Rhoden family massacre: Court dates set for Wagner family accused of killing 8

Does anyone know who the man and woman are that are sitting to the left of RW?

Don't know their names but I think they work for Fred. I recognize them from the Flying W Farms Website, working with the horses or dogs or both.

The money on Kenny was amateurs staging the crime scene to make it look like Kenny owed a drug debt. DeWine/Reader made it clear that the suspects tampered with the crime scenes.

It was a year before the Wagners moved. If Chris Sr. and Billy were doing business together it obviously soured and stopped, considering Billy plotted for 4 months to get rid of Chris.

Their business dealings would likely have been off the record, the Wagners filed for bankruptcy in 2001 or 2002 and only had $500 plus in social security coming in. Fred paid Billy under the table it appears. Angie took customer's phone calls for Fred and probably was also paid under the table.

Their assets were listed at about $2,500, and their liabilities at about $10,000, including almost $2,500 owed to Sears for clothing, $500 in medical bills and $325 in unpaid utility bills

If they were business partners and IF Billy was still not financially secure, I could very well see how he and AW may have been jealous.

I finally decided to look at probate records again and it appears CSR had $75,623.61 in the bank. This seems like a lot of cash for his trade, especially since he just purchased Dana's place. My Opinion

You can buy a car at an auction and with some labor and a few parts make $5,000-$7,000+ on it. I know a guy that started a business rebuilding wrecks and cars from auctions back in the 70s already and it is still in business doing that to this day. The guy's son runs it now...

I did it some myself in the early 70s. I bought a '68 Camaro RS/SS 396 four speed for $500 and all it really needed was the front brakes rebuilt. It was scary fast. I bought a '67 Camaro SS 350 four speed for $500 and bought the parts to fix it for $200.

Their only monthly income listed was $530 in Social Security payments and $389 in food stamps.
It was reported that $ 1,000 in bills were scattered over KR.
The W4 were financially struggling.
Where did the $ 1,000 in bills come from?

They also owned Defiance Farms in Peebles, which brought in mucho money. The FB account is still active and shows pictures and prices of their animals that AW posted for sale. And JW and GW4 owned and drove a semi, plus worked as diesel mechanics. Just saying... Thanks, CC!

I can understand that.
In thinking on this a bit more, I probably shouldn't jump to the conclusion all that cash was in the bank. Cash could have been in the safe and the records reflect the bank holding the estate.
Short point- S became an heir to his assets with his own children being deceased.

Counterfeit? Wasn't a scam was going on in the area when the murders happened?

You have me puzzled Loomis124. Are you saying the $1000 was counterfeit? And what type of scam was going on in the area when he murders happened?

CRSR did NOT have this money in the bank at the time of his death. If you will read the docket entry, it expressly states, "State Farm Insurance Policy plus Interest" in Citizens Bank - $75,623.61, and the date is Feb 2019. The account is the estate account, which TR opened and has done a marvelous job of maintaining. The link below shows every entry. IMO, we must be very careful what we post here and make sure it represents the truth, especially in this matter of probate. Many readers here take posts at face value and run with them. TY

I am Not saying it was counterfeit. I had a ? at the end of that word, which means it's a question. Sorry, I didn't mean to confuse. I will search for the scams and post when I find them. My point was...posters were saying the Ws were so poor they couldn't afford to throw and leave a thousand dollars on KR. My question was could the money have been counterfeit? <modsnipped>JMO

Also, if you remember, FW opened two new LLCs in 2016, IMO, buying Defiance Farms' surplus animals.

Absolutely! I would!

"Let me ask you: If you take a car you bought for $1,200 and put in a few hundred dollars and it ends up being worth $8,000, wouldn't you do it?" Manley asked.

Why the Rhoden family had so many cars
