It was crazy how they did the press conference and said they would not confirm anything to jeopardize the investigation end the presser walk off then came back and confirmed there was a large scale grow op. News crews had cut away and missed it by the time they came back. So I'm not telling you anything, I'm not speculating or feeding into wild theories or answering any questions. By the way the family was running a large scale grow op in 3 locations. Really? Have we had as solid of a conformation about anything else in this case?

Confrontation on what else?

Other things I find odd. I've never paid much attention to any of the family in the media (interviewing and such) as a suspect. Except DS the 911 call the whole KR being found later everything about him and that has seemed funny to me since day one.

I agree with you. We haven't paid enough attention

I think they honestly released it to take public pressure off the case. A lot of everyday people heard drugs and accepted that. National coverage went away rewards went away. If there was no explanation given or anything indicated criminal activity, I feel a lot more of public in general would be involved/interested. I live in Pittsburgh which isn't extremely far. A lot of family's used to migrate up and down the river. I have family within an hour of where this happened. I haven't heard or seen anything in a very long time probably a month in. I may have missed something at some point, unless your on here it's all but forgotten except in that immediate region. Well I guess Ohio papers and news still mention it.

This is what confused me, Dewine knew about the grow op when Rudy called to make the offer of the reward, if a drug cartel was rudy's concern why didn't dewine tell him then. IDK

Attorney General Mike DeWine said Cincinnati-area businessman Jeff Ruby offered up the reward for information leading to those responsible for the multiple homicides, Fox News reported.

Ruby reached out to Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine, with assistance from Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters, to offer the reward.

basically the only thing LE has told the public about the case that we couldn't see for ourselves was there was a grow op and they were all shot/killed execution style, mostly all while sleeping. Obviously other stuff like they interviewed a bunch of people and things expected in a murder case.

O and basically confirming they have nothing by asking anyone who had surveillance in the area to provide it and admitting they are asking people for information during routine traffic stops. Haha really? So I'd say if this is where we are at with 8 people in 4 locations killed in one night after almost a year, with the likes of the FBI, homeland security, DEA, the whole BCI and whoever else was involved that this could be the most sophisticated killing ever?

Just a suggestion based on nothing but my thoughts. What about counterfeiting ? I don't think it's ever been brought up. I mean what's better motive for killing 8 people than money that doesn't run out?

I don't see killing 8 people over any amount of money personally. Or if one individual did something personal to me. This would have to over a kid and everyone dead involved. Or perhaps they where going to spill the beans and jeopardize someone's freedom, but they all would have to be in on it and know. That helps explain the kids being left behind they weren't old enough to be involved in family politics.

Regarding the KR situation, have you seen the Jody Barr reports.

I never really understood the rationale for the story. As a viewer, I need to be convinced with words and body language when someone is interviewed

Which ones?

News reports are hard. Some of them will do anything. Report false information to be early. Pay for interviews and edit to their taste.

Why was it done? What was the point? How does it help the investigation.

It seems to me the evidence warehouse story was counterproductive to the investigation. Charlie Reader reacted to it quite strongly.

I guess to help to keep pressure on LE to continue on the investigation. Seems like they became upset with how LE was handling the case as time passed.

It also seems odd of how surprised LE seems to be by all other criminal activities revealed by the killings. Like are these the most naive LEO of all time? You found 8 family members in 4 locations in the hills of Appalachia dead in their beds and didn't think it would open Pandora's box?

It also seems like whatever they were doing was happening someplace else. If they were selling a bunch of drugs local or doing anything on the scale LE seems to imply in that small of a place a lot of people would be saying a lot more. Even the family, the way they talked about it just seems quite. I wouldn't want to talk about it if I was family, but I don't think they avoided the weed or acted super weird. They all denied it or shrugged it off as small (as far as family). DS said 1 tray. KRs daughter denied seeing royalties from it. LM denied knowing anything. If 8 of my family members were dead and I knew they were growing weed I would either say what I knew and if I felt it had any thing to with their deaths. After all LE confirmed it and their dead so it doesn't matter. Maybe that's what LE means when they say people haven't been honest with them.

I have thought of counterfeit money, possibly the money that supposedly was strewn around Kenneth, ( if even true) was. He could of paid someone with it and they found out it was bogus. They also could have been using it at the auctions, just a thought.IMO

Here are my three theories, because I can't believe this could be pulled off by a hillbilly family member without leaving evidence:

1) Drug organization.
2) Related to the racial tensions CRjr had brought the family into, causing fights, Facebook threats, etc.
3) Family was under fire for recent restraining order issue and motorcycle gang executed them as retaliation.

I also am still wondering what in the heck ever happened to Billy Harper.

I do believe secret service handles currency and they are about the only agency I haven't heard having been involved. So my initial thought on this is probably far fetched.

Motive is so hard to speculate. I feel like I'm trying to determine the value of life that someone who would kill 8 people holds. This is just so crazy and bazaar to me.

I can see things they are accused of being involved in being responsible for anyone's death individually. Or even 3 people or something but all of them. Like FR has beef at the derby why go kill his uncle miles away and the rest of his family. I see to many casualties in to many locations for that angle. Roosters and/or/if dog fighting. Even the weed if it was CRsr and GR and KR or FR whatever combo and with FR HG just being a casualty. Or if CRsr lived with DR and the kids and they where casualties of being there. Or even if it was FR and CRjr as targets I don't think the rest of the casualties add up. I mean mothers nursing babies, new borns, just the manner you would have to be absolutely ruthless and pretty arrogant I might add to do something like this. Or completely enraged by what this family did/was doing. Though I find it hard for accomplices to be on the exact same page with any rage theories.

I find that working with, the process of elimination helps to keep unrelated thinks out of the mix. Just wish the media that reported the dive team headed to pike co. from franklin co did there job by asking instead of just going by what they saw. jmo

"In addition, the state fire marshal’s office helped in the investigation, and the Franklin County dive team came from Columbus to, among other things, run special cameras down into wells to look for evidence."
