No feeble lie, it's a big lie that she told under oath, that she copied the receipts and was going to bring them to court. It's a lie because over a period of several months her attorney kept telling AC that they were LOOKING FOR the receipts and trying out various Amazon passwords to find the account the vests were ordered from.

Then her attorney, after several months, "suddenly" finds digital evidence to show the vests were ordered through paypal. Obvious stalling but for what gain? Now the prosecution has to verify the paypal purchases.

But then what is the prosecution's angle? The vests were tested and no link to the murders was found on them yet they told Fred's attorney that they think the vests were used in the murders.

There has to be some reason that the prosecution attributes a sinister motive to the vest purchases, a motive strong enough to lie under oath for. I don't think the prosecution has played their last hand on this subject, they are saving their "Ace" for later.

I think this because , otherwise, the prosecution would simply let the case be dismissed. They want to take her to trial, probably can't wait to get her on the stand in front of the jury.
.................2 Cents....................

Agree. At this time, we know little about what the prosecution knows of or plans to do about the BPV's at Flying W Farms. JMO, the alleged timeline for the purchase of the BPVs is really unknown to us.

Hi Dudly, did you save the link for this? I'm looking to post it in the Media & Timelines thread, but having no luck finding it at ScribD. TIA!

@Loomis. You asked how the article I linked earlier was related to this case.... maybe it's not. Please feel free to report it if there is a problem.

However, neither is discussing a young mans right to read his bible in a private cell and his reasoning for doing so, or really any of the religious digs being posted on here but yet we muddle through them.

Interesting old article with pics. The one with BWIII on the motorcycle I've never seen. The reply by "In the Know" is interesting, too, as it says he is from Waverly but no other info given....
Pictured, people in laser focus of multiple murder hunt | Daily Mail Online

Wow! The last several paragraphs are the Wagner's attorney bashing LE as being quite the incompetent "Keystone Cops. "

And this is an interesting quote from their attorney:

".....He said the Wagners had supplied police with invaluable information to help the investigation....

"Why have the authorities not follow up on the leads that the Wagners wanted to give? Is it because the authorities carelessly waited 4-5 months to get back to Billy Wagner?

"Only now doing so, unexpectedly in a public place, and hence, putting the Wagners lives in danger? Malfeasance and incompetence at its finest."

Under what circumstances would a BPV plate need to be replaced?

ETA
Also curious to know how the mfg date is applied to the plate. Is it really just a sticker that could easily be removed and replaced?

Are there serial numbers or mfg lot #'s stamped into the plate?

I get the impression there are varying degrees of quality in BPV's. What is the difference between the least and most expensive BPV? How customized do they need to be to be effective?

Are the prices FW claimed to pay on E-Bay reasonable/low/high?

Would there be any identification between a vest advertised on E-Bay and the receipt provided for the purchase?

The warranties identify the specific period of ballistic performance but they are not evaluated by the Compliance Testing Program (CTP). However, the actual performance of each individual protective vest may vary based on how it has been stored and maintained, environmental exposure and differences in use.

Body Armor Care and Replacement

For more protection without feeling too bulky there is Level II body armor. This is able to withstand ammunition such as 9mm full jacket bullets as well as other ammo such as .357 JSP.

Level II is recommended for daily wear as it offers higher protection without compromising comfort. Level III-A is best for high risk situations and tactical events. Able to protect against 9mm ammo it is also able to protect against .44 magnum hollow points. Most departments issue officers at least two types for different events.

Are they ever replaced because of damage?

PS - My first successful quote using the quote feature!

I'd think if they were damaged, the shell would be damaged too, so they'd purchase a whole new shell w/plates.

My understanding is a sticker/label. Image on website.

Any proof of this? Why protection for just those two? And not AW, Billy, and the others?

Because she did go on record stating they were both for Billy. Two sizes in case one didn't fit.

The foot dragging on receipts behind it all is another place I can't understand. I would not have sat around and expected others to go through my Amazon records looking to prove my case/innocence.

I would have been online gathering every credit card statement, PayPal, Amazon record myself to find proof of my purchase and cleared this up very quickly.

I knew I was forgetting something on my "to do" list. I need some new body armor. :p

Seriously, why does anyone besides people who work in LE or security work need body armor? If it's in good condition, it appears to be fairly expensive. Maybe if you live in one of those popular areas during deer season, where all the city folks come out to shoot up each other, your barn and your livestock?:(

MOO but Owen bends the rules to fit his needs. I believe his license took a “sabbatical” so to speak in the past.
Yes Owen has done that in the past ...
My opinion:
Owen doesn’t seem to understand the repercussions now that his antics are being observed outside of his safe space of Pike County, Southern Ohio.
I can not wait to hear what Prosecutor Angela C (not Junk, as I am surprised he remains on this case) and the Judge have to say in open Court about these activities.

Regarding the discussions about the vests. Interesting to see how this plays out. I believe Prosecution is on solid ground. Unless I’m misunderstanding the course of events. My opinion:
Prosecution was patiently waiting for FW and Attorney to provide proof of her claim, to provide receipts FW said she had. FW and Owen did not do so.
I am guessing that “chain of custody” and concern that there be no open window for “evidence tampering” claim was a factor in what LE did or did not do. Meaning - take the vests apart.
I see all that is unfolding regarding FW and her “Attoreny”
as negative for the Wagners.
They are giving more and more evidence of their natural ability to attempt to deceive. True nature is being revealed.
(Think Scorpion.)
Finally, Wagners are out of their league and so is Owen.
The State of Ohio and all resources available, including legal minds with extensive experience, will prevail over Wagners and Owen.
Indictment will stand.

It was IMO that FW would take care of the future of Fly W Farm. The two boys would be the ones to carry on the family name, look at it now! IMO she bought the vest for George and Jake.

Sounds to me like......
Owen inspected the vests over at BCI and discovered the date at that time,
or BCI discovered it at that time and let Owen see the date.

Article......
The prosecution found out about the vests manufacturing dates "after meeting with Owen so he could inspect the vests on Feb. 1, 2019."
Or....Fred told Owen about the date on the plate because she knew the original plate had been switched for one made after the murders.

Do not forget the Wags had plenty of time between the murders and the raid that confiscated the vests to switch plates or dispose of the originals or just plain buy a couple of vests to throw off LE suspicions of them by acting like they were scared to death Billy would be next. But let's ask ourselves why Billy and not Jake who was "considered married" to Hanna and "considered part of the family". Wouldn't Jake be the bigger target?

I am going to head out into left field here and throw out a theory.

It has been "rumored" that Billy and Angie separated right after the murders. If that rumor is true then it is possible that Billy moved in with his mother. Fred said she bought the vests for Billy and not for herself and Robin because Robin would not wear one and she (Fred) did not care if they killed her or not. So to answer the question of why Billy and not Jake is it possible that the ones she feared would kill Billy was his own family, Jake, George and Angie?

Just a little something to think about on a dreary day like today.

Agree, who wouldn't automatically check their PayPal account if they were trying to exonerate themselves from criminal charges? That's a no-brainer. PayPal is frequently used by millions for online shopping.
