With HR, I see she and her first child's father as having a fairly good working relationship. He doesn't seem to be a man of means but he does take care of his child. HR had sent CG the ultrasound pic w/the date of the ultrasound and her LMP. That would give a pretty specific time of conception. (Ultrasounds are scary accurate these days. One of my grandkids was born on the due date and another within a couple hours after the due date.) Did she send it to taunt him? Or did she send it to show him to prove that the baby could very well be his? He seemed to warm to the idea of being a father. There's only a very short window of time that she could have conceived. Did the third possibility see that ultrasound, posted on CG's FB wall, and think, OH %^$#/!!! My life is over as I know it!!! ??

I am not comfortable in discussing the direct involvement of specific individuals in speculative theories.

But I will say this:

1) Read carefully every words of scenarios A and B. I thought through that post. It was on a backburner

2) Have a quick look at my first post of thread 24 just to expand your thinking. I posted these 2 stories for a reason.

3) Then consider the witness accounts:

I) Those who discovered bodies
Ii) Those who changed their plans
Iii) Those who first responded

And maybe, if you think at the unthinkable, you will see something .... or maybe not

Hi guys. I have removed some off topic posts about religion. Nobody has been disrespectful or rude. It is just off topic and broad religious discussion is discouraged at Websleuths because it can go sideways fast. It ididn't here but rules are rules.

I want you to know you have been a truly great group discussing this difficult case. When members have nothing new to chew on and go round and round examining the same minimal facts for a long while things can get heated easily. You have been given almost no new info in months and months. I know how hard that is. You have discussed theories and examined the facts every way to Sunday and done so respectfully. I so appreciate that. You have no idea how much.

This conversation could easily be a poostorm of crazy bickering. But it is not and you are the reason. You police yourselves and continue to be devoted to seeing this one resolved.

Just wanted to let you know why some stuff is missing and that I truly appreciate how you have handled yourselves in here.

:loveyou:

tlcya.

Thank you tlcya. I took note of the rules.

Regarding the lack of new informations. With LE insisting "people are not being candid", my opinion is it will be a lot harder for journalists to interview family. We will have to wait for arrests or reports of court proceedings.

Nonetheless there is plenty of material out there and I feel there are some angles we don't dare to cover extensively for various reasons. I respect that.

Please keep it open even if you feel it's going in circle. Because I have a feeling, the day arrests are made, the nation will be shocked and people are going to be looking for answers.

Good luck (not snark, serious).

When it was posted here several months ago and I doubted it, I took it upon myself to search for such a comment.

I spent many hours researching and still didn't find anything.

The closest I found was that it wasn't spur of the moment, but no indication it was planned for a year.

OK. Good point. I retract the comment "in planning for about a year" until I find something more accurate on the planning.

Sheriff Reader gave a lenghty interview in his office a few months ago. I would like to highlights some comments.

Could you tell me please where it was published ?

I had wondered if there'd maybe been some division between he and CR1. From what I can tell, he was at UHR in 2010-2013 and I think he moved not long before the murders. I cannot place where I read that though. I'm brain dead right now. I pulled up maps and the same trucks were parked in front of the yellow house too (different positions).

If DR was living on the property that KR lived on a few weeks prior to the murders, that could possibly explain why KR was killed. Maybe they went to that address looking for DR?

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong. Years ago, when legalizing pot was unheard of, Texas laws changed for possession. This was in the mid 80's, and possession of less than one oz was considered a misdemeanor. Anything over that was a felony. To my knowledge, that still stands. I don't really think Tex will ever legalize pot. I really don't believe it should be anywhere, but I know alot of people would beg to differ with me!
I do remember AG Mike saying something about the long-term planning of these murders early on in a presser. He certainly be on the right track, stating they were cold and methodical. Will try to find it sometime today. Have had a really crazy week, and a 3yrvold grandbaby! Things should slow down now!

BBM1 Yes, there is a lot of stuff that TOS prevents discussing

BBM2 Even with no new news for all these months this thread remains open because you, the members, continue to respect those TOS and don't go there and don't turn on one another in frustration.

That is why I wanted to be sure to acknowledge

a) it is not easy; and
b) the members have made it possible.

“I will say that I have met with the attorney general, his staff, my staff assigned to the investigation, and the family in the past weeks. I feel strongly that the case is going in the right direction. I would like to urge anyone withholding any information to come forward. I have made it clear that anyone who has lied to investigators or has purposefully mislead them in any manner in this case will be arrested and charged accordingly. The search for killers is my top priority. We are not investigating any one for criminal activity that they feel may incriminate themselves on in speaking with them to solve 8 murders. Come forward, be truthful, or we will be coming to arrest and charge anyone that are obstructing any officials investigating this horrific crime.”

[...]

“Including family, friends and neighbors of the victims, if necessary. This case will be solved, we are working for the 8 victims of murder. Anyone that has or attempts, to delay, hamper, or mislead authorities in any fashion will be charged and arrested. Period.”

But the killers in the Rhoden case, he said, shouldn't think that anything will distract him or his detectives: "Tell the killers this: We're coming for you." http://www.dispatch.com/content/stories/local/2016/12/28/pike-county-sheriff-sworn-in.html

“I can consider everyone a suspect now, but to me there is no indication that the Mexican drug cartel was involved in this homicide,” Sheriff Reader told media outlets

[...]

“I'm not after a guy that's selling joints. I'm not after that guy,” Reader said. “I'm after individuals who in a manner of planning very well planned out. Very methodical. Entered dwellings of this family and absolutely murdered them in a fashion that regardless of what anybody ever has done, would not deserve that."

[...]

“People want answers,” Reader said. “The only answer I can give you is we work on it every day.” http://www.wsaz.com/content/news/Re...lers-of-Ohio-family-were-local-397348231.html

Dudley, that is CRsr's sister's husband.

Sometime back I remember his name was brought up as the person who CR1 bought DR's new home from.

Yes. I will do that. But let me start by outlining the ideas in the right order. It will take a few days. Let's start with this:

Is it fair to assume this family had a bad reputation with at least part of the community?*

- their land was a car cemetary
- the grand father was a sex offender
- teenage pregnancy was the norm
- they threatened and fought occasionnally
- they stopped attending their church
- they welcomed a drug addict in their home

...and they chose to raise their children in this environment? Personnally, I would have alerted Child Services.

I had a feeling that lack of consideration and even hate transpired from the "Hazlitt" story.* I am not saying they deserved. I am saying hate could have been a factor.

.
I've been chewing on this, combined w/your first post of the thread, this morning. If you've got any further tidbits, I'm all ears. .

.
DR lived on the property down the road from KR (I think). I was just thinking, and it seems this case is filled with coincidences so this probably means nothing, but it seems a lot of folks moved off of the main homestead (4077 UHR) within just a few weeks of the murders. The fella who now lives above where KR lived, moved from FR's to above KR. KR moved from the yellow house, to the camper, and DR and the kids moved to the trailer up the road. DR's move alone would make one think that some cash had come into the family. KR's camper was not there in previous map flyovers. The old one on the property was there. I tend to think his was new (or new to him). DR's was new to her. Maybe they'd just sold a crop? Idk, it just seems odd that it seems they all moved just a little bit before they were killed. Almost four weeks to the day for DR and the kids. I'd think if they were going to get them, it'd been easier to get them all at the 4077 address, before the moves. However, if we look at the theory that they waited for HR's baby, that could be why they didn't.

No. Same office though. Much longer. Above 20 minutes. And earlier. It must have been around August or September.
If I remember well, he said in it something

"This wasn't done for a few stolen vehicle or pot. It was much bigger than this."

Something like this. Most probably different words. I'll search in previous threads

It wasn't b'c they had a couple little indoor grows or a couple cars on the property that may have been stolen, it's much bigger than that.

It's not 20 minutes though and interviews LM too.

Please someone help me find Dewine's comment regarding the long planning phase

I think it was in a video. I haven't been able to find it. Like so much other stuff, I think it "mysteriously" disappeared.
