The autopsy report for Christopher Rhoden, Sr., said he was shot in the head, torso and extremities. The report does not specify if he was shot in the arms or the legs or both. It does indicate fractures to his skull and vertebra, but what that means is not entirely clear.

http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation-now/2016/09/23/pike-county-ohio-killings/90923772/

Dana Rhoden was shot in the head and in the neck, according to the report.

Gary Rhoden's autopsy report also indicates his skull was fractured.

Days after the slayings, that office said all but one of the victims were shot multiple times. Neither that office nor the redacted reports list by name how many times each victim was shot, except for Kenneth Rhoden. He was shot once in the head.

some but not all.

ah jeez... i think i came across an article today that mentioned he had been shot in the leg. I'm sorry. I'm not going back to look for it... Nothing toward you, it's just that this case is about to drive me crazy.

Re: SR quote.

Kendra R seems also comfortable when she says "They aren't family". Who could say this openly of another family that would be under suspicion. I can't imagine how they would feel.

Especially of a killer that murdered 8.

I remember the court decision: "The Court believes the danger of harm to the children is not reduced by the passage of time" and Reader's comment about a 9th victim.

It looks to me, a lot of people are scared of the killer but she is not. I don't know what it means.

.
I would not have implied that family was responsible, however, she is a former in-law. Also, my guess is that she feels she can take care of herself. If I were living there, and had any connection to that family, I'd have an equalizer with me at all times.

bbm I thought he was the one that took shots to his extremities.

CR1 did take shots to his extremities. He could have had his hands out, coming at the intruder. I don't feel like CR1 was the kind of man that would have just hidden in a closet if he heard someone breaking in. He may have even thought it was GR coming in late, and surprised them, then just tried to tackle them, since he had no firearm handy. The head shots were to ensure that he was dead, just like the others. He was shot six times to the torso. That's someone going for stopping shots. They knew where to shoot.

Victim #1 – Single Gunshot Wound -- KR
Victim #2 – 2 Gunshot Wounds
Victim #3 – 3 Gunshot Wounds--GR
Victim #4 – 3 Gunshot Wounds
Victim #5 – 4 Gunshot Wounds
Victim #6 – 5 Gunshot Wounds--HG
Victim #7 – 5 Gunshot Wounds
Victim #8 – 9 Gunshot Wounds--CR1
*Total of 32 gunshot wounds between the 8 victims.

Seriously... i must be losing my mind. Wasn't there a video interview with Kendra and her mother? Or just a printed version that included a photo of the two? (Note to self: do not start following cases unless you are going to print/save/download every single thing when it's released) I need to make a library for myself.

.
If it is there, I can't find it yet. Here is the article and it appears to read as if there was a previous interview in June where they voiced the same thoughts, however, I can't find it yet. I've got so much stuff , but the title doesn't tell me what I'm looking for. I need to label this stuff as as to why I kept it. :gaah:

They were shot a total of 32 times, mostly in the head. Manley said his daughter Dana was shot in the head five times.

I struggle with this:

DeWine’s office would only say that there were at least two killers and at least one of them was familiar with the property.

I am looking for two nuts. Please help me.

A dispute among family members forced GoFundMe to refund $8,220 raised to pay for the funeral for Dana and her children, he said.
I mean, how much dispute could there be? It was burial funds for DR and the kids. I truly see this as a family who has quite a bit of division, on the Manly and Rhoden sides. Before the murders, and after.

Thanks. I had not seen it. Weird. I need to sleep on this one.

They said that most of the others were said to have been in bed. CR1 was not though. Neither was GR.

And that's why they were shot more than others - they were trying to fight the attackers. That was kind of clear from early news media reports. Others who were asleep weren't shot as many times.

HG's mother stated
"Carver said Hannah was shot five times in the head."

We've accounted for 23 shots. That leaves nine shots between, CR2, HR, and FR. BJM said that it looked like FR had a black eye, which has always made me lean toward him being shot in, or near, the eye, and they shot him at very close range, which left tattooing. Just a guess, but I think that the majority of these folks were shot at a range of 6-10 inches, and maybe even less than that on some. We don't get much info from the autopsies but BJM's statement, along with FR &HG being found in bed, with the baby no less, and a toddler in the next room, leads me to believe that they were asleep (or awoke, for a split second, in confusion). No signs of forced entry at any location.

BBM. Wow:

>>>snip

“Jody Barr (Fox 19) of Channel 19 doesn’t know how to report the truth,” Pike County Sheriff Charles Reader said...

<<<snip

Ouch.

Yes, Reader comes off petty and unprofessional here. Not sure what Reader expects from the news media when they've locked down all information about the case and revealed very few details to the media and public. And still haven't caught the killers.

If Reader is so certain who the killers are, why is he so hostile to anyone asking questions? The level of secrecy about this crime is abnormal. Local and state LE haven't shown much respect for the community at large. All they've done is refuse to answer questions while tossing insults, veiled accusations and threats at the community while offering no reassurance or protection. It's as if Reader and DeWine think the entire community is guilty of a crime and deserve disrespectful treatment, ironic considering the horrible problems local LE has experienced in the recent past. I can't recall another case in recent memory when LE has treated a local community so poorly. I feel sorry for the people who have to live in this county. Their public officials don't seem to be very nice people, they deserve better.

Was that comment in the article deleted, or am I losing it? I can't find it--google leads back to WS.

[h=3]Court filing seeks fines against Pike Co. sheriff connected to Rhoden warehouse raid[/h]
http://www.fox19.com/story/34401956...co-sheriff-connected-to-rhoden-warehouse-raid

Posted by Jody Barr, Investigative Reporter

Monday night’s raid of the warehouse that holds the Rhoden crime scene evidence was supposed to have happened in November. Court filings show it never did.

And, for the next 82 days, court records show Pike County Sheriff Charlie Reader “has neglected or refused to execute the Writ, has not returned an inventory of personal property levied upon or tagged, and/or returned any money collected or received therefrom,” a Jan. 25, 2017 filing shows.

There is a video on Jody Barr's FB page that has Kendra and her mother speaking. I'm in the process of trying to find his other videos but our internet is slow.

If LE or undercover operations would be exposed, they would have to keep everything a secret. I don't know there would be any other reason to keep it quiet...

That goes without saying, but the secrecy involved in this case is a little overboard. It also doesn't justify the apparent contempt local LE has for the taxpayers in the community or the news media. The news media knows they have a legitimate complaint as their lawsuit has gone all the way to the Ohio Supreme Court. They've covered more than a few murder investigations over the course of their careers, so it's safe to assume they know when LE secrecy is excessive and against the public interest.

Now we have the latest news coming out about the apparent GOB network in Pike County that has allowed Reader and county prosecutor Junk to delay carrying out a Writ of Possession at the financially troubled drug manufacturing company where county taxpayers are funding the ongoing cost of storing evidence from the Rhoden family. This is the same drug manufacturing company whose owner was able to secure a business grant from Pike County taxpayers with the help of local and state politicians. According to the lawsuits filed against these drug manufacturing companies, the company is having financial troubles and the money of investors and taxpayers is missing. The next thing you know, we'll find out the Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation invested money in Hasdell/Relevant, too (that's an inside joke for Ohioans).

This investigation needs intervention from law enforcement outside of Ohio. Somehow the Rhoden case is tied up in this mess.
