Interesting that these meth supplies appear to have been picked up from HR's place of employment. I don't think she was working that day. Still, food for thought though....

If I was that cab driver I'd be scared to death after they spelled out in the article that s/he was the one who called LE. Meth and those who use it are on a whole different level than pot, IMO. Even pot, depending on the quantity, could get a "narc" seriously injured! I just never realized those things are made public!!!

Hanna had been on maternity leave for two weeks. April 17th is the day she delivered.

Not a lot of new information, but there are a few interesting statements toward the end of the article.

Their annual family reunion is cancelled. It's interesting how big families react in situations like these.

Some families unite to pay tribute to the lost ones and face together a common enemy outside of the family

And others feel not ready to see each other again. I can understand , especially when there is a gag order and a suspicion in the family.

It's not the first time TR speaks up for his family. I wonder how is the dynamic between the brothers/sisters and their children. How was it really before it happened?

I saw that article. I was looking for a meaning or a message being sent associated with shooting someone through the eye(s). I didn't find one.

It's very effective to shoot someone in the eye, imo it was no message, no sign of hate or rage, just a pragmatic decision.

I don't see in the article where it says HR was the person who called?

AG is protecting the case for a confession. I wonder if the case is strong enough without one. ...

If there is no witness and if the perps are regulars of the home, it will be difficult to convince their presence in the home is linked to the murders

Unfortunately, I think this case could be stalled for a while

I think the case is dead in the water unless something new comes up. Like you say, if the perp(s) were regulars in the houses, it is an
excuse for their DNA or fingerprints being there...

Or training...

Or training...
I agree with the training. However a very significant part of the local population has training with guns and hunting. I am not sure the training requirement narrows down suspects or takes the case far from the crime scene.

Many people send large packages of Cannabis through the mail. 39lbs is not really that much, considering you can easily buy up to several thousand pounds of it to have mailed to you. If they find something like that, the Postal Investigators will set up a tracking device inside the package, or else they'll require that the person it was being delivered to to come into the Post Office to pick up the package, at which time they're arrested. Envelopes are rarely checked.

I think that the USPS has a weight restriction of around 70 pounds. I'm sure folks do send pot through the mail all of the time but not like what they found, in an apparently slapshod mailing package. Either way, pretty stupid to send pot through the mail.

I got a sinking feeling after riding up through there last weekend. Unless someone knows something, or the assailant(s) left something behind, they could've hopped off of Hwy. 32, onto UHR, then on to Left Fork, then back to Hwy 32, and been gone. I doubt they'd have even been seen by more than one or two cars. No one would even take note of another car nor could you tell the color or make at that hour, on those dark, unlit roads. I normally can't.

RSD, what is your feeling about this case after 5 months.
- No witness, isolated, well done crime
- 700 tips, 150 interviews
- a few interesting statements about children and perps knowing the homes

But still no arrest. What does it mean? They've got someone in the radar but no case ? or they've got no clue?

Just got that "feeling" driving up past there. It's seriously a lonesome, and isolated stretch of road out on 32. I could see how no one would be seen on that dark mountain parkway, and could dump their stuff in the Scioto River and be gone. Like I said before, unless they left some sort of evidence at the scene, or someone talks, I don't see that anyone "saw" anything that night, or they got anything much from local security cams, or they'll find guns/clothing b/c disposal of them would be just too easy. I've not felt that way until actually driving through there and seeing the lay of everything.

What kind of solution can be reached to satisfy both parties? There must have been more injuries done to these poor people than we are aware of. They have already released the number of shots. The only thing I can think of that they might release is who received what number of shots. JMO

Agree, there doesn't seem to be any solution that could be reached. Reveal the autopsy information or don't. Seems investigators are trying to stall and keep the "arbitration" process going. IMO, they just want to keep the case out of the news, avoid public criticism or discussion.

IIRC, from the news article at the time it happened, the USPS workers spotted it quickly because the smell was obvious. Not sure how a pro can ship this much pot by USPS, but they must have some really skilled packing techniques.

ETA: I once bought an antique desktop mail sorter/cabinet on EBay. When I opened the box, the odor of pot was fairly strong. It was pretty well wrapped in bubble wrap and packing paper, etc. There wasn't any pot in it either, but you could tell someone recently used it to store their stash. I can imagine how much stronger the pot odor would have been if it had 20 or 30 lbs of pot inside. The mailman would have gotten a contact high bringing it to the door.

You say it's isolated, no witness. I believe you

I still think the few statements regarding the number of perps, familiarity with the homes and the children are meaningful. After these statements I would find odd if investigators were clueless. Especially after 5 months

Investigators must know something about this case for blocking custodies, autopsy reports and having a gag order.

If it's not about a potential suspect, it is at least about the nature of the crime or its motivation.

Marking my spot.... Just so frustrating that there aren't any arrests ! Haven't been following these murders since developments are moving so slowly. why the silence ?

Assuming here : Their phone records, social media, and any contact the victims had with others (pleasant or otherwise) have all been thoroughly pursued; right ?

From the pic of them standing beside it, it looked to be sealed pretty well. They may have said they "smelled" it to warrant "discovering" it. I "smell" a rat though. I think they had their eye on someone and were watching for stuff. LE may have even asked the PO to be on the lookout for suspicious packages. But, personally, if the smell got out then I'd not give them props for very good packaging skills.

Why the silence ?

People have different theories on this. Imo, the investigation does not need to share information.

They don't need to share because there arent a lot of unkowns in the network of the Rhoden. There arent any witness either to work with. And also , without witness or evidence from the crime scene , they will need at least one of the perp to talk, so the case must remain secret.

I'm not saying they are clueless. However, having suspects in mind, w/o evidence to prosecute them and win a conviction, can drag on for years, if not forever.

You are right. Could be as simple. I'd feel bad for the family if someone got away with it. Even more if it's someone they know.
