Then again, GR may have just come up for the festival and was in the wrong place at the wrong time. I really don't see him as a mastermind. He may have had some sketchy friends though. Not saying he was stupid but I feel like he was your typical addict. I've know some very, very, smart addicts (former white collar making bank) but after the addiction took hold, for them to put together a big business gig would have been hard, if not impossible.

Agree, I don't see him as any kind of mastermind, either. But he may have angered the wrong people down in KY by seeing something, talking to LE or interfering in their operations in some way.

Can't say I'd want to keep living in the area and driving by those murder scene properties where family members died....

Slightly OT, but many people don't mind this. I used to live near a home where a legendary gruesome murder was committed. Years after, a family bought it and lived there for about 20 yrs. In a news interview, they said it never bothered them, it was a great home to raise their family.

Several years ago, the "Amityville Horror" home was listed for sale. The photos showed it had been beautifully remodeled and redecorated. It looked fantastic. IIRC, the only problem those owners experienced, who also lived there many years, was with people trespassing, knocking on their door.

I really hope the people living in that Peeble community can some day see it return to a nice, peaceful place.

I had the oddest thought last night. This has been characterized as a sophisticated crime. But, what if it wasn't? What if it was staged to look like a sophisticated crime? Suppose I wanted to kill my neighbors or family? I'm no murderer. Could I find enough information to pull this off and make it look like something it isn't?

Does anyone have a link that works on the house for sale? I can't find it on any real estate site. Thanks.

Neither could I. I looked on both Zillow and Trulia and found nothing on Union Hill Rd.

I've not read this article yet! Thank you for sharing. Though I want to know every single detail that they have on this case, I totally respect Readers stance to the media! Sometimes things reported are misconstrued and I think his persistence of keeping this out of the media speaks volumes of what his agenda is. I believe he wants nothing more than to bring this family, living and deceased, justice. He wants his community safe and as clean as possible. When this case is finally solved and people are behind bars, he will be a rockstar, not only in the eyes of his community but to everyone following this case! And, imo, I have faith this case will be solved.

I found nothing either. But, if my daughter and grandchildren had been murdered on the same road I lived, I'd get away too! I can't help but think of the sadness you'd experience and having to face it everyday and relive the memories of what occurred, you'd never pick up the pieces and move on! It would be reliving your very worst day over and over! That would be challenging not living on the same road!

Please allow me to inject my opinion regarding the link that allows us to read post 848 's ((Flatbush). I. think I am safe
referring to this article and other articles by the Pike. County Newswatch,,by Stephnie Stanley...if you have not read this
article,,please do so..Also,, I need some help in retracting information involving JJ and his problem with shooting a driver
at a road block and shooting his neighbor. As I remember, this incident happened on sheriff Henderson' watch. and JJ was
dismissed from the Sheriff's. Office, but the grievance by the union allow him to to return to a position in the Sheriff' department.
Now, here set me straight ,, did Sheriff Anderson resign over that incident? I think it was posted that Reader was appointed
Sheriff on May 15, 2015 ..The reason I bring this up,, the article says that Reader received a request for infomation on the
cost of this investigation and who was paying for that expense. Then the reporter(TV reporter) asked Reader for a face to
face,, sit-down interview which Reader declined giving the reply to the reporter that she make a list of the questions
prior to the interview. The reporter declined the suggestion...My take of all of this leads me to establish that Reader
has all the investigation sewed up and is controlling evidence that the 100 or so investigators are presenting..Reader is a very, very, smart man. He acknowledged that he has paid for everything concerning the investigation..He told the reporter
that he was the one who elected to impound all evidence, trailers, cars, dogs, chickens, etc and he paid for a camera
with a deputy watching and guarding the impound warehouse 24/7.The article, if it's true, shows a Sheriff with amazing
candor who has sealed this up and has out-foxed the best investigators Ohio can offer.. JMO

Hi! Ray, long time no hear! Thought your computer broke! You're killing me with that post! Plz check your msgs! So if Charlie has done all of this single handedly, then you are implying arrests are in the near future? Or are you implying Charlie has a wild imagination?

  • #853
If you carefully read the article, post 848, you will see that all that I have written has been explained carefully by
Reader..The article was written by a reporter who tries to explain the reaction between a T.V. Reporter and Charlie..
This article makes it very clear as described by Charlie that he gave the instructions to impound all evidence. He
picked the impound lot, installed a camera, also, set up a deputy to guard the impound lot 24/7...I am not implying that
an arrest is evident .. I am implying that the arrest,if there ever is one, will be dictated by Charlie...This article,
if what the reporter told is true, shows Charlie knows things can not and will not move forward until he decides it will....
I can't go any farther explaining or I am in trouble with TOSH.. Gif read the article..please..

I wish I was close enough to visit them! I think that would be great. Get to know about them, and not like a reporter just to get info and sell papers and then forget about the people you befriended.

I am plenty close enough, but I am a chicken. How would he react? Would he meet you at the door with a gun? I would love to just sit and chat with them, he and his wife. Just chit chat about different ones likes and dislikes, just stuff that would put "people" with the names you know? Did Dana like flowers growing outside? Just stuff like that, I would not pry about the crimes. He seems like a common sort, might put him at ease but I am seriously afraid to go! I certainly don't appear to be a reporter or anything, but he does not know me. Gotta ponder this one LOL

Howdy Ray! Was wondering about you the other day!

I think you are pretty spot on. I personally think they have more thank a clue, its just making sure every duck is in the row and if it ain't find the dang duck.
This article proves to me this case is ANYTHING but cold. If they did not have suspects (for example)... would it or would it not be getting a bit cold by now? I think so. I am so anxious for the day I boot this old laptop up and see there has been an arrest. What a glorious day that will be! Can you imagine the relief Southern Ohio will feel.. and the tremendous relief this will be for family. I pray it happens SOON.

I think it's very telling that the SO installed a camera system to be monitored 24/7 where the evidence is stored. Clearly they are concerned about someone having unauthorized access to it. Again, my opinion suggests the subjects in this case were LE insiders.

You can certainly learn or be taught how to minimize evidence, how to easily break-in to a home, how to bypass dogs, etc - but the things like putting a gun to someone's head and pulling the trigger (let alone watching pints and pints of blood drain out of them) is something else entirely. Many people do not even possess the ability to hurt an intruder in their own home, let alone murder someone in cold blood. Could the killers be amateurs? I suppose anything is possible. But, is it likely that they are amateurs? No. The killers did their homework in this case; they investigated and planned very thoroughly - something amateurs would not do.

The number of fatal overdoses in Ohio that involve heroin has soared from 87 in 2003 to 1,424 last year. It was a factor in 47 percent of all fatal overdoses, higher than any other drug. http://fal.cn/E-W0

Ray, I do not know if you're on facebook, but here is a page that is quite critical of Pike County LE and other agencies, and the page owner claims to be an insider. Could be legit, could be bs, but the accusations against Reader are pretty serious. https://www.facebook.com/pikecountygoodlaw/
