I don't think reporters were ever close enough to get much of anything on camera. And I also wonder how that was pulled off. I too, have seen many news casts where rescuers were filmed bringing out a gurney with a body bag... somebody said many threads ago LE could have used tarps for privacy, but of course, we don't know for certain about that either!

Even though LE has been practically hiding everything from the public, including the pot, it still seems for them, the large grow-op would have been more believable if we had seen something.
Somebody posted awhile back there was a large grow-op bust in the area, and when the whole story came out, there was a total of 18 plants. That leads me to believe the three grow sites probably had around 20 each. Definitely too many to grow in the window, but not nearly enough to be considered large scale.
My parents have always lived in town and had a garden. Every other day Mother was bringing me at least 4 gallon zip lock bags full of snapped green beans, and more cucumbers than the three of us could eat. We gave away quite a bit, ate quite a bit, I canned 16 pints. Daddy said he could have given away a pickup load of cucumbers, and still would have too many to eat. And this all came from a medium size garden in the backyard. If it was a particularly good harvest, LE would think large grow-op just standing back looking at the largest, and trying to imagine having three grow-ops in one location, they automatically envisioned large...Plus, I think they tend to stretch the truth, so they can imagine a majority of the town giving them a pat on the back for a job well done!

All I am simply saying is I don't understand why people think it is strange that there are no photo's. They have not shown any evidence in this case at all. What they are showing is consistent behavior in denying details as they said they would. We would all love to see some evidence but I don't feel like I have a right to it in the middle of an investigation. Nor do I feel it is their job to prove this case to me before it goes to trial. That is the responsibility of the attorneys. Making us believe what happened is saved for the court room. We unfortunately have to wait and let them work it. I do not mean to come off as being sh**ty but they are not in the business of making us believe anything. I'm not trying to guess the size of the grow. I'm just looking for connections.

Now, if the families involved were crying out for the public's help and demanding info I would support them in that.

I've never seen any pics of that either. I can understand why, b/c of discretion, but since when has the news ever used discretion? I've seen them show video of gurneys being rolled to the ambulance, people being shot, etc... They rarely decide to leave anything out to spare the families, or the viewers, anymore.

I agree with you to a certain degree, but LE has come across poorly to many people, not just here, but friends, family, neighbors, possibly half the state simply because they have been too mute about this case.
Granted, I'm a nurse, not a detective, but LE seems to think they have no responsibility to abide by the law as the rest of us are expected to do, and ignoring the gen pub when people mention statutes and laws. Almost like inferring we're stupid and annoying, and if they continue to treat us in that manner, hopefully we will shut up and go away.
If one of them had a spouse or child in the hospital, and the doctors and nurses wouldn't tell them anything except terrible infection, were a mask. They would blow their tops! It's always different when the shoe is on the other foot!

Everything I read and see regarding this case makes me think of a county saying..."if you want to kill a snake you chop off it's head not the tail".

I have followed since day one. I know I have no reason to believe they will give out any info about the investigation. I don't expect or want them to if it would help whomever done this to get away or be able to use it as defense in court....sorry but we are not involved in that way. Yes I would love to know because of my own curiosity.
Truth is we are outsiders!!

Any of these scenarios are possible, but not probable in my book. With the Eury's large, probably a minimum of three successful harvests, I doubt they would even blink at the Rhoden's product. Most are saying 200 hundred plants wouldn't be considered large. I'm thinking they probably had a few customers who bought in bulk when it was available, but probably they sold enough dime bags and quarter bags to put food on the table, along with giving them some spending money. I don't see them having too many standing orders for two or three lids a month. And as protective as Hannah and Frankie were with their kids, I don't see them, especially Hannah allowing any growing inside the house, even if it was kept behind locked doors. From what people have said throughout this forum, the distinct odor is always present, and more so around harvest time. I could be totally wrong, but I really don't think so.

After DeWine's comment on the Rhoden Pot grow operation, I wonder how he'd describe this Eury operation. They sure have not shown any proof that the Rhoden operation was sophisticated or large. The Eury operation was definitely sophisticated.

I've not seen the exact charges listed but they arrested her. The filing, if it's the right one, lists the defendants as:

Stephen Dale Eury Aka Stephen;
Eury, Justice;
National Bank Of Adams County

Now, why they have the bank listed, I do not know.

Also, in my mention of the Eury's case yesterday, I said I hoped they would talk & maybe provide information on who might be backing these pot grows, not that the Rhoden's and the Eury's operation were connected. Like CHsr having that new pole barn etc...

I n one if the pics the day of the murders, a few LE are seen looking inside a small wooden shed by Chris's house. No way would that be ideal for a large, sophisticated grow-op. In my opinion, that shed looked quite old, and if pot plants are fragile as seedlings, that shed did not look sturdy enough to keep the cold wind or blowing dust from coming in. So that pretty much voids the idea of a large grow-op.
I know there were other buildings on the property, but that one seemed to be the one everybody was interested in. At least from what I remember from the pics I've seen.

I remember that pic too. They may well have had 200 plants but they were seedlings. As long as there wasn't any frost that hit them they would probably have been okay in the buildings, as seedlings. Kind of like how farmers cover their tobacco beds. The seeds are planted early in March, but, the beds are covered with canvas to protect the young plants from frost and insects. The mj plants would be okay growing out in the barn or sheds b/c they'd have cover from frost. If they were planning to put them in the ground around 1st or 2nd week of May, they probably started them around March. Much like tobacco. They'd not have found plants like they did at the Eury's, who were specifically growing indoors. Just guessing.

That is a civil case in Adams County.

CV20160311 - State of Ohio v. Stephen Eury, Justice Eury, National Bank of Adams County

It was filed on 8-8-2016 and is listed as an "other" civil case.

My guess is a civil forfeiture related to the grow op and that the bank holds a lien against the property.

Their criminal case numbers are:

CRA1600328 - Stephen Dale Eury
CRA1600329 - Justice A. Stamper

Both were charged with 2nd degree felony cultivation. Both cases were sent to a grand jury.

I had to use the "County Court" search tab to find the cultivation cases. The civil case pops up under the Common Pleas court tab.

There is a different database for Adams County felony cases that have come out of a grand jury. I had the link at one time, but am having trouble locating it.

I don't think anyone was backing the Rhodens. I believe their grow was an old-fashioned family effort that goes on up in the region all the time. They're literally all over the region. I'm just surprised the Rhodens didn't get caught b/c of how they acted and flaunted the law. That's what led me to believe they'd got caught, and was narcing, and someone found out. But, If you go back through the geographic photos of the properties, you can see how the properties grew over a several year period of time. I think, that CR1, while not being highly educated, was a fairly savvy businessman, and he, his brother, and son, were pretty talented mechanics. So, between valid jobs, legally selling cars, and the pot, they all lived a decent life, and had some fun, which is all they really seemed to want.

Closest I've seen is pictures of the ambulances lined up waiting to be called for the body collections. *If* I remember correctly, they could have closed the road a mile or more in each direction. They stated investigators were in the trailers overnight collecting evidence. I'm thinking it's quite possible the bodies were removed in the middle of the night.

I remember those pics too. There was a bit of talk on the MSM sites about not allowing them in, and why. Iirc too, they shut down the road just past KR's place and above it UHR, in at the other end of UHR.
