OH - Pike County: 8 people from one family dead as police hunt for killer(s) - #24

JMO. But I think the killers drove right up the road did whatever they did and drove right back down it. I hunt and study google maps constantly. Looking at this highway to houses is likely hours in daylight. It doesn't look like much on the map but it's a whole lot bigger than it looks. So taking recording equipment maybe anything else they looted plus going to 3 locations they weren't playing around with horses quads or trails through the woods. Seal team six coming through the woods with night vision on horses and quads sounds great and I'd love to believe that's what it would take for this to happen but highly doubt it. I don't know who wants to say what but from everything it really seems like no one noticed anything abnormal that night out there.

What sticks out about CRsr and GR being dragged through the house? Are you thinking they were not killed at the house?

Iron City..allegedly they were dragged from the living room to the bedroom. I believe it was in the 911 call.

She saw a “bunch of blood in the front room,’’ and what looked like drag marks in blood from there to a back bedroom.

“I yelled Rhoden! Rhoden! Rhoden!’’ she recalled, and ran to Chris Rhoden's bedroom.

That's where she saw Gary Rhoden, 38, lying on his back. Dead. Just up from his body, she saw a bloodied Chris Rhoden, also on his back. He was dead, as well.

Chris and Gary Rhoden were cousins.

She said she did not see any guns or shell casings in the trailer, but did notice a window in a bedroom was wide open.

IDK I lean towards the entry to CR1's trailer through the window, because they were sleeping in separate rooms, one in the bedroom and one on the couch in the living room, that caused the problem for them to have to enter that one trailer. No shell casings? Brass catcher?I just have a feeling that they were shot through the windows, and that is why the windows were boarded up. jmo Just thinking out of the box, trying to make sense of what doesn't make sense. jmo

She likely just didn't see any shell casings. GR's father said that two, of different types, were found at that scene. She just wasn't looking. She also didn't say until later that CR1 was covered, and in the 911 call she mentions GR like an afterthought.

Most likely 2 perps at CRs. CR and GR were there, we don't know if they were asleep when their "guests" arrived, seems they were up once things started happening. I hear trailer locks are easy to get in, they MAY have been let in, we just dont know.
I guess the guests wanted to be concealed as long as possible. To me, I think they came in the door. Faster and quiter, especially they were apparently known by dogs.

If Chris and Gary were drug thru the house several hours later, there wouldn't have been "that much blood" in the hallway. Furthermore, lividity would have already taken place, and the autopsy compared to crime scene photos would have stuck out like a sore thumb.

Dragging dead weight is not something that just everyone knows how to do, or can do. CR weighed 232 pounds, andGR weighed 211.5 pounds. That is a lot for one person to handle unless they know how to do it properly. One thing that's crossed my mind is that all of the others, from what we know, were found in their bedrooms. I wonder if they wanted CR1, and GR, found in a bedroom too? There were no front windows in CR1's trailer. There was "blood all over the front room" per BJM, so if someone did come in, they'd know something was up, so why not just drag them to the kitchen? or hall? If they just wanted the bodies out of their way? Why the bedroom? Just a thought.

It would seem if an injured person crawled then died they would be on their stomach, jmo Bj reported seeing GR first in the room, then just up (which to me would mean further in the room) was CRsr, which would lead me to believe he was in the room and GR was drug there. Bj said it looked like drag marks in blood, it would have had to be obvious to her that is what she saw. jmo

In the Hazlitt article it was stated that "She found her sister’s ex-husband on the floor, bloodied and still, covered up."[FONT=&quot] [/FONT]She had to have raised that cover to know that he appeared to have been severely beaten. Also, if you listen to the 911 audio again, it is as if GR is an afterthought to BJM. (She doesn't mention GR until almost 1.5 minutes into the call, although it is said that they were lying next to one another so he'd be hard to miss... js.)

"Give me just a second. let me walk to the mailbox. I think my bil is dead. Give me just a second. 4077 UHR. 4077, Yes, 4077 UHR. There's blood all over the house. My bil is in the bedroom, it looks like someone has beat the hell out of him. There's blood all over the front room. Pike County, yes, and they drug him (CR1) in the bedroom. Yes I did. Mine's Bobbie. huh? unintelligable Chris Rhoden, and Gary Rhoden. Both of them in there look like they're dead. I think they're both dead, looks like someone has beat the f*** out of them. Not that I know of. The doors was locked when I got here but I knowed where the key was at and I went in and they were laying on the floor. yeah, I'm out of the house and standing outside right now. Yeah. I thank you. Sobbing, Please don't let it be."

Maybe killing them all in their beds has something to do with the "deeper than drugs", and is very personal to the assailant(s). It took some extra time, and lifting, to not just leave them where they fell though. I'd think that they'd have just drug them over to the side, out of the way, if the bodies were in the way of whatever it was they were going to take. Maybe it is significant. Maybe it's not. It just rambled through my brain today.

I'd say that bullet casings were the last she'd be looking for. I just figured from GR'S dad that the assailants missed picking up a couple.

Ok, if she said "them", just before giving both their names, that shaves off around 5 -7 seconds. But up until then it was only her bil she mentioned. May be nothing, but I feel like I'd have mentioned that I found my bil and his cousin, in the first 5-7 seconds. Along the lines of: Send a deputy, I just found my bil and his cousin and they look like they've been beaten to death.

It's probably nothing. I just feel she had more affection for CR1 though. GR seemed secondary.

If she thought they had been beaten to death she would not be looking for shell casings. jmo

BJ wasn't looking for shell casings. Most likely, she was doing her best to try and keep some of her thoughts together. Which I would think that would be a great task, finding two relatives dead. Chris had two shots to the head, and Gary had three. There's no way either of them could have crawled anywhere.
