And one more thing (not trying to snarky, but serious). What makes anyone think there might have been or could be a 9th and 10th victim? As opposed to a 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th, etc. victim. I'm sure it was just "a way of saying" that there could have been more victims, but, I guess sometimes I look too hard at too many details.

Probably not the best one to answer this question, but if I remember correctly, more than one family member's plans for that night changed without notice. For me, I'd be thinking "they're going to come back and kill me."

I think the killers had a problem with the cockfighting, the marijuana, and the racing. It really bothered them that a new generation was being born and raised in the same environment.

DS claimed he was supposed to spend the night at KR to work on cars the next morning. Had he ever stated why he didn't stay?

The oldest son of FR wasn't supposed to be there. IIRC, the mother dropped him off because she said the daycare was closing that Friday because of an illness going around.

KR's daughter was supposed to stay with HR to help with the baby.

Now, I don't think KR's daughter is involved in any way, but who knows? I seem to remember (and correct me if I'm wrong) that a couple of different reasons were given as to why she didn't stay. And maybe it was either misreported or maybe I confused it with others. But, this is what I seem to recall.

1. Didn't stay because her dad found a babysitting job and she needed the money.
2. She just continued to drive down the highway after work and passed up the road and decided to keep going.
3. Her boyfriend was in the car and had a tooth ache.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Dare I say this? Could DR have been the victim? She and CRsr wrote letters on his behalf. If I recall correctly, the victim was a minor at the time of the offense. And I think was an adult at the time of the accusation/arrest, for a lack of better wording. And dare I say this, too... could HR have been his daughter? All just speculation/theory... but if that were the case, then the only reason that I could think of for this crime would be if *you know what* was going on in the family. Not going that far, just think about it a minute and you should be able to figure it out.

This case has been on my mind a lot lately. Maybe it's just because the holidays are over and things have gotten back to normal here. But, I think it's also because someone here thinks that the sheriff led them to believe that the sheriff thinks this is deeper than drugs. And to me, THAT would be much deeper than drugs.

BTW, (and I will go back to see who made the comment to try to get more info) can anyone quote what the sheriff stated that led to the belief of this being "deeper than drugs"?

It's quite a speculation to make. What facts do we have? What do we know of the victim of this older crime ? What is the link with this case? I am not sure to see it. Apart from saying that history could repeat itself, but frankly I would not be so sure.

Kendra, KR daughter, has said she was offered a babysitting job and needed the money,the boyfriend with a tooth ache has only came to light lately.
The one that chose to keep on driving after work was Hannah Gilley's sister. She had her bag in the car with intentions to sleep over,but changed her mind.

From what I've read her AND the bf were following HR back to Hannas house and they all of a sudden did a U turn and then called HR to say she couldn't come after all. I think it was due to a toothache and a babysitting job. According to her. I'll try to find the link.

DS supposedly stayed out all night drinking, I've even read he slept outside but this may be a rumor.

I quoted him incorrectly, but, cartel is pretty much ruled out, he states that he feels it's local, and it's much bigger than a couple of stolen cars on the property or a couple of indoor grows. (loosely quoting)

No, and he'd not been in that house since his father had passed, iirc, even though KR had lived there, but had moved out, and to Left Fork, leaving the option for him to ask KR if it was there or could they look for it, or look for it after KR moved out, both options being well before this day that the reporter was with him.

It's not been said, but, I've thought that she may have seen FR's ex's car at the trailer, and decided to go on home. The ex came by to drop the toddler off, and stayed until around 10:30 p.m.
