I'm glad someone finally noticed both the CH and JR in jail. CH has been there for at least a couple weeks IIRC. Someone else posted a jail link a while back mentioning IJ (I think) or someone else involved with CR Jr. There was also a female H in jail at that time.

Interesting find here. The RSP is a 4th degree Felony in this case, meaning the dollar amount must be considerable (I think over $1500) as opposed to a Misdemeanor RSP. Also had a gun in the car? So I'm thinking this was a traffic stop & arrest? With a wild animal in the car though? Strange.

That obstruction charge could be anything -- including trying to flee or avoid arrest -- or maybe even the hindering of an ongoing murder investigation....

He could have killed a wild animal(s), or live trapped one, out of season, and had it in the car, transporting it back to his home.

No clue about a Sr. Or Jr. I do find it interesting H charged of mishandling a firearm in a vehicle.

.
He may have been hunting, the wildlife he had in his vehicle, and left his firearm loaded.

2923.16(B) No person shall knowingly transport or have a loaded firearm in a motor vehicle in such a manner that the firearm is accessible to the operator or any passenger without leaving the vehicle.

After reading the Ohio Revised Code, that's what I'm thinking too... I doubt he had a pet cheetah in the backseat.

I wonder what the RSP could be. Maybe the vehicle?

Either way, I don't think these charges are relevant to Rhoden case.

I think that case with CAH has already been tried and dismissed. They do not update that arrest board very often, when folks are released. It was back on September 6, when he had a wild turkey and deer parts and a 4th degree felony firearm mishandling and obstructing justice on 9/26. He plead no contest to the deer parts and the turkey. Case was dismissed for the firearm and obstructing justice from 9/26.

http://codes.ohio.gov/orc/2913.51

If the property involved is a motor vehicle, as defined in section 4501.01 of the Revised Code, if the property involved is a dangerous drug, as defined in section 4729.01 of the Revised Code, if the value of the property involved is seven thousand five hundred dollars or more and is less than one hundred fifty thousand dollars, or if the property involved is a firearm or dangerous ordnance, as defined in section 2923.11 of the Revised Code, receiving stolen property is a felony of the fourth degree.

Thanks! Did they drop the RSP F4 also?

He was also charged with obstructing and there is an entry of another obstructing that has a note that is was refiled as a misdemeanor due to improper filing of the original charge. It was dismissed due to special conditions. I don't see any charges for RSP. He was also charged w/possession of ginseng and plead no contest. Maybe he told the arresting officer he bought the deer parts, turkey, and ginseng...

:tyou: Nice to see you back rsd!

Unless I'm looking at a different fella, I got it here;

Ok, so CH is back in Pike County Jail serving his sentence for this case.

I think someone mentioned that the Current Inmates list doesn't get updated, but I believe that they keep it current.

Maybe not a cheetah, but down here there are a lot of hills and woods. You could possibly see a bear, wild boar, bobcat, critters like that anytime. My neighbor seen a coyote a few weeks back in his yard.

Hi trigger! Nice to see you too!

I may be misreading something. It's been known to happen. :shame:Here is what I am seeing:

The charges for the turkey, deer parts, ginseng, and dead deer:

  • 10/03/2016
    • DEF. PLED NO CONTEST, FOUND G, FINE, SUSP
    • JAIL 8, SUSP
    • SPECIAL CONDITIONS:
    • 5 YEARS PROBATION, DEFT IS A SECOND OFFENDER FOR PURPOSES OF SENTENCING,
    • ITEMS SEIZED BY ODNR SHALL BE FORFEITED TO ODNR;
    • DEFT SHALL NOT ENGAGE IN ANY HUNTING;
    • DEFT SHALL NOT POSSESS, SELL, DIG OR HUNT FOR GINSENG

I found the RSP. It, along with Obstructing, and mishandling a firearm, were charged on 9/26.
The mishandling of a firearm was dismissed and his bond forfeited.

  • 10/03/2016
    • CASE DISMISSED.
    • SPECIAL CONDITIONS:
    • BOND FORFEITURE

There are two obstructing justice charges, both have a violation date of 9/25. From what I can gather they messed up one, and charged it wrong on 9/26, then created a new record on 9/28, which last read:

  • 10/03/2016
    • CASE DISMISSED.
    • SPECIAL CONDITIONS:
    • FILED INCORRECTLY - REFILED AS MISDEMEANOR (I think it is going to be presented to the grand jury w/the RSP)

The RSP is shown as:

  • 09/26/2016
    • CASE WAS FILED WITH COURT
    • CASE SET FOR A ARRAIGNMENT ON 09/26/2016 AT 9:00 AM
    • CASE SET FOR A PRELIMINARY ON 10/03/2016 AT 10:00 AM
    • PUBLIC DEFENDER WAIVED.
    • $60,500.00 CASH OR 10% BOND RANDOM DRUG TESTING NO CONTACT
    • WITH ROY PHILLIPS, CHASITY NOBLE, MICHAEL DANNY & BETTY
    • PHILLIPS

  • 10/03/2016
    • CASE DISMISSED.
    • SPECIAL CONDITIONS:
    • CASE DISMISSED TO BE PRESENTED TO GRAND JURY
So, I don't know for sure that he's not in jail, but if he made his bond, and stays away from those folks, and doesn't hunt, and passes his drug tests, then there's a chance that he's out. Those are some tough conditions to follow for some folks though.

I looked up a couple other folks, CJG, for one, and their violation date was 12/8/2016, and they were out prior to the last, listed, court date of 12/14/2016. I think AM is out also, from the way it was worded on the docket. I've found that to be the case, with the sheriff's list, on others I've looked up.

Bear sightings are becoming increasingly common around me.

What does a animal kill and firearms have to do with solving the 8 murdered case?

  • #617
Guess anything is possible, since PCSD has stated they believe Rhoden killers are local...
I think wild animal sightings close to civilization are becoming commonplace. There have been a couple of articles in the Salina paper this month about mountain lion sporting's. Game warden has set up cameras and caught them on tape.

  • #618
I think it is pretty obvious that nothing more, information wise, will be released this year and no arrests will be made this year, if ever...

Could he have had a wolf or a wolf mix in the car? Would that be illegal?
