And, also could someone tell me how to highlight quotes with bold?
Hi All -
Very much a longterm reader and lurker, particularly with this case. I caught something in the obit notices from the one funeral home that struck me~~~ not sure if it's been addressed before or if I'm making too much of nothing.
As all the deceased are listed, beginning with CRSr, they listed "predeceased by..", as is usual in these notices. However, I'm wondering if the family members making the arrangements had info on what order in which the killings took place, hence making DR, for instance, predeceased by her ex, CRSr , as stated in the link here.
If so, this gives us important information I'm pretty sure we've never gotten from the close-mouthed, presumably hard-working LE - the ORDER in which this family was murdered.
Anyone have any thoughts on this??
Thank you for all the intelligent participants on this thread - know that even tho I rarely post, I am with all of you, hard at working wondering what exactly happened to this family..
Here's the funeral home link:

Yep sadly I am local. I can tell you the day Pike County got Reader, I think he was a blessing from above for what was coming. Nice man, and so very devoted to his job. He won the Sheriff election with, thinking 70 % of the vote. Most like him. All I can say at this point (and I don't know much, they keep their knowledge with the higher ups....), but I can tell you this case is very much active, not cold at all. Between LE, BCI, and the Attorney General working together, there will be arrest(s). I don't think real soon, but we won't know until after it happens. Whoever did this, they are flat out dangerous and probably getting paranoid my guess.
I can tell you, I feel uneasy going out, and after dark no way.
Would somebody provide a link to Hannah's aunt's burglary? I missed out on that info. Leads me to think the same way I did when Staci had prowlers. Some nut looking for souvenirs.
I've not been able to read the actual article b/c I don't have a subscription but if anyone local has one, here is the link. I read it from the person's FB page who was burglarized and got their property returned.

Is this Hannah's aunt? I thought hers happened sooner and she lived in Peebles or Rarden, but I sure could be mistaken.
I can't read the article either dang it.
It said arrest made and November 5, can't see anything else. Elm Grove road is not far from the Rhoden area. It runs off 32 headed toward Left Fork Road area. I am real curious who was arrested.... Sounds as though Reader might be watching that area.
Things that make one go hmm... Wow.
I went to pikecountycourt.org and searched for people who were arraigned near this time frame. Came up with 2 people charged with Burglary and Breaking and entering-- both arrested on November 5th. Neither of these names ring a bell. Here are the case numbers.

:Welcome1:New to the forum and Websleuths and have for the past several days reviewed the various posts. Since I live in an adjacent county ( Ross ), this and the missing women of Chillicothe intrigue me. Had I known of this, I've have been on it sooner.
I am retired from sales and we were trained to keep it simple stupid ( KISS ) and my speculation about this heinous crime is very simple.
1) IMO, KR was the first victim. It was stated by one person on this forum that KR felt comfortable enough with the perp to go to bed possibly with the person in the small camper chilling. Interestingly, the autopsy regarding the skull is redacted. Was he struck and then shot? The dog present had to be restrained when LE arrived the next day. Therefore, it must be concluded that the individual(s) were known to the pit bull. The toxicology report is redacted entirely as it is with all the victims. This is interesting of itself. My suggestion is this happened much earlier then the suggested 1 a.m. attack on the other family members. There is a distance of 10-15 miles that separate the scenes. Travel time must be accounted for.
2) DR residence. Once more, the autopsy does not reveal much regarding the skulls. However, CR2 (junior) autopsy says "there is (redacted) fracture" regarding the skull. In DR's aurtopsy a "subgaleal hemorrhage ( hematoma ) of (redacted)" is mentioned. Again, was Cr2 (junior) and DR struck and then shot before the perps went on to HR?
This same scenario is played out in the home of FR and HG with the skull autopsies redacted fully. It is known that HG was shot excessively, namely 5 times.
3) At the CR2 ( senior ) and GR residence, that is where violence broke out. CR2's vertebrae were fractured according to the autopsy. This would be the result of a rather severe beating.
My theory as to motive follows what others have posted. We know that one or two of the households were at or slightly above or below the poverty line. In the 3 residences there is quite a few mouths to feed and clothe namely 2 infants, 1 toddler, 1 teen boy, 2 young adult women, 1 young adult male, 3 adults ( 2 men, 1 woman ). That's a lot to fend for. So, like many in Appalachia from Perry county on down, marijuana becomes a supplement cash crop. They begin a small grow op.
Somehow, CR2. the brains, comes into some knowledge about "something" and that something remains unknown. Likely, that "something" was criminal in nature. We know CR2 conflicted with others and could be rather bully-ish. Did he try to bully the people he had info on? Good question. If he did, others ( I'll call them X ) knew he needed to be silenced and used other parties ( friends? relatives? ) familiar with the households to gain access.
KR's murder would then be an "example" for others to keep quiet. He had withdrawn from his brother and was living some distance away. However, if he had added 2+2 and that raised his suspicions hence the almost paranoid behavior commented on in this forum. His was the example of " not to know or guess too much ".
It's interesting that DeWine stated that the investigation uncovered " criminal activity " in Pike county that was previously unknown. He did not state what that activity was.
JMO, there's another factor missing. I do not think that custody or paternity is the basis of this awful deed. Like a novel, it may be a secondary story line. I think an unknown person or group of persons used a malcontent friend or family member to do this. It was too well planned and executed. More is going on than meets the eye and I would feel better once this crime and the missing women in Chillicothe is solved.
Sorry for the long post.

Apologies if this has already been posted. No new news, but an article.

A spokesman said DeWine believes at least one of the people involved was from the area, as someone had to be familiar with the properties where the slayings took place.
But authorities said the investigation into the case has been hindered by people who have been less than forthright with officers.
"They're either scared of being a target or a victim,'' Reader said. "Some might fear incriminating themselves in some other type of criminal activity. And some are not being entirely truthful.''
