There's prison in our state that allows the inmates to train rescue dogs. It seems like a really good program (for both participants).

My brother loves training the dogs. He trains therapy dogs too.

Tough to tell. Today may have been a turning point for her with the banned communications. Was she the one who got this ball rolling? Was it G3 and she stood by her man? If it was the former, then I'd say that yes, she could stand up to them. If it's the latter, then she may not be up to standing on her own. She's been with him for almost three decades. Has she been an enabler this whole time?

Good points. I still see an offspring being first in line to declare lesser involvement & providing a wealth of info to the DA. IMO, the DA always needs info, they love to have a “talker”, & JW seems to adore attention. Once the first one talks, I think it’ll be a domino effect.

I used to watch Lock Up Raw. I cried each time they aired a doggie graduation & the men had to say good-bye.
Watching the men in their cells with a dog made me realize how fortunate both were.

They seem less aloof, for sure. Plus, they enjoyed emailing the newspaper. I think JW. He might think his mom will be proud of him. His attorney might even suggest “your mom wants you to live”, in effort to help him with his decision making.

If they did a plea, for 25 years, with 80% served, that's 20 years. JW is 27. It appears that in the indictments, that they do not know who did what, where, and when. The only thing that I see with certainty is that they have the silencer, and they know that JW had sex with HMR six weeks before she turned 16 (b/c S exists). With a plea, he could give them everything, and potentially be out by around age 50 give or take a couple. He could live in a penitentiary (those conditions are probably looking better all the time). He could obtain an education, work, have privileges in his cell, go outdoors, eat gourmet dog food, etc... Twenty years is a very long time but it's better than LWOP or Death.

Good night Trudie. Thank you. I really believe the "no communication via 3rd party" put a really big damper on AW's finagling and pathways to getting messages to her co-defendants. It is not the court's problem or society's problem that her co-conspirators just happen to be her sons, husband, mother and mother-in-law. She used her "support system" in the commission of a crime...so that kind of rules out a "support system" while in jail. Go figure? Reminds me of the juvenile who kills his parents and then expects pity because he is now an orphan. Go figure? I wrote down what Robert Krapenc (the Silver Fox) said after the prosecution request. He quickly stands and says, "No objection. We have instructed our client from day one to have no contact directly or indirectly with co-defendants." They didn't even try to make an excuse for AW. (I think I can translate that into plain English: So your honor, for the record, she doesn't listen to us, either!)

I only wish it could be in more facilities. I think maybe some of my friends, who are, and/or have been, incarcerated, could benefit from a program like this, or something similar. There are so many facets to the dog training program that can be transferred to life on the outside.

The drawback is having to give up their dogs. I'd want to be in the program, if I were incarcerated, but man it would be painful to part with that pupper every time! Then again, you'd get to give another rescue pup a chance.

They had a teli in each unit, tablets for email, a kiosk for ordering commissary, and a computer in the day room, so they could research their cases online. They're wired for sound! The part that showcased the sleeping quarters almost caused my claustrophobia to kick in.

Thanks for finding the site! It looks like a very new building, very professional. Actual cells are not very fancy, small.

They have a television and computer tablet (small, mounted to the wall) and pay phones in each cell block. Inmates can use them if they're not on lockdown or have sanctions against them. Tablets are used to send text messages and family members can send them photos. Recreation area has some desktop computers.

There were 2 fights that very well could have been between Chris and Billy but we don't know for sure. Jake told a reporter that he did not kick in H R's door so something was going on. (I will try to find it).

As to the 2 fights:
DeWine said "investigators have reconstructed every aspect of the victim's lives."

In the same article Sheriff Reader says "Some of the family was involved in 2 fights not reported to police before the murders. "

I wonder if those two fights were CRsr and GWIII, or when they ran off the kids and when the guy's false teeth got broken. Was there a total of four fights or just two? As always, so many possibilities in this case.

Good question. At the very beginning, AG DeWine decided that Pike County would be the home jurisdiction for this case, with assistance from other counties. IANAL, but it probably has no effect on the charges. There's a good possibility the cases will be tried in other jurisdictions, the judge will probably rule on that by the end of this month, according to his remarks at AW's hearing yesterday.
