OH - Pike County: 8 people from one family dead as police hunt for killer(s) #1

I am fairly good at transcribing and have a small amount of experience with emergency dispatching (had a medical transcribing job that helped put me through pharmacy school and worked for a short time as a volunteer EMT). I will try to find the Broadcastify channel (is it Ashland County or Ashton County? Wysteria, do you know?). Thanks for the help in advance. If I hear anything I will post downstairs for anyone who is interested

I grew up near there and spent quite a bit of time there in my teen years.

News reports are scattered, very little info. They aren't saying much about the shooter, but the school lockdowns have been lifted. I have heard there were two adults and 5 kids killed, but I have also heard 2 kids were sent to the hosp. Two of the kids involved were reportedly infants, 1 was 6 mos old and 1 was only 5 days old.

It is Pike County but it looks like most of the surrounding counties are involved. Also most state law enforcement: OBI and the AG's office.

PIKE COUNTY —Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine said eight people were found dead in Pike County on Friday morning.

The office said that the victims were shot "execution-style." All of the victims are believed to possibly be members of the same family, and they were found in four homes.

DeWine also told WLW radio that "the assailant is probably loose somewhere."

At least seven of the victims are believed to be members of the Rhoden family, DeWine said.

Telling Cunningham that the shooter or shooters "may still be on the loose," DeWine said, "If I was a member of that family, I would be extra cautious right now."

The scenes include houses and trailer homes separated by about a mile.

"PIKETON, Ohio — Officials now say an eighth body was found at a fourth location in Pike County.

The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation said earlier seven people were dead at three scenes on Union Hill Road, right at the Adams County line. A victims advocate from Pike County said two children survived and were taken to local hospitals. Their condition was not known."

I am just unsure about the shooter. From watching other cases I would guess they found the shooter at the scene fom the responses I am seeing. There are no warnings going out here, school lockdowns have been lifted. The only thing they ar saying though is there is not an active shooter investigation.
