I don't know if these fellas had been on any of the properties before the murders, Knuckles. If they hadn't then they had to have someone with them who was familiar to the R's. On that note I go from JM or a son of his, or a tattoo artist that just won't leave my mind. Moo.
de acuerdo. Thanks

I think LE took all the trailers away because they would be nothing but frames by the end of the year. The family would have removed everything of value and sentimental value. People around town would have just entered them out of curiosity... picking and poking around, taking souvenirs, tearing walls down to look for hidden valuables, taking photos or "show and tell" and doing all the things that... / ...people from outside of the area would be doing. That is, filming for their Youtube channels... conducting seances, making EVP recordings for victim's voices and arriving with all the rest of their ghost hunting equipment. Making bets who can stay overnight until dawn without leaving, etc. People are nosy and many lack respect for others, alive or deceased. There are Youtube videos showing people entering "abandoned" homes, businesses, etc. filming everything down to the contents of refrigerators and toilets. People might turn one or two into "hang-outs" for sexual encounters and drugs... you name it; some people can be so "lovely." If LE had left those trailers behind, I think it would have been like vultures descending and destroying or stealing every last thing on all 4 premises. Without posting guards around the clock on all 4 places, which is not practical, I can't see any other way to ensure the crime scenes remain intact... and, if not intact, at least not destroyed completely... horrible words spray painted all over the places (for family to perhaps eventually see.) I really think that LE would preserve many crime scenes if they could but they can't. In this case, imo, they could so they did.

Can someone please direct me to any discussion here, or elsewhere, on the bedbug issue. I have seen "bedbugs and GR" mentioned several times. I have tried to find out what the connection is with no luck.
Thank you in advance.

$25,148.36 for rental fees, portable restrooms, surveillance cameras, fuel, coolers, undercover truck, and bed bug treatments for one of the Rhoden crime scenes
Ohio AG Office: 'unable to identify' all Pike County costs

Which trailer needed treatment, to my knowledge, was never identified (other than by people who make stuff up to fit their scenario without any verifiable source).

Without a link, that says which trailer they're in, I'm simply theorizing. Just like everyone else here. Sorta like programming; If, Then, Else.

The sheriff has stated they've already removed all the evidence they needed from the crime scenes. Any additional evidence they may get from the homes won't be admissible in court because it was left in a warehouse that was discovered unlocked and unguarded. That was a pretty careless move on their part.

JMO, LE took them out of spite towards surviving family mmembers, for the same reason they waited 10 weeks to announce a paltry reward. They've since changed their laser focus, but it's too late.

It might have been LE spite towards the family but, not knowing what LE knew at that point in time, I don't feel comfortable trying to guess as to any emotional motivations on their part. For example, based on what LE knew (that we may still not know) and their theories at that time, maybe they felt the properties would not be safe for family members to live in. Isn't Reader still talking about the family's safety and possibility of a potential threat to them to this day? I don't know if he's right, wrong or trying to manipulate some action on someone's part or get someone to say something ~or~ due to some other reasoning on his part. I really can't guess why he feels this way because only LE knows.
However, based on human nature, I feel safe saying elimination of the properties removed many hazards and nefarious activities that would have required constant LE observations and possible "call outs" to UHR at all hours of the day and night. JMO. Hundreds of other, crime scenes and how the public treats those crime scenes like tourist attractions, is proof enough for me.
ETA: My comment here is not meant to negate what you wrote in your comment. My point is that you may very well be correct as you are speculating using what information you have to work with. I'm just more comfortable assigning a motivation to LE by concluding that "people trash abandoned properties" so, we both might be correct. The two theories can co-exist iow.

I also think the homes were confiscated to get the family members to talk in order to get their sentimental items back...

High. I know im new here but jmo its not this hard if we all would go back to day one hour one and think of the (people) capable of doing such a crime. This is what ive thought from the start before the cartel the child custody the demolition derby fights the crjr road rage used cars being stolen bbl bs opioids stolen 18wheeler loaded with king tuts tumb and artifacs stolen money stolen drugs yes i missed a dozen or so i know but it comes down to day one hour one. What type of people could do this (not only to these people but anyone)? they were very sloppy so sloppy dewine and le is overloaded they were not pro's a pro goes in quick are pinpoint and leave. Jmo its been solved but le is using and milking those involved. I know where the proof . From the time of the crime just go ahead 6 to 8 months after and read your local headlines seems we can connect the dots? Le know i just wish they could come out and explain and fill us in. but. jmo they cant at this time until the others (criminals) are dealt with on(in) other situations. I could be wrong but i just think it was a robbery and info gathering by any meens to get what they needed. oh i forgot to mention (gold bars?) these rumers stick to people with almost nothing or ones who need to earn ect all this is jmo. You all have been very nice and if you can change my mind i will admit it no problem. Iv been wrong everyday of my life im used to it so its ok. Thanks

I agree Dudley but those items won't be salvageable now unfortunately. It just breaks my heart thinking of all those sentimental memories lost.
I don't think it was up to Reader making the decision to move the homes either, I think it was right though otherwise they would have been trashed.

Being boarded up with the heat of the summers, they would all have to be a bio-hazard...I'd be afraid to guess what all might be growing in them...

I like this Knuckles, very much. Reading between the lines I'm thinking that 6 to 8 months after the killings , some people went to court and got time for crimes committed before the killings? LE don't want to act on the killings until these jailbirds are set free? I bet I've got that wrong, I'm like you, I'm wrong almost every day lol. JMO that I've read you right. Now local headlines I'm limited as I can't access many of them from here but I'm sure someone here can.

I don't see anyone ever living in them again if they had left them as they stood, after the murders. The homes would likely been considered biohazards anyway, w/o storage, and the cost to clean them would be quite a lot, and it would fall to TR, BR, and KR's children, I would think. Also, there have been numerous folks who have driven down that road w/o the trailers there. I can only imagine what that road would be like if they hadn't taken the trailers. I tend to think, though, that there is a specific reason for it, LE can push folks in other ways that are far less expensive.

High. "Le cannot just take a child away because they suspect a parent or guardian" yes they 100% can IF they have enough evidence to show a judge a parent or guardian is involved which leads me back to saying they just dont have anything and if they had anything then the child would go with family on the mothers side or im sure someone would have taken her if le told them they have evidence on the w's if not then foster care. jmo of coarse im just saying if le had anything at all then the child would not be with suspected murderers whoever they may be in any case.
ALMOND! you are right! and can you give more insite i believe you and i are on the same page with the same people involved. thanks
If LE had evidence to show the parent of a minor child was involved in the murders, there would also be arrests for the murders of 8 people.

We don't know that all the homes were unlivable. There are many homes in existence that were once crime scenes, later restored and occupied. The family members who inherited these properties should have been allowed to make their own decisions about what to do with their family property, particularly when it served no further purpose to The investigation.

The only things unusual about these crime scenes is the abnormal way they were handled by OAG and BCI.

Could they have possibly treated all the homes as a preventive because they were going into storage?

I think that is very possible. My reasoning behind that thinking, is, so they wouldn't attack folks when they had to go inside at some point. Also, my thinking it was probably located in CR1's place, is, if I were a parent, (and I am), and I picked up my child from their other parent's home, after their time with our child, and said child had bed bug bites all over them, then the home would have to be treated prior to the child returning. We see two parents, who had visitation arrangements set up, and neither parent mentioned bed bugs, in their interviews. This is why I feel it was probably CR1's trailer, that, and LM saying it was basically a "shell". I also feel like it was the trailer that most of the weed was sold out of, and, if you have folks coming in and out from other places, and possibly crashing on a mattress or couch, they too could have brought them in with them. Bed bugs are usually brought in from somewhere, they don't just "appear". The most common way to get bed bugs is travel (shoes, purse, clothing, luggage, etc...). Just some thoughts.
