I walked up to the foot of the bed, I raised my head up and I looked. I saw blood in his eyes, and I knew then he was dead."

http://www.wlwt.com/article/cousin-...ounts-grisly-discovery-at-crime-scene/3565187

In a camper like Kenneth's there is a top bunk, (bed) usually double, I grew up camping and we had one, Donald said he looked up so that tells me that Kenneth was in the bed, (top bunk. I have a hard time thinking that you would let someone in and get back in bed, (top bunk). That is why I think he could have been shot through the window. There is normally at least two windows in the top bunk area, one small one on each side, head and feet area.

It's not hard or impossible for a bullet to go though glass, and IIRC the weather good that evening, so it's possible/and even probable that the window were open in the top bunk area. jmo

Good point about the location of the bed

If the gun is really missing or if money was really spread at his feet, I would say the killer went in.

The door to his camper was unlocked. It's possible that either:
- KR came down to open the door. I agree it's unlikely he went up there.
- Door was unlocked or killer had key.

In either case, it means killer was comfortable with dog which was found inside. Otherwise the killer would have shot the dog.

I would speculate that the dog was spared for the same reason children were. The killer probably knew and liked the dog. I think it could say something about the killer.

It's consistent with the view that killers knew the victims, their homes and their routines.

Do we know how old is Brownie, KR's ferocious dog?

This kind of belies Sheriff Reader's insistence that he isn't interested in any other criminal activity, but just wanted to catch the killers. I can see where this statement would hinder the investigation. I think anyone who might have been thinking about coming forward will not do so now for fear of arrest. That statement by AG DeWine's office defeats the purpose as far as getting people to talk.

Respectfully disagree. Reader said for folks to "come in" or they would be making arrests.

Maybe, someone spent the night and let the killers in? No forced entry, would be needed, dogs would be taken care of. No noise of getting into homes. Could get keys to other homes. I think someone was spending the night with KR.
Could it have been this Josh Rhoden? I did a google map search and it's only 6.4 miles to UHR from grassy fork rd. Which is a back road and only takes 12 minutes to travel. That would be a "fast get-away" from the scene.

I find it strange the Pike county jail site is down for maintenance the length of time that it has been. I checked yesterday AM it was down and still is. A couple times before the maintenance screen has came up but only for 30 to 60 mins. Just makes me go hmmmm

Thanks. I skipped around and stumbled on it--forgot to note the time though.

Sure made it sound like they did shrink wrap the mobile homes. As someone mentioned upstream shrink wrap makes no sense.

If they have them sealed up real good, I'd hate to have to enter one after a while like that. The stench would be terrible...

"Be careful"

Seems like an odd thing to say when leaving someone's home. I usually say that to someone who is about to travel or enter into a questionable situation.

My daughter says that to me every time I leave her house. Be careful going home...

Chelsie has always talked about Hannah in a nice way. After she and Frankie began dating, I'm assuming he introduced them early on, wanting Chelsie to know B would be cared for and treated well by the new girlfriend.
The comment about a bill, or paper Charlie didn't want the public to see has been guesstimated to be an exterminators paperwork, possibly dealing with bed bugs. I don't think anybody is for certain on that, tho.

P.S. I don't think Brownie's age has ever been mentioned. I think I read someplace he adopted her from a shelter. Don't bet any money on that statement, tho! But I think that's what I read.

P.S. I don't think anybody has talked about Brownie's age. Bu

Bed bugs. Interesting.

Thank you. I couldn't find the bill anywhere, even though Reader said "it's there for everyone to see." I assume channel 19 didn't release it.

Idk

I think it would depend on who it was and how late it was and why they were there.

If it was close family and late at night KR may have gotten up to open the door then went back to bed since he was supposed to get up early the next morning.

I am not saying this very well, but say it was a brother, nephew, cousin ect. someone who he was used to letting in at all hours, and he had already gone to bed for the night, he may have just went back and lay down in the bed.

For example if someone like my grandkids, son, siblings, ect knocked on my door at 3:00 AM after I had already went to bed, I would probably open the door, then go get back into bed while they stated the reason they were there that late at night.

That is assuming that it wasn't an emergency. I would get up and get dressed then.

But if it was early enough that I had not gone to bed yet, then I would have let them in and stayed in the living room to talk.

I say this because years ago when my younger brother would stay out too late and he didn't want to go home and face the music, so he would knock on my door and I would get up and let him in, then go back to bed.

Another thing is if he had expected that person to be there that night. As in "Hey I need to stay the night but I got to take care of something first so I'll be over late tonight".

Or someone who calls very late at night and asks to come over and stay the night as in "Hey me and my GF got into a fight and she kicked me out so can I stay at your place tonight."

Sorry for so many examples. That is the only way I can explain what I mean. It's been a really long day and I am too tired to think.

Josh Lee Rhoden, son of William Rhoden, youngest brother of Clarence Rhoden. 1st cousin of Chris Rhoden senior.

If he was Clarence's brother, wouldn't he be an uncle to KR and CRSr? I'm confused.

Oops never mind. I got it. Had read it wrong!

Remember, the camper door had a padlock on the outside that was unlocked. it would have been impossible for him to lock it from the inside. He either slept with the door unlocked (and with the dog inside for protection) or it had some sort of small lock inside.

Also, don't camper doors usually swing open to the outside of the camper, not towards the interior?

FOLLOWING HANNA: This was published in october, 5 months after.

April 21, Kendra Rhoden and her boyfriend were driving down Highway 32, following behind Hanna Rhoden and her red Jeep. The two Rhoden cousins were headed to Hanna’s house for a sleepover.*
....
Kendra’s boyfriend developed a toothache and the pair turned around on Highway 32 and headed back to Kendra’s house - clear across the county.

http://m.fox19.com/fox19/pm_/contentdetail.htm?contentguid=od:8ttSkgGS

The first question that comes to mind: Was she caught on a road camera following HR?

LE have been looking for camera footage. It's fair to assume they found some and would interview anyone who followed the victims.

My opinion is Mr Jody Barr did an incomplete job with this news report:

Why release the Hwy 32 tidbit 5 months after? Why focus on the highway part? Was she trying to make a point on something?

Did she speak to her cousin after to explain why she turned around? HR was expecting her home and would worry not seing her. What were her last words? isn't worth to be in the story? I would expect more about their last face-to-face or phone contact.

I wish a speedy recovery to the boyfriend with the obviously painful toothache. Was he supposed to sleep over too or just drop her at HR? Who is he and when do we get to hear his story?

bbm, yes.

DS was also suppose to be arriving the evening/night before DS found Kenneth. Possible Kenneth left the door unlocked assuming he would be arriving soon. All someone had to do was open the door and shoot, maybe it was enough time for Kenneth to go for his weapon, possible in the top bunk bed area. Maybe the first shot was to Kenneth buttocks and spayed the money from his person, then the second shot was to the head. idk jmo so many possibilities.

Kenny had only one shot to the eye. There were no reports of a stray bullet being found.
I would think that Kendra's BF was interviewed early on. Maybe we never learned his name because he was ruled out as a suspect or witness early on.
The cousin Josh and his friend have that look about them that makes me wonder if they both have, or have had a drinking problem for a long period of their lives. Being a nurse, things like that are pretty easy to spot.

Yes I forgot about the one (1) shot to the head.

I'm not a nurse, after seeing their mugshots I'd say more drugs then alcohol.jmo
