OH - Pike County: 8 people from one family dead as police hunt for killer(s) - #22

What if this case is similar (only with seven more victims) to what is rumored to have been the cause of Brittany Stykes murder? That it could be someone who has done this to hurt someone who owed them something, or had wronged them, so they murder the family members to show the surviving family member(s) that they are serious. It is rumored, that she was murdered b/c of someone else's debt. No one has been arrested yet, in the Stykes case, but, I think it is just for want of ensuring a sure-fire conviction.

They wouldn't say who, only that it was someone who was owed money. Investigators said the killer wanted to make a point but added neither Brittany or her husband Shane, was the person who owed the killer.

That could also be one of the reasons LE is still concerned for the safety of the babies.

I don't necessarily think the babies are targets or they would have been killed. However, I work in law enforcement and NO WAY would anyone who is a suspect be given those babies back. Whether or not the person would actually kill the babies doesn't matter, if they killed anyone they can not have the kids. That's why I think LE may be hesitant to give a specific family those kids. Especially if one may have a history of domestic violence.

The babies were not targets that night. The child in the Stykes case wasn't a target either. She was hit w/a fragment. Even though they were not targets that night, they could become targets, if it is a scenario like the Stykes case. If they did this as a punishment to still living family member(s), then the family could still have fear of them coming back for the babies, if those family members don't tow the line.

Dewine has said they have uncovered things in Pike County they didn't know about, or to some effect of that. Maybe this wasn't family, but a professional hit. What did CRsr get his branch of the family tree into? Were these new commercial grow ops? He probably always was a small time player, but did he plan to branch out? Whose toes was he stepping on? Was he planning on spreading out to include other drugs also? Did he want to be one of the few producers for the newly legal Ohio Medical pot selling? Is that why he had the health care company? Some one took out his whole branch, except the little ones. Is that why they are still endanger? Did KR find out what was going to happen and he had to be eliminated too? Lots of questions, but no answers that I know of.

It is believed that Sykes murder was a message to the family. They took her unborn baby with her. At least HMR was able to have her baby. Why couldn't they have let the new mothers live also?

My opinion is the reason the babies are still absent from family (and this IS MOO).. I think LE knows the "who".. and I think they are keeping the babies safe because the main one who instigated this mass murder is obviously mean, unpredictable, and still walking and driving free. That is my thought.

I do want to jump on something here, was discussed early on. I cannot find it in the threads (if LE even announced it.. I don't know)..ANYWAY..
The cameras. Video cameras that was reported missing from "scenes" (if I recall correctly..). What I am trying to determine, is how many were there and where they were mounted, whose house I mean. I do recall CRSr had one on his garage (or very close on a pole or something..). But it was plural, more than one camera was removed. Perps knew about these and took them. I got a point here, to take it one step further, the cameras MUST HAVE recorded to a remote device which said perps probably removed as well. Why else would they take cameras unless they KNEW they were recording? To me this points to someone who not to awfully long before the murders, knew the family well.
And you know, we have discussed them being on foot. They are going to be carrying stuff they stole, we don't know what, and trying to get in and out asap...I don't see them being on foot.
This is all MOO...
If anyone can recall other places cameras were, or how many there were, I am very curious about that.

From what the witness has said, that seems to be the case. Now, whether "old man" means father, or husband, I don't know. Stykes father said he did not recognize any of the names of people said to be involved. But if this scenario played out once, something similar could play out in the Rhoden/Gilley case. As far why they didn't leave any of them alive, except for the infants, we won't know until they catch them. I suspect it would b/c they would not want to take a chance of anyone left alive, being able to point the finger at them.

Kenny had a camera either above his door or mounted close to his door. I think it would be pretty to see a camera on a camper, even on a well lit nite. From what I get from Leonard talking about Chris's system, it too was probably mounted on the house, within the porch area. We don't know for certain if Frankie or Dana had any security cameras.
I don't believe BJ or Kenny gave anybody information. Could have possibly come from former friends, but I also doubt that. Somebody had obviously done their homework.

This case is taking me over right now. Could satan worshipping be involved? Something BJM said always struck me as odd: she said. "I won't ever see them again until I meet them in heaven or hell." Who says that? I say heaven, but never hell! Or does she know things were being done that were not good in the eyes of the Lord?

Reading BJ's statement, it just sounds very literal and matter-of-fact. Obviously, BJ and the rest of the family hadn't been attending church regularly, and she probably didn't know their relationship with God.

Where the babies are concerned, I don't think that someone would harm them. I think there worried about someone taking off with them. The family is from Ky and there are still places down in the hills you can get lost in. Extended family would help " Once a Rhoden, always a Rhoden" didn't just start in recent generations.

FWIW Paranormal Brothers contacted the Rhoden family on a You Tube video. I do "hear" Kenneth, possibly Dana and CRjr and some yeses and a hi". Wear headphones.

On another video it says the killer is a woman. A voice that sounds like a woman calls her a very obscene female part.

While you can hear stuff, it never comes through clearly. Also, you never get who the killer is. I really don't know how I feel about this stuff.

I'm not so sure it was a professional hit. Well planned, but possibly almost failed, yes. I think they had help, either knowingly, or unknowingly, from family. I don't know how many, but I do think that one of them was one who was murdered, and only b/c that person would have known who did this. I think GR was just in the wrong place at the wrong time, and this was some serious hate directed solely at the CR1 family.

I was wondering if this was going to come up on the thread based on the recent "dig" going on at Nipgen by BCI. I wasn't sure if TOS would allow it to be discussed since the media said "not related" so I avoided posting since it's speculation....
Like so many other things in OH warrants etc sealed. It drives me insane that our state LE authorities believe everything should be classified as sealed.

Where are all the investigators on this website today? I've looked into the Pike Co Auditor's office and found that Mr. Walls owns the land were they were digging and an address of 2817 Morgan Fork Rd. That is right next to the Williams Corner Market off of St Rt. 124 Piketon, Ohio. But it doesn't actually show a parcel of land. Could somebody who is more familiar with pike co, or reading their website help me out here? I know LE said that this was not related to the Rhoden's, but Vance and Chris Sr were friends and did hang out at that Market back in the day.
