So far, there's nothing coming out of the investigation into PCSO that is in any way connected to the Rhoden murders or the W family. There's no link.

Anyone who follows the case closely and reviews the documents out there will see that the investigation has been run by BCI and the office of the Ohio AG, with some assistance from the FBI, ATF and other fed agencies. The autopsies were conducted in Hamilton County. Interrogation of the suspects, searching of the W properties and interviews with suspects and witnesses were conducted by BCI. Special prosecutor Angela Canepa is the lead prosecutor in the case. I anticipate it will remain that way. All the investigations, evidence gathering and testing, drawing up of charges, etc. has been done by the State. So, if there needs to be a firewall between the murder case and anything at PCSO, the firewall has been there since the day the murders were discovered.

At this point, though, none of the allegations, etc. about PCSO corruption are linked to the Rhoden/Gilley murder case. If someone wants to create an investigation to attempt to link alleged PCSO corruption to drug trafficking by the Wagners, they should do that, but it would be separate from the murder charges. The evidence is showing the W's committed the murders, so that's what is being pursued here. If their defense attorneys want to claim someone else committed the murders, they're going to have to show some kind of evidence to convince the jury.

No one is saying the investigation into PCSO shouldn't continue, but it's on a separate track. IMHO, the idea that Sheriff Reader killed the Rhodens is ludicrous. AG DeWine wouldn't have stake his reputation and that of the AG's office on trying to cover up something like that. What would DeWine stand to gain from that? Nothing.

Hi Knuckles...I can only respond to a few of your points because I don't want to spend the rest of the day typing a rebuttal. But, you are implying local LE killed 8 human beings and set up the W4 family, right? Some of the problems with that theory are:
How did LE get GW3 to come back to Ohio and then have him get a Scorpion Tatto on his trigger finger? I don't think so.
How did LE get RN to forge documents? Did they sneak into her home and use her notary stamp, too? I don't think so.
How could LE assure HMR was going to drop off toddler S the day before the murders? What a coincidence, JW's child was not there?
How could the local Sheriff also manage the surveillance and conversations of the Wagner's in Alaska? Or for that matter, anything that was recovered or investigated in 10 other states?
Just not possible.
And, do you think it is possible to deceive 48 different agencies, who have unlimited budgets to investigate "the last time your Momma withdrew cash from an ATM machine."? Sure the local issues with the Sheriff's office are irksome...maybe even ending a few LE jobs/careers. But killing 8 human beings? NO WAY.
The finding of the silencer parts, just happened to coincide with GW4 coming back to Ohio for a Change of Visitation hearing for his son. I believe he came alone and he was the one who told LE where the items could be found in order to save his "own bottom."

The only way the charge against Reader would come into play in the trial is if the money he took was money he recovered in the R trailers that was from sales of MJ. But any money found in those trailers would not be confiscated money since Reader had no way of questioning the victims about where it came from. So what connection would there be between Reader skimming drug money and the W's killing 8 people?

As for his brother, I don't think that even factors into anything. The guy was fired for not showing up to work. Him being lazy has no effect on the W's guilt or innocence in a trial.

You have to remember that not just anything the defense tries to throw out there will be entered as evidence in a trial. If it does not have direct relevance to the murders the judge will not allow it in. That would be like them trying to introduce testimony that Lenny is happy they have the killers in jail. It would be tossed out faster than the judge could rap his gavel.

BTW who do you think did this crime if not the W's?

Whenever this whole case comes to a close, since it went national, I wonder if anyone, such as Netflix, will make a documentary about it. Because through a trial, I bet their names will be dragged through the mud, so if a documentary is ever made of the Rhodens, hopefully it will be one that pays tribute to them, as well as, corrects any misinformation that would be out there etc

There is also a very sharp prosecutor Canepa who is going to object to any of the defense antics. Not everything the defense comes up with will be allowed in. So it's safe to assume all those "rumors" the defense comes up with about the R's are going to be shut down by the judge as irrelevant. It is also safe to assume that Reader skimming money or who he owes money to is going to get shut down also as irrelevant.

So let's keep in mind that a guy who is too lazy to show up to work is not going to be relevant in a murder trial in which he was no way involved and the judge is not going to allow it in.

I happen to really like the movie Boondock Saints, as did my almost 40 year old brother and my nearly 30 year old husband. Maybe it's an age thing. Just because the Wags might have twisted the plot to fit their evil intentions does not change my view of the movie. It's fiction. Entertainment. The good guys doing away with the bad guys.
I guess if you watch it with the idea of matching it to a real-life murder plot, you might think differently, but I personally still consider it one of my favorite cult classics. I don't let the twisted Wags ruin it for me.

I agree not everything the defense will put out there will come in. But I totally and completely disagree on the point that the prosecutor’s investigator was fired based solely on attendance. I know that is part of what was stated, but we all know how that works. Jmo Dewine stated himself Sheriff Reader was part of every big decision made. Sheriff Reader and his brother (fired investigator for prosecutor who works for Sheriff department also) are both still under investigation into the Sheriff Department. If there is a way for the defense to make one juror doubt guilt they will try it. Jmo

The chance of all LE agencies in the State of Ohio are in collusion with the Sheriff of Pike County to coverup the murders of 8 people is beyond ludicrous, IMO. Only the one that @Dudly saw. It's of a truck engine, I believe. We may not be seeing any others under the clothing. There is a couple lines, in Boondock Saints 2, that speak to the old tail about the Scorpion and the Frog (No good dead goes unpunished, sort of story). Another coincidence?

JW has a Cummins diesel tattoo that was visible at the arraignment on his right arm bicep, IF I remember correctly. If he and his brother had a diesel 18 wheeler at some point, that would make sense because they - IN MY OPINION - probably went from 3/4 or 1 ton diesel truck horse hauler on FWF to an 18 wheeler. They probably actually knew how to work on them. In Appalachia, a Cummins diesel is currently (and I hate to say this, but I'm from those parts) a status symbol. Most of these kids start out with 3/4 ton diesel trucks that they use to haul nothing but they "roll coal" just to prove their "country" realness. JW and GW4 probably actually used one to haul horses if they worked on the horse farm, but it's still a "hillbilly" status symbol. I'm more interested in GW3s tattoos, because as I've said before, his are more tied to either white pride groups or biker gangs. You'll find crank (meth) in either of those groups. JMO.

Let's keep in mind the 4 defendants are represented by at least 8 attorneys. They seem to care very much about how their client is viewed in the media. We had a good example yesterday.

Let's keep in mind, if these attorneys were here, they'd remind us their client is innocent until proven otherwise.

Personally, I am not comfortable engaging into a one-sided conversation where the starting point is Ws are guilty. Even more of crimes they are not accused of.

Let's keep in mind there is a big forum that closed recently. There is a reason for it. We need to have a fair conversation based on facts. Some lawyers work for free. Really? Let's not make them work at our expense
