ones”. OR, “the defense ask the jurors to consider the defendants religious beliefs and in doing so, the defense offers that the defendant being sentenced to death goes against her deep religious beliefs”. There’s A LOT of things that can be mitigating factors when pleading against the death penalty sentence to a jury. JMO.

Oh yeah, all good deeds (if any) shall be recognized during mitigation.
In the Court TV days, I recall mitigating factors as trite as the convicted could mentor other convicts, in prison. And, we already know “family” will be a huge mitigation factor.

Not criticizing, (and my comments are not related to the photographer at all).

But does anyone else get the impression the photos look "off", a bit staged perhaps?

I see a very large structure but never more than a handful of "congregants" (from the group home?) Wouldn't there be more congregants in the pews on "picture day"? Could it have been just be an "illusion" for the tax break (503c)? JMO
I think there’s a lot of illusions surrounding FW, her businesses and family. That’s JMO though. Also, considering churches are tax exempt combined with being a follower of a radical religion, it may just be what we all think it is. Or at least speaking for myself, I think the church is a bunch of BS. A tax write off along with a place to gather their small cult like following. Those are only opinions though, not facts.

Yes! He manages FW’s church. There’s photos of him with a couple of the W boys/men in hunting gear inside the Peterson road home.

In fact...haha...I have this link right here with FW conducting church service or something in the church. This link can be found when searching the church on Bethel road, owned by FW. Lots of interesting photos.

Google Maps: Report Inappropriate Image

ETA-i dont know why it links with “report inappropriate image”. Weird. But if you swipe, you’ll find lots of images of inside the church and his caretaking.

Thanks, I haven't looked at those in a while. Probably last summer. FW and her ancillary businesses / church/nursing home, real estate biz have been on my radar since before the lesser W's moved to AK.

I still have a theory that FW and hubs had, or allowed others to have, grow ops on their property for years. Probably not anytime recently, but back sometime in the 70's-90's. Back in the days before people moved the grow ops indoors because of Fed flyovers. Dealers were even doing that around (not on) my grandparent's farm (Ozarks) back in the late 1970's. There are likely a lot of people in the area who worked for the W's in this capacity in years past. Maybe some who owed them favors. Also willing to bet there are still some locals who might remember these past activities.

I’m just gonna add to this but I wonder if it’s possible that some of the people who were aware of these activities are among the 8 that were murdered?

Do we know if any R’s attended FW church?

Speaking of money that may have been confiscated from the trailers, what happens to that (if there was any)? Would it become part of the estates after the trials or does it just remain a part of evidence?

If it were at the locations where grows were found, then it would be per Ohio's drug laws, and probably kept in the drug $ fund (the one that is being investigated).

Oh, yeah. JMO, CR1 and KR probably knew. Those guys lived there all their lives, they likely knew who was growing over the years. They may have worked for her or had been customers.

Great point.

All I've ever seen in news reports is that some of them attended the Union Hill Church, not FW's. I do wonder if HMR attended that church when she was spending a lot of time with JW and his family. Not sure, though, as the news interviews with their pastor indicated they used to attend his church before it moved to AK.

I don't want to sleuth innocent people, but it seems FW may have had her own individual congregation at her church.
