When I read of DRs fears;I knew in my heart what my biggest fear would be. It would be that my son were in danger of engaging in something so dangerous it very well could put put his life in danger.

In post 401 Altojack puzzles over what DR was crying about at work the night of the murders. I can't help but question in my mind if a business relationship had been severed. I also can't help but wonder if the straw that broke the camels back was when DR fought to prevent HMR from getting in something over her head.

DR was begging in prayer for protection against someone powerful. It's just a theory but it's possible it was,' every mother's biggest fear that her child would make a mistake that they could never recover from'. Perhaps she realized her family were perceived as a threat or of no further usefulness and there was no authority but God to help them.

Mittens. Used Google again for Longs Retreat. According to some reviews it can get very noisy of a weekend with locals arriving in their RVs. Vehicles driving fast through the sites, not safe for children. Shouting, drinking and peeing wherever due to lack of public toilets going on into the early hours. No swimming pool, just a stinky murky lake. No security not that I'm looking for a place to stay mind you. I love to have fun but a weekend there sounds quite scary.

I believe it was speculated to be 2 weeks prior. I have nothing to back that up with besides my own memory of public conversations. I do remember LM stating something in an interview or maybe I’m remembering wrong. I’ll have to go look at his interviews again.

Makes me stop and think about the punch up that happened or didn't happen 2 weeks before murders. Remember the talk of a fight between big man W and CR1?

DR and CR1 were back together. She was no longer the "ex". There is still a post on her FB page saying how much she loved him. DR and CR1 were living together in the new trailer.

I agree-no thank you. Thes description of these campgrounds reminds me of a local motorcycle club here with their own private campground with permanent spots. It’s nothing but trouble. JMO.

Never been an acceptable source to verify that a fight ever happened. It is only rumor at this point.

They may have been living in the trailer together for financial reasons.

DR, and it appears, the R family, were friends with BH and his family, and BH was into Demo Derbies too. She mentions the evil/wicked people, on his memorial page, 3x in 2014, and once in 2015.

From DR's FB status, "It's Complicated", along with BJM's statement in the interview below, I don't think that they lived together, in a permanent sense.

To the best of my knowledge, if CR1 & DR were living together, that info has never been confirmed by a verifiable source that can be shared here on ws.

What I don’t understand is the family’s involvement in the grow op that Dewine describes. From my limited knowledge of growing mj, it’s a time consuming project. This family worked hard and for many hours. The R men had their hands in many entrepreneurial activities including car resale and construction. One R drove a couple hours every day to get to/from work. DR and HR worked as nurse’s aides which is a tough job. I would think the grow op would have provided them with some significant cash and an easier lifestyle. I don’t see anything easy in their lives.

Is it possible that their only involvement in the grow op would be in renting out the land and their barns to growing pros? Could they have been trying to get out of the deal and were stopped by the growers? Could these be the evil ones that DR refers to? I would think a grow op as large as one described would require a lot of time, knowledge and commitment. Where did the R’s learn to run such a large grow op? Is there evidence that they were selling? If not, how did the mj get moved? When did they have the time to work the plants?

I have a hard time believing that these killings were not done by pros. Whoever did this is heartless, cold and calculating. To be able to shoot two young mothers with their babies lying next to them and a 16 year old boy requires a lot of hatred or a lot of money. The killers had to be very familiar with the land and property, the surveillance equipment, and the family’s routine. They had no problem getting into their homes, killed eight people in four different locations, left little evidence, and got away without being seen or heard. People are afraid to talk, refuse to cooperate with police, and it’s easy to understand why.

Dewine said he has laser focus on the W family. Could it be because he knows they had knowledge of the growing op setup and he is trying to get them to talk? If I had been personal friends with a family and they were all murdered, I would be tempted to do exactly what they did. I would pack up only what I needed and move my loved ones very far away.

Just my rambling thoughts tonight. There are so many questions surrounding these murders. Were the R’s perfect? No, but they didn’t deserve to die such a horrible way.

That is just another possibility. If they were not renting property but maybe were supplying someone under a contract type of arrangement, things may have gone wrong. The Rs might have wanted a bigger cut of the money when they saw the income being made. Or, they decided to go on their own instead of supplying someone to get all the money instead of a share. There could have been threats to to go to LE if they didn't get more of the money. If there were prominent people involved that could not be outed, they may have made sure they couldn't get outed...
